We invite you to experience the delights and hospitality of our italian cuisine, the richest and most varied, with dishes perfect for every occasion.
Also two private rooms available.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
Lovely food with an authentic Italian style and flavour. I lived in Rome for four years and felt I was back there. Service and value for money was first class.
Wonderful food and service for amazing value. Will be back.
Excellent restaurant with welcoming host and staff and wonderful authentic Italian cuisine
We had a thoroughly enjoyable, all be it brief, meal at Da Giua, only one course each as we were late for a concert at the Barbican. Both the fish and pasta were good and the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. We look forward to a longer, more leisurely, meal next time. I would recommend Da Giua for any one that likes proper Italian food and anyone visiting the Barbican centre as it's not even 5 minutes walk away.
This is a great restaurant. Excellent cooking and friendly staff.
Excellent food. V well done. Unpretentious. Great value for money.
A friend and I tried out this new restaurant in Whitecross Street and we found it very pleasant. All the food was up to standard although I did find my pasta with octopus ink colouring a little bit hard but otherwise everything was very satisfactory. The first course with cured beef was delicious. The prawns served with my second course were very tasty and my friend's ricotta cheese pudding was delicious. Our white wines were crisp and pleasant and the service very friendly and chatty. This place is well worth investigating.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had a 1 year old, energetic baby with us and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was tasty and there were some interesting specials. Good location, comfortable seating inside.
Went with friends from work for lunch and as always was great. Amazing food, really good service and nice light space.
Fantastic in every respect. Great food, good staff, nice guy in charge. Wouldn't hesitate to go back
Great value for money - true Italian dishes served (and I assume prepared) by Italians at a reasonable cost (mind you, we got a 20% discount and a free glass of prosecco when we went). The appetisers, mains and desserts were all very tasty. Overall highly recommended for a relaxed Friday night dinner in the neighbourhood.
Not brilliant. Not a patch on Alba.
Nice service, tables not comfortable and the food was mediocre.
The Zucchini soufle was not a soufle but more like a cheese fondue, the Tuna carpaccio was tasteless and overpriced.
Fritto misto was passable.
Would not go again, far superior places in the vicinity.
Our visit was "OK" but not outstanding. One vegetarian dish was rather dry. The fish in a fish dish was nicely cooked, but the potatoes were a little underdone and there was not enough accompanying vegetable. Excellent service. The menu is divided according to Italian norms without translation of headings, so it is rather confusing to non-Italians. A simple English style listing of dishes would be better.
Great restaurant with lovely food. We were late due to a train delay and they were very accommodating- we managed two courses and coffee in 35 minutes without feeling rushed. Highly recommended
A most agreeable restaurant. Good service, possibly a little slow, but friendly and efficient.
An interesting menu with some daily specials which we enjoyed.
The pricing although not exorbitant was not economical.
It is well worth a visit, and we hope to return when we next visit the Barbican area.
Lovely little local Italian, v convenient for a concert at the Barbican! Pizza was absolutely delicious - highly reccomended for fresh tomato sauce and delicious aubergines.
Really nice, neighbourhood Italian. Not fine dining so I wouldn't choose it for a fancy celebration but if you want an authentic Italian experience at very reasonable prices and with good service I'd highly recommend it.
Friendly Italian with good pasta dishes and wine. Nice atmosphere and great location for the Barbican centre
Food is outstanding, but the menu is rather limited and the portions are relatively small. It tends to be on the pricier side, but their cannoli are to die for.
I found this restaurant very last minute on our way into London for dinner pre show at the Barbican. I was so happy I did! The restaurant was lovely and cosy ans the staff were fantastic and very attentive. A lovey atmosphere with really great and well presented food! Would defiantly go back again.
The food is great and the service is excellent and personal. Relaxed atmosphere. It is one of my favourite restaurants in London.
Food was very good. Service was fine although restaurant was pretty empty.
Lovely good value for money Italian food. Very flavoursome food. I had the pappardelle rage with truffle so good! Definitely return for more!
I was a little concerned when we got to restaurant for a 7:30 reservation and the place was almost empty with only other two tables in use! Not usually a good sign -- the unfortunate part of this was that there were quite a few wait staff just hanging about which was a bit awkward. BUT the food was very very good across the board -- from appetizers to entrees. All 5 of us were very happy with our meals....the pasta was particularly delicious; and one in our party was happy to have a gluten free option for pasta. Wait staff were attentive and helpful although as noted it was a bit awkward at times. None of us could figure out why the place was so empty as the food certainly is worth a trip. We concluded that the location was probably the culprit as it's pretty much out of the way in London and not really nearby to much of anything. But I would recommend that potential diners ignore that and give the place a try....the food will make you happy you did!
This was my first visit. I found the restaurant welcoming and the staff warm and friendly. The food was excellent and good portions. I will definitely be back and have recommended it to friends
Interesting menu with good quality variations on Italian standards. Quick service for pre-dinner meal. Pistachio pesto was "the best pesto I have ever eaten"!
We had a lovey meal at this restaurant. The food was very good as was the service. I liked the interior too - very warm and comfortable. I would go back if I was in the area. The atmosphere was relaxed and we could talk easily which was good for us.
Great classic dishes with just enough of a twist on each to elevate them into being special. Friendly service too.
Great food, great service. Menu is not the typical generic menu and is smaller than most Italian restaurants which is good because you can tell the ingredients are fresh and great quality. Will definitely be back.
We were staying at the Montcalm hotel just around the corner, so we thought we'd try this new Italian restaurant. And what a wonderful surprise. The food was excellent and the service quick and attentive. It was fairly quiet, but hopefully once established it'll become more popular. We'd certainly recommend it.
