Da Paolo Restaurant
Sunday 4:00pm until 10:00pm
Brought my new girlfriend here for our first date night after seeing so many positive reviews, and am very glad I did. The food we had from the set menu was absolutely delicious and served promptly by the courteous and professional staff, and we were not at all rushed to finish. It was a very relaxed and cosy place to have a lovely meal and pleasant conversation for a few hours. I definitely recommend it.
my favourite Italian in London - always great food and service
as always i leave this place fully satisfied. excellent traditional italian menu always supported well by daily specials
Love the food here, authentic Italian! Highly recommended!
For its price point, very hard to fault. I enjoyed swordfish with simple sauteed vegetables, followed by a gargantuan tiramisu. The staff were friendly and attentive
Get the duck main it’s ridiculous!!
A great and unpretentious Italian. Good menu with all the classics and some great specials. Cosy, good and personal service and exactly what you want from a local Italian. Really enjoyed it.
Tables almost touching so no privacy. Food, large portions but quality fair. Prices ok for food and wine in that neighborhood. We were there 90 minutes when manager, interrupted our conversation to basically tell is to order dessert or pay bill and leave. We were unpleasantly surprised as there were empty tables and nobody waiting for a table.
The little cosy resturant . Tasty food and fantastic service. Best to make reservations.
Lovely cosey spot for wholesome Italian food. Great food reasonable prices.
Really wonderful. Like going to Italy. Very authentic. Food was so fresh and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it!!!
Italiano buonissimo, posto piccolo, intimo ma molto caloroso, cibo ottimo, saporito e cucinato bene, ma soprattutto porzioni enormi.
Assolutamente consigliato, ci tornerò sicuramente.
Provatelo ne vale la pena.
Absolutely charming neighborhood Italian gem. Wonderful service. Delicious, fresh ingredients. We started with Tagliatelle with freshly shaved truffles. Amazing. Perfect, simply done swordfish, lovely salad and an exquisite Vermentino. We look forward to another visit when we return to London. Bravo Da Paolo!
Excellent menu, lovely food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Absolutely loved our meal. Went on a date and enjoyed every minute of it. The service was excellent as the waiters always had an eye on you. Food was incredible, and not only that but the portions were huge. We both left feeling absolutely stuffed with the freshest food. Really was cheap considering that for a date for two, eating 3 courses and a bottle of wine for no more than £90. They even provided free espressos after we had paid the bill. Loved every minute.
We discovered this restaurant on our first visit to London and have come here on every return trip — 6 times over the years. It is a small, cozy, unpretentious, very authentic Italian restaurant with a good combination of traditional and innovative dishes. I couldn’t begin to tell you everything that was in the sauce on the fabulous mushroom and truffle raviolis but it was subtle and just out of this world. A steady, reliable, exceptionally high quality restarante/trattoria.
Excellent, interesting and well presented dishes. Friendly and attentive staff.
Great meal in friendly local restaurant- a real find and we’ll be going back
Have been coming here for years & unfortunately we were greeted by a man we have never seen before who was very abrupt queried the booking until I showed him confirmation on phone & was quite rude to two of our party.
Very nice people but the food lacked real love care and attention....out of all the choice of restaurants and availability of good produce it seems hard for me to understand why the restaurants don't up their game.....presentation is everything and the use of oil to enhance the look of the plates from the kitchens is such an antiquated idea.
Very nice, small, neighborhood restaurant. Staff was friendly, and food was good, with surprisingly large portions. Desserts were very nice as well.
Great traditional Italian.
This was our 3rd visit to Da Paolo... this time for a birthday meal with friends. Love the ambience, the great ingredients and the service. Staff are friendly and it's a great place for a lively meal out.
It was a casual family and friends dinner. Everyone loved their food. Sevice was very good and friendly. A very nice, authentic Italian. Most probably family run.
Fantastic food, freshly prepared with very tasty ingredients
Always friendly and cosy. Good value with an extensive menu. Ideal for two or four dining.
A very nice meal good service food reasonably priced
But the cost of drinks extremely high
Amazing Italian food with a vast variety of options from the food drinks and desserts. Not to forget the excellent customer service
Good ambiance, the service is very attentive and the food great and very good portions
Another fab meal at Da Paolo. We have been a few times and never disappointed. The starters are all enormous and good quality as are the main courses. You do not need to order side dishes. the four of us were too full to have a dessert. We will return .
Delicious food, good choice on the menu, Cosy atmosphere with friendly professional service - a little gem of a restaurant!
Splendid Italian restaurant, great staff - friendly and accommodating. Always enjoyable, recommended.
Fantastic little cute restaurant with a great service. Food was delicious.
Great food and friendly family place.
A hidden jewel.
Delicious food, excellent value for money and cozy atmosphere!
Da Paulo is a great Italian restaurant. the menu has a good selection to choose from and the food is always good. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and provide a good service. The ambiance is also great, overall highly recommended.
Da Paola is a great alternative to the chain restaurants that dominate this part of London. It feels like a well run family affair (although it probably isn't) with staff who clearly know and love their jobs. The food is simple but substantial and relies on old favourites. I had the veal with Parma ham which was tasty and came with loads of veg. My only thought is that it was served with gravy and this is not a traditional Italian way of serving it. The tiramisu was delicious. I'll be back.
Da Paola is a gem in the sea of chain restaurants in this part of London. Service is brisk and friendly, the food is old-style restaurant Italian (think boar ragu with papardelle, burrata with roasted pepper, spaghetti vongole). The food is well cooked, substantial (for London) and arrives promptly. It's a popular place so booking is advised. I'll be back.
This was my second visit to Da Paolo, this time with my husband, who is a true foodie. Our meal didn't disappoint. He had mussels to start and declared them delicious, whilst I really enjoyed my goats cheese salad. Portions are very generous, so be prepared! Hubby loved his Wild Board papardelle and I also enjoyed the seafood spaghetti. No room for desserts, though... Wine is decently priced and the service was flawless. Highly recommended.
Da Paolo is a lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho. The food was delicious and authentic. We had a table on the main floor and the ambiance was great. I would recommend this for a date or for a party of four for dinner.
