Welcome to Daisy Tasker - our 2 AA Rosette Scottish Bistro is situated within Hotel Indigo Dundee and a stone's throw away from the waterfront area.

Who is Daisy? Daisy Tasker worked in the mill from the age of 14 and was given the well earned moniker of social organiser due to the volume of teas, dances and parties she arranged for colleagues during her near 50-year career.

With sumptuous dishes and fine wines sourced from a specialist wine merchant to complement them, Daisy Tasker is the perfect place to unwind and sample our fantastic range of locally sourced produce.

    Great place to meet up with friends. Their Dundee tea is their version of afternoon tea. The savoury selection is particularly good. Would recommend.

    Super. Pretty low expectations (hotel restaurants usually disappoint) but Daisy Tasker is really good. Not an ambitious menu, but some interesting things, and it was really well made, seasoned and presented. Lovely staff and a reasonable bill. Slightly lacking in atmosphere, but we’d go again. Try it!

    Our party of four all agreed it was some of the nicest food we have eaten. Interesting menu, and dishes were delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and it was busy but didn’t feel too crowded.

    A nice restaurant but not a great one. A little open (ex jute Mill) led to a bit of a canteen feel. The food was good but not great. Waitress was lovely, friendly and engaged. Drinks menu was expensive to the point of overpriced.

    Staff were very friendly and obliging to make my son’s birthday more special - the brownies and message were a lovely touch! Food was fantastic - perfect portion sizes and very tasty. Service was very good too. The lovely velvet booth we had meant we felt very private and not distracted by other customers.

    Urban visible pipes and ducted (?) ceilings energy muted nicely by quiet booths. As per previous visits unlike places where food isn't quite as good as the listings in the menu, we found in Indigo the food continues to surprise by being better than those words on the menu ! If you havn't been, it's not as out of the way as you think.

    Lauren was both helpful and fun. The wine was great, a South African white. The food was swell too - Lucy is very particular about hothead cooking of duck.

    Excellent food and excellent service. Had a wonderful meal for Mother’s Day. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Myself and the grannies appreciated the mini bottles of gin liqueur that were being handed out for the occasion very much! The kids menu was also great and enjoyed by our two little ones. We will definitely be back!

    Lovely afternoon tea - they do more savoury than sweet but this suited our group. Great selection of food highlighting Scottish favourites and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

    We were made to feel welcome and seated right away. The staff were friendly and efficient. Water was brought to the table whilst we made our choice of wine and given time to order. The menu was explained and the choice was varied. We all chose different and my husband who is a steak lover said it was the best he had tasted and well seasoned. Very nice relaxed enjoyable evening. Can't wait to come back.

    This really is a forgotten wee gem of an eatery. The food was excellent and service was exceptional-this may have been as other than two other diners the place was empty. We will certainly be returning but perhaps some additional advertising might be in order as it would be such a shame if it closed due to lack of use.

    Had a fantastic night and the food was delicious. The only downfall was that there had been a technical error with the printers and the kitchen hadn't received numerous orders. This meant a 40 minute wait for our starters, from the time we sat down, and then a further 45 minute wait for our mains. The staff done all they possibly could to rectify the situation quickly, though service to the customers, keeping is informed and taking drinks orders while we waited, could have been better. The manager was very attentive and kindly gave us 10% off our bill, though we didn't ask and never expected to be given this. The experience hasn't put us off, as we will certainly be back again!

    Another fantastic stay with wonderful food. So happy Macca and his team have kept a very high standard on food and service from our last visit… Highly recommend dining @Daisy Taskers….Oh and the Red wine sauce again Outstanding!!!! Can’t wait for our next visit.

    When we first walked in we were impressed on how good the restaurant looked. we were seated at our table and asked for our drinks order then our meal order. starters were good and we both enjoyed them. onto the main course and we were both left disappointed. the bun of the burgers were very dry and were unable to eat them. on the menu it states that the chips are left on skin chips. After ordering a extra portion we were left disappointed as they were your run of the mill chips you can get at any greasy spoon. no member of staff asked if our meals were OK but we overheard the table next to us asked if they enjoyed theirs?!? we asked for the bill paid and left. we won't be back and will not be recommending to family and friends if they are visiting dundee.

    Lovely food and service as always. It was nice to see the place relatively full but still with a quiet relaxed ambience. We will be back again soon!
