Amazing food, lovely staff a fabulous lunch and enjoyed by all
My friend and I went to celebrate my birthday. From the consierge greeting us and showing us to the restaurant, pointing out the lounge en route, to the waiters and waitresses and the very knowledgeable young man who helped us select the wine the staff were outstanding.
We enjoyed a lovely meal with wonderful flavours and glorious presentation and then retired to the lounge to finish our wine and round off a great experience with hot chocolate and a truffle. Bliss!
What more can I say fantastic food and great service! Enjoyed a birthday luncheon and amazing value for money.
My sister and I have been in several times during weekdays and have always enjoyed the food. I had the sirloin and it was gristly and not tender and so I had to leave most of it. My sister enjoyed the chicken and we both enjoyed the starters and deserts and of course as always the service was very very good.
Everything was just excellent. Food, staff a place where you can have a conversation with friends without noise. Not just a run of the mill restaurant.
Excellent food and great service. An excellent wine list and good vegetarian menu. We had a sophisticated time. Truly five star.
Delicious food, quiet, nice service compliments to the chef
Pretty Average to be honest....
Food was alright, service was better.
Definitely won’t be going back
Save your money and go to the olive tree
In One Word Amazing. Great Service, Great Food and Great Ambience.
The food quality and presentation was excellent and the service impeccable. Well done to all the staff for making our lunch so lovely. Thank you.
Would highly recommend the 7 course tasting menu. The food was superb and seemed to get even better with each course. The staff were friendly and professional and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely worth the money!
Possibly the most delicious meal I have eaten all year . Every mouthful a treat with a wonderful combination of flavours .
I've been many times and that is simply because it is the best Restaurant in Bath !
the chicken tea was lovely. the pate was very good. the prawn in the scallop dish was tough and in a bowl that was hard to eat out of. lamb was great. duck was way too pink and actually raw. dessert lovely. Wine recommendations good.
Our first visit and what a pleasure! Everything was perfect. the food the staff all perfect. Fantastic experience and looking forward to our next visit.
Good Sunday lunch and lovely friendly staff.
Opted for the 5 course taster menu ( without wines ) very nice food. Small portions sadly and some dishes way over done with sauces and toppings sadly. Ie Duck and Beef. Very Enjoyable and great service. Limited menu choices would stop you eating here more than twice unfortunately.
Took the 5 course tasting menu .... lovely experience and evening .... beautifully presented food, thoughtfully paired wines and attentive but not overbearing staff and service made our dinning experience memorable .... hope to repeat on a future visit to Bath
Always excellent and friendly staff. Pity about the customers!
Enjoyed every dish immensely and at £38 for two people, their mid week lunchtime deal represents outstanding value for money.
Fabulous once again.
Sunday lunch was outstanding quality and great value.
If this place is striving for a michelin star it has a long way to go. Refine the menu, have a look at your FOH and continuity of service and raise their knowledge and enthusiasm. The pacing of dishes is off too as it felt there was no space between courses. It was all just a little to try hard and no focus
Delicious, well presented and thoughtfully created dishes served by attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant setting is perfect for an intimate dinner.
A meal with a friend. Staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food was exquisite. It was our second visit and we'll be back. Highly recommended!
Outstanding food, service and ambience. Amazing experience can’t wait to go again soon !
The food was so tasty and the service was great Looking forward for next visit 😃
The Dan Moon restaurant has a lot going for it and has been a good addition to the numerous dining out choices available in Bath. It's ideal for a special occasion but prices are well above average even forcBath!
This was an early birthday treat to a good mate who lives a long way away. It had been recommended by another friend and it certainly lived up to her high praise.
We enjoyed the atmosphere ,gentle unobtrusive music, super setting ,friendly staff but mostly the fantastically presented and delicious food. So good my friend took her other half the next day !
We went for a birthday dinner. The design of the restaurant is stunning and the seating was very comfortable. We ordered from the 2 course menu. The food was well executed but lacked that special something that lifts it to outstanding. The amuse bouche was a chicken 'tea' which was pleasant but the chicken broth was a little bland. The homemade bread and flavoured butters were very good. We had the beef fillet starter and the cured beef was too salty for me and the toppings were alright but didn't seem to quite complement the beef. For the main we had duck and cod. The duck was very salty but beautifully cooked however the plum puree didn't have enough flavour to come through and again it seemed just a little bland. We had cocktails and I was stunned to see that a whiskey sour was £16, which seemed a little steep. I would also have liked to have seen a few more wines by the glass offered. The service was good.
good food, but absurdly overpriced for the level of service received
Great service, the food was lovely and we had a perfect night.
Great food and ambience. Very attractive dishes used but they made eating the food a little awkward. I found it difficult to cut the duck, main course, served in such a high sided bowl.
The tomato soup was rich and full of flavour and the afore mentioned duck was perfectly cooked and tender.
Overall a lovely experience which I would not hesitate to repeat
We had another wonderful lunch quietly celebrating my husband’s birthday. The 2 for 1 lunch offer is excellent value. The service is attentive without being intrusive. There is low volume background music playing which we feel is pitched just right. We ate from the vegetarian/vegan menu - lots of choice, beautifully presented dishes full of flavour and different textures. Great wine list.
The lunch offer here is a steal. The food and service were great on the whole and it's a really good dining experience. Highly recommended if you go for the lunch offer (3 course £38 for 2 people). Only criticism would be the serving of the wines: 1. served at the wrong temperature and when this was raised we were told that they would store it at the right temperature for a few minutes and then it would be ok - not what I would expect and wouldn't have fixed things. 2. They'd run out of the desert wine were ordered so recommended another, which was over double the price, and neglected to mention this - luckily I checked before ordering!
Incredible food and wonderful service. Couldn’t fault a thing
All four of us really enjoyed the lunch. The food was excellent, wonderful flavours and beautifully presented. Every dish was explained including the bread and the most suitable butter to use. It was the first time at the restaurant for our friends and they were very impressed as well.
Fantastic food in beautiful rooms, unbelievable value.
Excellent as always. My friend who has a shellfish allergy and was delighted with the cauliflower risotto made especially to go with her sea bream instead of the crab risotto. One tiny thing a little chilly sitting under the air con. Which they did try to lessen for me. My friends were fine though. Always superb bread rolls.
We are regular lunchtime diners and once again the food was a delight and remarkable value for money.
