May Green opens from the early hours of the morning (perfectly executed flat whites and banana bread) to the late hours of the evening (buzzing bar with nine local craft beers on tap and live music).
Darcie Green provides the perfect setting for canal side dining, serving Aussie brunch, healthy lunch and relaxing dinners. With an Antipodean-inspired menu, dishes are bold, fresh and comforting.
Bookings can be made Monday - Sunday for brunch, lunch and dinner via our website or Opentable.
We love walk ins too and reserve 50% of the restaurant for walk in customers.
Please note that we hold reserved tables for up to 15 minutes.
Original decor, good menu, good service. Overall a good experience although I found a bit pricey.
Very unique experience on a boat, however it does get chilly onboard on winter evenings so wrap up warm.
Food is good. Ambience is good. And service is good.
Lovely place on a boat, extra ordinary food, nice staff!
Lovely and niche venue, good for a nice weather evening. Easy access to transport. Great service and good food.
The food was awesome! Best brunch ever :)
My boyfriend and I had an absolutely brilliant evening here for our anniversary last week (mid October). The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the ambience was just delightful. We arrived an hour earlier than our booking and enjoy some drinks on the roof of the boat. As it wasn't busy, we were able to be seated 15 minutes earlier than our booking which made the night go more smoothly.
The food was served quicker than expected (about 15 mins if that), and was all presented very nicely. We ordered several small plates to share. Everything was divine! I would just like to point out for other guests, in case they skim over the menu as we did; the sweet potato chips are HUGE. You only get about 4 or 5 and it looks like the entire sweet potato has been slices long ways with the skin. Yummy - but we didn't even eat half so I wouldn't order if you're not absolutely starving. ALSO: the regular chips are cooked in duck fat. As a vegetarian I didn't order this, but I did pinch some of my boyfriend's chips, as every girlfriend does, only to realise a few moments later what I had consumed... again - still yummy, but I wish I had known beforehand. Could not boast enough about how amazing all the food was!!
The cocktails were delicious. I enjoyed a french martini and a rosemary rush, the latter had a particular kick I'm still mouth watering over even a few days later!!
The dessert was impeccable. We got the chocolate ball as did everyone in the restaurant, and it did not disappoint! That was plenty between two people. It's also quite romantic to share too. But being us, we also ordered the yogurt meringue - delicious!! As we had such a great conversation with the manager and mentioned it was our anniversary, he didn't charge for our desserts! We were so touched, we are hoping to take some friends back with us soon.
Would definitely 1000% recommend this fun little find. Also it is only maybe 10 footsteps from Paddington Station! Definitely a date night to remember.
Really liked this quirky little venue. Something a bit different and with excellent food and wine. Will definitely return to Eat everything else on the menu.
Staff very helpful, they looked after our luggage whilst we dined.
We ordered a number of small plates which were delicious.
It is a bit pricey but the waterfront setting was worth paying for.
Lovely dinner! The food was delicious, the waiters were super friendly, and the place is very cute. Would definitely recommend and come back!
Located just next to Paddington’s Hammersmith and City line, it is a rare find. Whilst I thought it would be a fun little place for a business meal, the food was next level and really blew us away. Will be one of my “go to” restaurants from now on.
All round delicious experience from the wacky looking barge, exciting surroundings, genial atmosphere, friendly helpful service to the fabulous brunch menu, high quality beautifully cooked and presented meal. Particularly covet their handmade side plates! An original well executed idea. Fabulous
Great food and atmosphere
We booked via OpenTable as a last minute change from a more formal restaurant as we wanted to be relaxed. This was for a graduation celebration, which I noted in the comments of the booking form. The location was perfect for us and there was a good feel to the place on an early September Monday evening. Still warm enough to be sitting on a barge on the canal. The restaurant is nicely decorated, fun with just a little bit of a squeeze around the tables (not much space on a barge so I understand). The high standard of food more than made up for this, and the welcoming, friendly staff made it a fun evening. Topped off with a surprise round of cava for the new graduate and 3 others. She loved it. Thanks very much, accommodating, great food, fun place.
Went with girlfriends, had a wonderful time the food was really good and well presented. We went for bottomless brunch and the prosecco never ran out, the staff replaced empty bottles immediately. Highly recommend
Felt extremely sick after eating the food. Couldn't hear myself think, let alone my friend. Service was poor, had to literally fight to attempt to get the waiter's attention who was not attentive. Will not come again, and especially put off by the high prices of the food. Feeling so disappointed that I didn't even want to pay the bill but I did.
We had a great bottomless brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The food was outstanding, and a little bit different. The bottomless prosecco was definitely bottomless! We had a two hour booking slot, which would have been absolutely fine but as it was not busy we stayed at our table and had a few more glasses of fizz. Staff were really helpful and attentive. Highly recommended - we will be back with more friends!
The Brunch menu was incredible. Their french toast was fantastic and with bottomless prosecco - defo value for money.
Had a lovely waiter even let us have one more glass of prosecco even though they were closing and it was past our 2 hour slot, so really great service too.
Great venue in an accessible location. Love the design of the barges bar and restaurant. Good selection of food and very attentive waiter.
Food well presented and great red wine
Perfect for a first date
This is a nice setting, in a cost barge with pleasant decor and service. However I thought the food was really disappointing and the portions are smaller than you would expect based on price. I might return for a coffee or drink but would not eat here again.
Great location & venue. Easy to find & access. Relaxed atmosphere with creative brunch & lunch menus. Availed of the Bottomless Prosecco brunch deal - really good value.
Fantastic service and food-best bottomless brunch around! Will definitely be returning!
I had my bday breakfast here and it was simply amazing. The food was delish and also the atmosphere was incredible.
What a fantastic restaurant. You might think that a restaurant on a barge might be form over function, but that is definitely not the case here. Both the food and service was fantastic. It was my wife's birthday and not only did they give us a free glass of bubbles they also made a small chocolate cake. Thanks guys
Nice place but a bit too noisy for us.
Great venue, delicious food and a warm welcome. Made it just the right place for a birthday evening.
The waiter was so friendly and accommodating, outstanding service.. I wish I’d taken his name! Food & ambience great too.
Went with a group of friends for brunch as had been recommended it by another friend. The food was delicious and instagramable. I am obsessed with the banana bread! The boat venue made it feel like an intimate restaurant and we really appreciated the great service we were given.
What a unique & beautiful place! Definitely worth checking out on a beautiful evening and sipping the yummy cocktails on the faux-grassy roof while you wait for a table. The staff were very friendly as well.
We were disappointed in our waiting times - first, a cocktail took 20 minutes to arrive. Then, we sat with chatting for 45 minutes after finishing dinner with no one coming to collect our plates or offer us a dessert menu. It wasn’t busy at all by this time, either. Also, the portion sizes of the mains could use to be bigger for the price - I had to tuck into my pals’ spare sweet potato wedges to feel satisfied. Ah, well.
Absolutely overpriced for the quality of food and service provided. Expensive as an fine dining restaurant in mayfair. Food was good but not worth the prices.
Lovely brunch with healthy options. Definitely would eat there again!
Friendly service and great food, a fabulous night out.
Lovely filling food, wonderful location, but the service just wasn’t very good- water offered but didn’t come, took a while to order, drinks took ages (and no way of telling between two cocktails, one alcoholic and one non-, for my pregnant friend). Maybe just an off night, though, and it wouldn’t put me off returning.
A real little gem in paddington basin area with a varied menu and picturesque setting
We had a troubled visit from the start - our table wasn't ready so we waited in the bar for 30 mins and weren't collected. We chose our food from the bar menu but when we wanted to order we were told this menu wasn't available. The lunch menu advertised outside & online also was not available, only the brunch menu. We ordered food and when it arrived, fried into my bacon was a small black curly hair. The waiter was apologetic and offered drinks / a fresh meal but overall a poor experience which means I don't think I will return to this branch.
What a BRILLIANT night out! Great spot of dinner followed by drinks and live music in the bar! Great atmosphere, great service. 5*
Outstanding 10/10
We can’t thank the staff enough - it was just the perfect evening of dining / service / music / ambiance - topped off with a great chat with the chef.
This place has to be in my top three london places (Michelin star included)
Bravo 👏🏻
Friendly staff, fabulous food and good portions - what more could you want?
I love this restaurant. It looks like a ship. And its decoration is colourful and cute that makes me happy. I ordered the Granola and a cup of Americano.
Granola: Sweet. I felt happiness when I was eating it, even after finishing it. Yummy! I love it!
Americano
It tastes a little bit acidic and sharper. Not bad! Although it’s not my preference.
Very good service ! Nice idea to come early with kids!!
