GREAT FOOD, SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY. OUTSTANDING AMBIANCE!!Will definitely come back!!
JR is terrific. Great burgers and an excellent shared Thai sausage plate. Overall a wonderful experience.
We had a fantastic experience at DBGB! The service was exceptional, they took great care of us and the food delicious. They even brought out a few things for us to try :) will definitely be returning!
Repeat patron. Terrific in all aspects of dining experience.
Food was very good, but there was not enough wait staff. Service was very slow and unfriendly/cold. Management was unapologetic for all the service delays. Ended the dinner with being over charged. Management needs customer service training or to be replaced.
The service was spot on..our waiter was very pleasant, timely and knowledgable
Had a wonderful time. Service and food were excellent.
Was there for restaurant week $35 deal. Well worth it. Service slow.
We took advantage of Washington DC's restaurant week and dined on a Friday night.
We were early for our reservation so we sat at the bar for a drink. When I checked on our reservation, the manager said that a different table had opened up and he wanted to seat us at it. It was a lovely window table that was in a quiet corner of the restaurant. We were treated very well and were made to feel important, not just diners in for a meal. All in all the food was great and the service was superb!
Restaurant Week for lunch - what a wonderful deal. I had their winter salad, mac and cheese with mushrooms and key lime pie $25 bucks. It was a biz meal and we had no problem talking at a table in the front room.
Great service and delicious food. I would have given the food 5 stars, however both our entrees came delivered undercooked. My husband got the steak frites and ordered it Med to MR. The frites were crispy and wonderful, but the meat was blood red raw. I ordered scallops, which had a perfect outside sear and delicious sauce, but were totally raw in the center. Grand mariner soufflé for dessert also a tad underdone and wet towards the bottom. It was still very tasty and we really enjoyed ourselves overall.
From walking through the door to our departure, staff was uniformly friendly and efficient. Also patient while we decided between the restaurant week menu and their regular one. My mojito was one of the best prepared ones I’ve had. Our various starters, escargots, salad were nice sized and delicious. So we’re the main courses, mussels for me and halibut for the spouse. Rarely do you go an entire meal with everyone being satisfied with everything but we did. A lovely dining experience!
Service was really slow and poor. Food was very good!
Upscale restaurant with so-so service.
Decent business lunch spot. Check-in was a little chaotic despite a reservation, and our party of two was placed a bit awkwardly at a corner bank head set for 4 (so we had to sit either uncomfortably close or a bit too far from each other for business chat).
Once situated, service was prompt and the food was good - a little pricey but not terribly so for the upscale area.
Waiter was good - right amount of attention/communication.
I'd go back.
DBGB is my “go-to” restaurant for “new hire” lunches! Makes a great impression.
Good food excellent service
A cold evening calls for warm foods. The celeriac apple soup was perfect
The cod and orachetti were also well done. Tart was ok
Fantastic food, excellent service, reasonable prices. The location is great, the service is knowledgeable and overall very good, but let's talk about the food. The foie gras was perfectly seared, (non gavage btw) and served with just the right modifiers - some sweetness in the sauce, acidity from the fruit, etc. It wasn't overly oily and tasted amazing. The Boudin (if you haven't had it, you should) was perfectly cooked, which is a challenge with this kind of Cajun sausage. If you haven't had Boudin before, you should come here strictly to eat that. My girlfriend had two apps for her meal, the escargot (standard, well cooked) and the crabcakes(lots of crabmeat, four small cakes, and a delicious coleslaw to go with it). For dessert the soufflé was perfectly cooked and my girl loved the presentation.
As for drinks...I don't drink alcohol anymore, but my girl said the drinks were great and really that's what matters.
I definitely plan to come back again!
The food was good but not memorable (I loved the beignets). In particular, I was disappointed by the 25$ Cobb salad which is basically a huge bowl of lettuce with unmemorable extras...
Service was very good.
The food wasn’t the worst I’ve had, but it wasn’t good either. Bland. I got the burger and fries. The burger was done medium and was tough and chewy and had no flavor. The fries weren’t even fresh cut fries. They came out of a bag, frozen. And they were overdone. The drinks were weak. I wouldn’t go back. My friend got the salmon. He said the same. Not a lot of flavor. Not worth what you’re spending at all. Save your money. There are other better place in City Center!
It was amazing!!
I had the Escargot, Duck A L'Orange, and Gingerbread Souffle. Yummy.
Service was fair but slow. The lobster roll was adequate. Drinks were good. Ordered dessert, the caramel sauce was burnt, tasted awful. This was a birthday celebration and I FAILED in choosing this place.
What a find! Food was delicious. Choices were culturally French and well presented. Staff attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend.
Food was good. Table service was ok. Simple drinks from the bar were made wrong several times but eventually got to the right thing.
We truly enjoyed our evening, a family of five. Food was great, atmosphere was superb that evening , Christmas eve.
Staff was great, and not intrusive
Special shout out to Pat, the barman
Amazing and attentive service. Great food.
Great Christmas Eve dinner. Chicken breast was excellent and so were the cocktails.
Family holiday dinner.
Food was delicious and staff was very friendly without being intrusive.
Dinner was delicious. Have been here before with buddies for Caps and Wizards games and we seem to always make it a meat meal, but tonight was date night with my wife. The Branzino for two was great. We had a very nice time.
Always fabulous food and perfect service - love this place!
Visiting DC before Christmas with my wife. We are foodies and were not disappointed
We enjoyed our interesting and quite unique appetizers. We had a spicy Thai sausage combination. We also had roasted carrots with greens and a sumac yogurt dressing. Our mains were tasty including scallops with cauliflower and a chicken with spaetzle. We would not hesitate to order those dishes another time! The cake with blood oranges was delicious but a little small.
Being a Frech restaurant the escargot could have been better
Perhaps the best salmon dish I have ever eaten. The KALE salad was excellent as well. I would definitely go back
Daniel does not disappoint. His vision is properly passed down to his staff and they execute properly. It’s very impressive. We ordered the roast chicken for two- a nicely orchestrated service with the presentation of the chicken in a small copper pot to quick off table plating with an outstanding gravy with onion and mushrooms and more....The waiter says it is his grandmother’s recipe. They plated thigh and leg first...The sommelier really saved the day with a nice French Chablis to satisfy our need for a non-oaky Chardonnay. Nice setting and quiet.
The scallop special with blood orange sauce was exquisite.
The menu is a bit limited but everything we ordered was delicious, prepared with special touches and served attractively.
