Great service and great food. We went here for our anniversary celebration our Romanian waitress is so nice made our experience wonderful! We will definitely be back!
Amazing food beautifully prepared. It was luxurious. Service was impeccable and staff appropriately friendly. Our glasses never went empty.
We took advantage of the opportunity to dine at DBGB for the first time during Restaurant week, on Sunday 8/18.
We are so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the corn soup and tomato salad, the branzino(so well cooked), and our dessert was the key lime sundae. The ambiance of the place is very nice. The music added to the ambiance (top soul tunes from the past we LOVED). Ordered cocktails that were well made by a very friendly bartender ( husband's "high noon" and my "DB Cosmo"). What a lovely dinner experience. WE WILL RETURN!!
Came here for restaurant week and was not disappointed!
This review is for brunch. We were a group of 8 and all ordered different items on the menu, everything was great, the service even better. Highly recommend the egg Florentine. Will definitely return.
Food is consistently good and so is the service. We've been there several times.
What a treat!! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to DBGB DC. This was our first time—definitely not our last. Thank you!!
Everything very good (apart from the beer menu)
We had noon reservations for 6 and arrived right at noon and were seated immediately. We ordered at around 12:10 and received our food nearly an hour later. At no time were we approached with an explanation. Once, at around 12:40, then again at 1:00 we asked how much longer it would be before our meals were ready and we’re told both times that the kitchen was backed up and it would be right out.
A “medium rare” steak was served well done. A “medium well” burger was served rare. The “mixed greens” that were to accompany the steak was a charred half head of lettuce. The rest of the food was delicious (rock fish, salmon, a couple other dishes that needed to be wolfed down since we hadn’t planned on a 2-hour lunch). The kombucha was delicious.
Desserts that were ordered at the same time as our meals took another 20 minutes. The manager delivered the check when we asked for it and told us the kitchen was overwhelmed that day and gave me a 15% off coupon to be used in the next 30 days. $240 for 6 people and 2 hours later...Hard pass.
Our office building is across the street and this was the first and last time we’ll have lunch there.
We dined on a Restaurant Week menu. My companions had a lovely cold corn soup, I had the farro salad, also delicious. My branzino was perfectly cooked, with a crispy skin, and moist flesh. The little apricot tarts were delightful and my husband got the key lime pie-raspberry dessert was even better!
Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a high-end, perfectly cooked French food.
We’ve dined here on several occasions and have never been disappointed in the least. The staff pay special attention to your needs and requests. They do everything well.
This place is way overpriced for mediocre food. I ordered the burger and it was meh. I ordered it medium and received a burger that was well done. The burger was also $22 before tax and tip. There’s a reason this place gets bad reviews on yelp. Never going again.
The food was excellent and the server very good and friendly. We felt a little hurried as they brought the main course before we were finished with our first courses.
Enjoyed our Restaurant Week dinner there - all 3 courses were delicious. Service was great from the host to the server to the sommelier. Highly recommend!
Went for restaurant week. It was amazing. I had the Bronzino. Best ever!
Perhaps because I was dining alone, DBGB tried to seat me in the bar altho there was plenty of space in both the main and secondary dining rooms. I had the salmon mousse (somewhat bland), branzino, and ice cream from the Restaurant Week menu - all generous servings, nicely presented.
Since I'm a light eater, just a little too rich. A nice treat in a pretty setting.
All round good experience
Iva was such a spectacular waitress. She made sure that our Wedding Anniversary was spectacular. She’s the best!!! The food was amazing and the white cosmo cocktail was my absolute favorite. Excellent restaurant!!!
Jack was our initial server and he provided attentive service, cognizant of our allergies and the food was timely coming out. However, he left to go home with no notice and the new server Iva came through without an introduction until we asked. Our party was essentially rushed because she stated how much she "needed to get home," brought our check and to-go boxes prematurely, and checked 3 times within five minutes whether we had signed or not before we began eating our dessert. We don't appreciate being rushed, and at the price point of the menu & restaurant location there are far more desirable eateries that will provide stellar service otherwise.
Very enjoyable. Nice place food was very good.
The food was very good, but the truly impressive part of our meal was the service. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The courses were perfectly timed. The moment we needed anything, someone appeared to offer it to us, but I never had the sensation of being watched. I will definitely be back.
Very happy with everything! Staff are nice. Food quality and taste are exactly what we expected it to be. Will visit again for sure.
Our party had an amazing dinner and a wonderful evening at DBGB. We all ended up having fish, which is one of my favorites, and several people mentioned it was the best fish they’ve had in quite a long time. The staff was very friendly and professional and gave us suggestions when asked. Never did we feel rushed during the evening. Everything was so delicious and we had a wonderful evening. The place is located at City Center so afterwards we walked around for a bit. I highly recommend DBGB, whether it just be an evening out or a special occasion as you won’t be disappointed.
Went for brunch. Delicious food and wonderful service. I particularly appreciated that it was not crowded and I could actually converse with my dining companions at a normal level.
The food was delicious and very fair priced. The drinks were great too.
Not the best Affogato I've had, but otherwise, a terrific meal!
Terrific food and service. Sophisticated and relaxed at the same time. We will be back.
Our experience at DBGB was amazing. The food was delicious and the customer service was top notch.
It has been my favorite place for dessert for years but suddenly their best (souffle) is no longer on the menu. Also the profiteroles were out
Good but not up to the standards we have come to rely on from D.B. We go to Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach often and this did not compare.
Excellent meal highly recommended. Great food we particularly liked the chicken and the steak frites. Service was excellent. Very nice wine selection served in a beautiful restaurant. Will definitely return
Was really looking forward to this…
We discussed three failures with the manager regarding our meal, he did make adjustments on our dining tab.
HOWEVER, I would say these were major faux pas (mistakes) which should not have happened at a restaurant of this reputation.
* Heirloom Tomato Salad served with very over-ripe tomatoes, mushy, unpleasant. We sent it back.
* A wonderful appetizer of homemade Thai Sausage and Green Papaya Salad was accompanied by truly greasy fried rice. Not good.
* An over cooked Chicken Breast entree, dried out - but by then it was let’s just eat that and cut our losses and get out of there.
Hopefully the kitchen was advised to up their game. The restaurant wasn’t so overwhelmed, these errors should not have slipped by…
Went to lunch with a friend. My crabcake hit the spot - I've had better, but this one was quite good! And my friend thoroughly enjoyed the lobster roll with generous portions of lobster.
Great food and cocktails! Friendly wait staff and great location. Not unusual for the restaurant scene these days, it's noisy. A little tough to have a conversation at times. But it's still one of my top favorites in DC.
Super delicious! Fabulous fries. Beautiful dessert.
Very good brunch and very good service
Outstanding Kitchen. Entrees make what seem like ordinary dishes unique and delicious.
Service was reficulously slow as there were only two tables with customers. All orders were delivered late and to the wrong person. The wrong check was presented
We had a big group (2 tables with a total of 14 people) - the staff did an amazing job. Brunch was delicious! Highly recommended...
