Great food, great drink and had a great time! Highly recommend !
De Jour is a lovely little place in Macc to enjoy a tasty meal in a nice, relaxed environment. Service was excellent, food was lovely, and we felt it was a very safe place to be given the whole Covid situation. I would recommend it!
Great food and customer service.. Friendly staff.. Really recommended it to anyone.. Great value for money.. Support local..
Lovely staff, delicious quality food and good atmosphere
A good selection of dishes both starters and mains, very frindly service and food appeared quicklyn but not microwaved - a very pleasant evenint
We had a lovely meal at De Jour. I could give 3vstars for ambience as it was particularly quiet night due to current guidelines I think.
The service was great and the food was delicious.
Lovely meal. Only grumble was that there were only 2 tables dining on a Saturday night and the room was quite cold on arrival until the door to the outside area was closed. So ambiance was poor. However the food was fantastic! And the cheesecake the best in Macclesfield!!
Helpful owner. Good quality food, well cooked and presented.
Eggs Benedict perfect. Cheesecake the best I've ever had.
Very attentive, tasty delicious food! What more do you need, sat outside lovely little terrace (but there are steps) .
Have eaten at DeJour twice - on both occasions we sat outside in the pretty courtyard garden. Lovely atmosphere (though not so keen rock music playing - not at all loud but not my preference!!) Small but good choice of starters and mains - prawns, chicken wings, sirloin steak, risotto and lamb very good. Rob was our lovely host/waiter. Enjoyed cocktails and good wine. DeJour also well-located for access to other nice bars/eateries in Macclesfield. Thank you two very enjoyable eves.
Very average overall but could be so much better. I was really hoping this would be good, the menu is small but well thought out. However the food was average....it was just "okay" when is a restaurant like this it need to be excellent. Wine was only just cold which is just an own goal. Its not a cheap place to eat either and lacked a bit of it of atmosphere....
Very nice little restaurant in the town centre of Macclesfield, accessed via cobbly street to the right of the town hall towards Macclesfield Railway Station. The downstairs bar area is quiet and could do with more atmosphere - maybe some tables and soft furnishings to make it more appealing to passers by. The bar offers nice selection of gins + we ordered a cocktail which was excellent. The restaurant is upstairs and can seat about 25 ish people. Menu is limited but perfectly adequate, with about 6 choices of starter, main and dessert. I chose the Burrata and Butternut squash starter which was nice but the combination of cold and warm items wasn't as appealing as it sounded. My husband had the Chilli Prawns which were great as was his steak for main course. I had the Pan Roasted Cod main which was delicious. Nice bottle of red Spanish wine (complimentary due to booking for Valentines Day). For dessert we chose the Chocolate cake and Sticky Toffee pudding, both yum! We really enjoyed the meal and experience. We will definitely return soon.
The food was well cooked, well presented by very nice staff and HOT. Definitely will be going again :)
Very good food - beautifully cooked. Will be going again and recommending to others.
A really lovely meal with good food and excellent service.
We had a lovely time at De Jour. The food is lovely, as a set menu we tried things we wouldn’t usually order and it was worth it. Everything was delicious especially the cod with beurre blanc and the salted caramel chocolate tart. The staff could not have been kinder and more helpful. Can’t wait to try next months set menu. A real local gem
Great food & service with a fab relaxed atmosphere. Good for special occasions.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was very tasty and although only a small menu there was a variety of choices including vegetarian. Not oversized portions but very nicely presented
Second visit, food really good like the fact that the chef changes the menu weekly shame it’s so empty each visit we have been we have been one of only two customers in.
Always a good selection of wine, staff couldn’t have been more welcoming.
Only slight complaint the prices are ex vat which I have never come across in a restaurant before so 20% going on at the end which I feel a bit off putting may have said on the menu but I hadn’t noticed it.
Superb. A little quiet on night we went but the food was wonderful. And great value. - will be back
First visit to De Jour. Good service, good food, nice wine. Simple menu with several choices for each course. Enjoyed few G&Ts in a bar across the road called Wet Led before we dined, they had some great live music. At De Jour the ground floor bar area seemed large but not well utilised, the bar is at the back of the room - feels like it could be a nice little Gin/Wine bar (in addition to the dining) but needs some thought re seating and ambience. Would recommend for date night, groups celebrating, etc.
We went as a 3, girly catchup. Both me and Mum dont ear meat so there wasnt anything we fancied as the fish meal included chorizo. The chef came up with a very nice alternative. We also asked to move as the guy next to us was very loud, this was no trouble they just discreetly put us downstairs. The service, food and price were excellent, I recommend it highly and cant wait to go back.
Our first visit to De Jour on a very wet Wednesday evening with another couple. We really enjoyed the meal and our only criticism is that a menu with just three choices was a tad limited. Two of us had the steak and two had the cod for mains. Both dishes were excellently cooked and we would definitely return.
We were tempted by the rice pudding and fig dessert and were given the option of having it cold or warm. One person had it cold and two of us had it warm. Very nice.
The upper room is nicely set out and spacious and there is a lovely view over Waters Green to St Paul's Church through the upper storey window. Music was slightly loud but good music and did not drown out our conversation.
Poor food choice and quality.
Disappointing in a French restaurant.. only choice one prosecco or one champagne!
Amazing food service and beautiful setting! Also outside seating area for the nice weather. Lovely staff and great ambiance see you soon. Michelin star on its way soon.
Amazing food. Excited to try the next menu! Definitely recommend.
The starters were fine, the main courses were starter sizes for main course prices. We had been told that it was poor choice and poor value for money but wanted to check it out for ourselves. We will not be returning.
Quality food in a stylish environment. It was rather quiet due to half term.
