De Koffie Pot & The Left Bank
DKP at The Left Bank Village is a much-loved dog-friendly coffee house overlooking the river Wye. It is set midway between Hereford's two finest tourist attractions, namely Hereford Cathedral and the Medieval Wye Bridge. A café by day and a pub by night serving extra special food , local ciders and ales. with lots of emphasis on local, organic, vegan, and vegetarian. The perfect pit stop; take a break here for a "damn fine cup of coffee", courtesy of James' Gourmet Coffee or one of our locally blended delicate teas. Watch the swans go by from the riverside courtyard while enjoying a real ale or local cider. DKP is a cafe where you can happily work, learn, munch or socialise and listen to live music.
De Koffie Pot is part of Left Bank Village and as such all seating is available outside on all three terraces of the main building as well as the Courtyard space.
Having booked a table to catch up with friends for 7.30 was extremely disappointed to discover once we'd ordered drinks that the food had been withdrawn. Not advised as we arrived and to add insult, food was delivered to next table as we had our drinks.
Only slight recompense was having the cost of drinks refunded.
Had to wait 90 minutes after ordering before we had our meal. Complained and not offered any recompense. Only after Kit, the bar manager, felt we had received poor service, were we offered a complimentary drink. He is most definitely an asset to the company.
I regularly eat and spend time with friends here. On Wednesday I waited 1hour 20mins for my food, my friend had eaten hers by the time mine came out when I spoke to the senior on they said there was nothing they could give me it was because everyone ordered on the app at the same time. Other than this the ambiance and environment was lovely
Our table overlooked the terrace with a view of the old bridge and the river. The position had a sunny aspect and the background music was pleasant and lively. Our food was of the expected good standard and plentiful.
Excellent venue lovely evening just a shame about the drunkard!! But not the venue’s fault!
I love this place obviously in these strange times its a bit odd because its not your usual experience but as far a safety and social distancing they're on the ball big time .
Excellent social distancing arrangements, easy to follow. Lovely friendly staff. Food good, and a lovely pot of tea.
Beautiful food and nice wine
Beautiful location, friendly staff, great beers, good food.
Best pub in Hereford
Really well priced, friendly team, you will need to really wrap up outside and Covid set up really well managed.
De Koffie pot is our favourite place to visit when we stay in Hereford. The food is always excellent with our grandchildren thoroughly enjoying the pizzas!
We have visited 3 times over the last 8 weeks and have felt safe during the COVID situation , the whole experience has made us feel comfortable not only for us but the Koffie Pot are keeping their colleagues safe, whilst giving the customer exceptional service standards!
The open table app is easy to use for booking and once inside the ordering app is easy to use as well !
The whole experience makes you feel relaxed whether sitting inside or out!
We love the chicken Piri Piri strips and the sweet potato fries are delicious, all portions are generous, and made even better by the reductions in price Monday to Thursday!
Awful service, rude staff, did sort of apologise after we had eaten and tried to use excuse of being rushed off feet - not busy at all in there. Having to wait ages for cutlery, missing drinks, not being told it’s your food/drink that has been dumped on the random table for you to collect due to Covid restrictions. Avoid.
Had to concede defeat with ordering on mobile and waitress took our order - got order ok on mobile but wouldn’t accept payment. A bit noisy inside but otherwise fine. 50% offer made it excellent value!
Boho place, great inside and out. Covid
and dog friendly. Lovely food and great background music! Great for lunch or dinner!
Met a friend first time si ce this worrying world we live in and our experience at your establishment was amazing and we felt safe. Thankyou
We didn’t have anyone check that our food was okay. There wasn’t staff coming upstairs often so we had to wait so we could get a takeaway box for our leftovers.
Glass was covered in lipstick. When complained just swapped to a half pint instead of a pint?!
I love the koffee pot but always find it quite slow
I really don’t enjoy the ordering on the phone system it is stressful for groups and if you make an error it is really difficult to correct
Great food and good to have 50% off!!
Outside seating is well spaced and they have a fire pit. Menu is good. I've had the falafel and the soup, both excellent. The service is fast and all the staff are smiley and very helpful. Covid-ordering is via their QR app and can be a bit cumbersome since they cover all the variations and choices of sauces etc. But I appreciate that they are keeping contact as minimal as possible. There is a really good atmosphere. Currently they are running a half price deal at certain times, which makes it ridiculously reasonable.
Love DKP and Left Bank, excellent food and service and feel super safe in these uncertain times with regards to Covid 19. Thanks so much for a fantastic evening
Every table and seat has great ambience... And is safe. The service is really friendly and quick.
It was fab! Definitely recommend with family and friends. Great you can also take dogs!
Excellent service yet again! Great for socially distancing and meeting friends. Great food. Ease of ordering too.
V efficient & friendly service. Delicious food. Thank you Xx
Safe environment. Easy to order and friendly staff
Lovely location, helpful staff, food has gotten better generally: better variety and reasonable portions, prices made better by the 50% off mains. Cake portions have shrunk noticably, thus less stars.
Great value and ease of ordering using their app
Booked again already
Went for coffee and cake, told by a staff member cake was unavailable even though we could see it. Then after we had ordered sides (and waited 35-50 mins by the time each of them same out) the table next to us asked for cake, and we’re given it! As you can imagine we were a little frustrated considering that was the main point of our visit.
The menu gave plenty of choice and the food was presented well especially given the amazing value.
Difficult to order and pay online.
Had to ask twice for tap water.
Happily surprised to see still doing 50% offer,
My companion had the fish and chips, and would have liked
a larger piece of fish.
Didn't like the music, intrusive
Given that de koffie pot was offering 50% off mains and sides I expected it to be very busy. Staff weren't particularly friendly or welcoming. Food seemed to take a long time to arrive and the pitta bread from my order was dry. Overall a mediocre experience which is a shame as I know the venue's struggled this year.
I asked for a children’s menu as stated on the website and I was told they do not have a children’s menu and I could order her chips! Although I allow my daughter to eat chips from time to time it would be nice to have a better choice especially as it stated they had a children’s menu. I thought I may have got it wrong but I then looked at the menu which was on the serving table and it states at the bottom *please ask for a children’s menu. This was extremely frustrating as I had to feed a 5 year old! I managed to order her a jacket potato with salad. (When it arrived the salad was covered in seeds and dressing. It doesn’t state the salad is covered in seeds and dressing on the menu so I had to ask for another salad with no seeds and dressing so bear this in mind) However overall we were happy with the food and the atmosphere.
Nice to hear some live music, super atmosphere, service was a bit slow at times but that’s understandable with the amount of people there.
Been here for drinks loads of times, love the atmosphere, cosy with the fire pits. Food was amazing big portions very good value, All very fresh. Service quick and staff seemed very helpful. COVID restrictions implemented very well.
Absolutely lovely place to eat and drink by the river outstanding
Had a ploughmans was lovely and lots of different things on the plate, pickle colsaw, lovely side salad warm rolls three large pieces of cheese will have again and extra bowl of chips
Food was awful. Not once we’re we asked if food was ok. Bar staff seemed to like to have a chat behind the bar than give any customer service. So r return
Good food, not a lot of interaction because of Covid but enjoyable lunch
Never been before but, since they were offering half price on meals Mon - Thursday we though we'd give it a try. We will be back - the food was good, the staff were friendly and Covid directions were being followed. It was a bit chilly so we will get an inside table next time.
