Ordered a cocktail as soon as we sat down and it took 45 mins to turn up!! Our food arrived before it and we had to ask 3 members of staff where it was before it turned up!
Mixing of bubbles and social distancing was not well managed. Disappointing visit
Cold food, nobody came to check if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Nobody told us that we would need to order at our table on our phones.
Quick booking in service, shown to table all straightforward to order online and food was delivered very quickly. Food was very enjoyable, had never been before but will definitely be returning!!!
Absolutely wonderful place, the staff were brilliant and friendly.
The food options are good, but the quality is slightly lacking.
Brilliant experience, and I will definitely be back.
Few issues with ordering drinks online, payments being taken but orders not being received.
Also had an issue with one drink, was a completely different colour and flat.
But besides that, a very enjoyable night.
After visiting this venue a few times and always giving the benefit of the doubt for delayed drinks etc, I will not be visiting again! Social distancing didn’t seem to exist anymore... the food is over priced and not even warm when it comes to you! The staff (especially the security) are rude and not very helpful. They are making a killing of a profit at the moment but once all pubs/restaurants open properly the Koffee Pot will soon be forgotten about due to the lack of a good service.
Good atmosphere. A little slow on table service at times. Overall good.
Sat by a heater, lovely views and great dirty fries yummy!
I was not impressed with the Over crowding of the lady’s toilets. No social distance at all people just didn’t care
Great atmosphere, well organised, safe and enjoyable. Couldn’t really ask for more during these difficult times, recommended if you can actually book in
The fish and chips was lovely and service much quicker than expected. Unfortunately we were given the worst table in the place which spoiled the whole experience. I completely understand why they have packed in as many tables as possible but this was a step too far (table 200).
What a beautiful place to sit and soak in the views of the river and meadows!! Love it here ! Xx
Nice food but needs little bit of salt. Unfortunately I didn't get even fork for my plate (dirty fries - how can I eat this without fork?!).
We came for lunch. Unfortunately the system randomly assigns your table, balcony level etc. The welcome at the door was confusing and a bit intimidating for a Sunday lunchtime with 5 staff members standing round, I found the directions to table super confusing... go through the door there, she pointers, what door, the door there look, I can see steps yeah the door next to the steps, nope I see steps a marquee a plant....it could be simpler with straight forward friendly direction or one of the 5 saying follow me.. We were sent up a filthy fire escape about 4 flights, to a top terrace which was daft when the place was half empty, someone’s dog went nuts barking and growling and leaping as we passed in a narrow walkway and scared the living crap out of us. Maybe dogs could be kept ground floor? The balcony had very dry rosemary and lavender plants that need watering and these were blocking the view of the river. The trip to the loo means going back down the disgusting fire escape then up different stairs again... all food and drinks also have to be ferried this way meaning it’s a narrow and busy thoroughfare with no one way system. We were in shade, the people next to us in full sun, each wanting the other and we weren’t allowed to swap. Tacky signs up taped to the balcony aggressively announcing that if you move you will lose your food at your own expense. However, The service was super fast by really busy and friendly staff, the food was absolutely delicious and generous portions, the table cleaning routine was impressive and the app easy to follow. The door greeting staff ignore you as you are leaving which is weird. Surely they could thank you and note which table is now empty? It’s a nice place but struggling to maintain its difference between it’s day and night vibes when operating at scale, when you don’t go out often it’s a massive treat and the little things stick out. I guess younger clients probably wouldn’t even notice these things. We will go again.
We had a lovely lunch - quiche and salad with chips!
Booking was easy and tables were automatically allocated - the system seemed to allocate adjacent tables to new arrivals rather than space everyone out - perhaps the software needs updating?
We sat at 306 and had a lovely view - thank you
Way too expensive
Really great vibe, great food and drinks. Thoroughly enjoyable.
One down side is there aren’t any heaters near the benches by the river so it does get cold later on in the evening - nothing a good coat won’t fix though. Just as long as you remember one!
As we found last year the ordering process is longwinded and confusing.
We ask for glasses of tap water during the ordering process but they did not appear.
We were seated on the balcony outside the Charles Bar which was very pleasant but did not have the ambience of the courtyard.
I must say we are grateful that you are open and that you can seat so many people outside safely. So thank you.
Nice lunch service was quick and staff were very good
An enjoyable Saturday afternoon with friends. A little disappointed that the drink prices are so high.
Fantastic atmosphere, great service. Limited food menu but food of a high standard and very busy so understand the need for a limited menu.
Only one of us could get the menu to appear on mobile, so he ended having to pay for everyone. Certainly discouraged us from ordering a second round of coffees. Unlikely to return or to recommend until situation returns to normal. Pity.
Lovey relaxed evening. We ordered 3 drinks each at a time so there was no delay with the drinks arriving . Service was very good.
Booked a table for 6.30 and was sat by the fire, was lovely atmosphere and the food was lovely
Had a great night. The service was prompt and the servers very polite and helpful. The staff made us feel welcome and when it started to rain were more than agreeable for us to move to another table.
Lovely atmosphere good with social distances, easy to order however the nachos I ordered were disgusting not using the correct cheese so it’s like cardboard when it arrives and is totally over priced
Very poor, refused to refund our friend who ordered a drink. Because they sent it to the wrong table. Thankyou to the door staff who sorted out for us !
Very port service!
I’ve been many times to De Koffie Pot because the ambience is fantastic, but I’ve always been somewhat disappointed with the food. We sent a plate of dirty fries back because some of the toppings were very burnt and the cheese was solidified, and we were denied a refund. The head chef came out to tell us that we’re the only people to have ever sent back a plate of dirty fries and they don’t do refunds. So next time we go we can order a plate of dirty fries “on the house”.
Pretty unremarkable- the place itself is very nice but the food is average.
The food was cold when it arrived and it took up to 10 minutes to receive the rest of our order. Very slow service, you want all your food at the same time not in intervals.
Excellent views and drinks. Terrible slow service and hour plus for food served on cold plates on a quiet thurs evening. Been few times now and nothing changes won’t be going again for food that’s for sure. Amazing fire pits, slightly over priced for what it is. Staff are lacking concentration and pairs of ears, we have asked for few things and zero was done.
Having read some of the recent less than favourable reviews I was undecided whether to book De Koffie Pot but due to the lack of outdoor venues at present in Hereford I went ahead. My friends and I were very pleased with the set-up and organisation. The food arrived promptly and the staff were very polite and obliging. We arrived at 5.30pm and left at 8.00pm, and it had become rather noisy and we had to speak quite loudly but maybe that's an age thing!
Waiting staff not very talkative or friendly! It’s the position thamakes it
We were looking forward to cocktails as it was a special occasion but when we got there we were told that they don’t serve cocktails on Wednesdays which was very disappointing!
Great to sit outside under cover especially as raining. Had problems with ordering food and drink but staff sorted it.
Happy with everything. Nice greeting and choice of greeting.
Service was quick and food was tasty.
Absolutely great service and lovely atmosphere. We will be back.
Lovely location for a drink in the sun 🌞 Welcoming and hospitable.
Always a lovely place to visit and lovely setting together with excellent staff.
Food is very good and just a fantastic setting and relaxing with a great atmosphere.
A nice afternoon spoilt by what must be the very worst "on line" drinks and food ordering experience.
