I love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Wings were great as usual. Fish and chips was a huge portion. Burger was medium instead of the requested medium well, but tasty. Lobster bisque was average. We had 4 people in a rather cramped booth but it was okay. Service was well-timed and friendly, the meal was affordable.
Wonderful experience, fantastic food and great service. Will be going back again soon.
We had so much fun at Deer Park! Excellent food and drinks, and the staff was attentive and kind.
We sat outside, they have a nice deck. There was noisy music blasting. The buffalo wings were a bit dry. The waitress was very nice and attentive.
Overall it was a great casual dinning experience.
We asked to sit inside in our reservation. We were brought to a table. The host said we had to sit outside because there were not enough chairs. We asked if we could bring an outside chair in, they said no. We sat outside. Three seconds later they brought an outside chair inside to the same exact table for a different party. Really annoying. And then our service sucked.
Food was amazing!! I had the blackened salmon blt. So good! Food was fast.
Delicious Cobb salads and chicken cheesesteak. We sat outside, which was nice, but the street noise was loud, which was not the fault of the restaurant.
Great burgers and cold beer! Great menu selection. Went on a Thursday and it was burger Thursday $5 off. Great deal.
Pass this place by if you want a good value, good food and great service.
The only thing going for this place anymore is the atmosphere.
Dont waste your money
My husband and I frequently eat here for brunch on Sundays and today was the first day I was disappointed in the service and the food. My food came and had a puddle of oil on the plate and my husbands english muffins were like a hockey puck. He muscled through his but I had to send mine back. I ended up having to get the attention of a server that was not ours because our server didn't come back to check on us until after my husband was done his food. At that point I had just started mine. When we asked for the check we ended up waiting 15 minutes for her to come back to get it so we could pay and leave. My husband was on his way inside with the check to pay when she finally came back.
We’ve always loved Deer Park and are there often. After the quarantine we w been twice and are disappointed by the cost. It seems much more expensive than before. We’re going to have to find another go to lunch spot.
Drinks and dinner was great the margaritas were awesome nice deck area to enjoy
Great local bar and eatery in an historic building. First time there since February, new outdoor seating in addition to what they always had. 85 and not too humid. Waiter was great which is usually the case. It was $5 off burgers Tuesday which we had and they were quite good.
Best crab cakes ever! Please, with the need for outside dining, Fix the fans on upstairs porch.
The service was very good. My Brother is hard to please. He said "This was a good pick.
Favorite place on campus. The food and drink combo is unmatched
Love Deer Park! Prices went up too high. Sat outside by train track and it was ridiculously loud.
Good service and good food.
We booked a table for brunch and were told when we arrived that the kitchen was closing in 7 minutes. We said we’d order quickly and were seated. The waitress never came to take our order. Instead, she chatted with a table of college kids instead. Why they took the reservation and seated us is a mystery. We won’t be back.
We waited a very long time for our food. Omelette overcooked and yet it was cold. Bagel and bacon under cooked and cold. Pancakes were overcooked. Not very good. The coffee was cold. Asked for a spoon to stir coffee. Was offered a straw instead. The server was not very attentive. We weren’t offered condiments - salt, pepper, butter, etc. until we asked for them. Overall very weird experience for a place where we’ve eaten a good brunch many times before. I realize they’re just getting back to in-house serving because of COVID-19, but the food and the experience this time was a huge disappointment. And speaking of COVID-19, the restaurant should have been a lot cleaner considering they had just re-opened - it should have been fully sanitized (yeah I know it’s the Deer Park but still...), and as we parked some guy came out of the kitchen area wearing a mask, which he proceeded to pull down and start smoking. Won’t be back anytime soon.
Very enjoyable date night! Had a pleasant experience and service and food were great!
It was nice to eat out on the porch. There were many choices on the menu. Our server was attentive and pleasant. I will definitely go back.
This was our first dining out experience with the Covid restrictions lifted, so we were uncertain about how to handle it. The staff put us at ease. We opted for outdoor seating which we normally wouldn't. We were on the second floor balcony, facing the street with somewhat loud traffic going by. The food was promptly served, well plated and quite good, as Deer Park always is. Our waiter was excellent, running up and down every time we remembered something else we had forgotten.
The food and drinks were delicious and our server Brandt was great!
We are not sure how often they wipe down the tables to prevent the virus?
waitstaff was not good. We had no spoons for coffee/tea and had to ask and then wait a long time. Food was slow to come out. Water for the tea was tepid. I had to ask for hot water. Plates were not cleared. I saw the waitress taking care of other tables but not ours. I had my sisters and my mom and a family friend and we were sitting for at least 15 minutes with dishes piled everywhere. I had to leave the table and ask her to come over. She cleared TWO of the 5 places and never came back. I had to ask a second staff member to help me. And we had a reservation! Not ok.
Great Sunday brunch and Bloody Mary bar!
We had a family member who uses a walker with us. We were seated at a table near the door, which was very helpful. The host was tactful and kind.
Our waiter did a fantastic job—friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food and drinks were delicious.
Our server Kelly was outstanding. The food however was mediocre Mahi tacos very bland, they were served with NO salsa or avocado as stated in the menu. My wife had the shrimp risotto. Risotto was not creamy at all
Our waitress wait great, she was doing the best should could. The hostess (another waitress) was low energy and rude (there were 5 of us, she gave us 8 menu's and at least 12 sets of silverware because she couldn't be bothered to count.....) The kitchen was very slow. Food was decent, drinks were cheap. So it was "ok". Also the tables are VERY small.
Always a great place to eat! I had the tuna sashimi salad and, as a sushi-lover, I would rate it as excellent! I love the ambiance and the staff is friendly and efficient. Both lunch and dinner is superb!
Great waitstaff, and plentiful food - not gourmet but a solid brunch and a fun atmosphere
Good brunch near UD!!
Historic tavern setting. Food was tasty, and great prices for basic rail drinks. The tables and chairs were a bit wobbly...really is an easy fix that should be tended to. The waitress was attentive and responsive. Food was slow to come out, but was a busy weekend for the town. We will try the restuarant again.
Waitress was very accommodating with special requests and answering questions. Food and bill were brought quickly even though it was a busy friday night. Tuna sashimi and salads are very good here, and free popcorn is a favorite.
$4 Bloody Mary bar is always a good way to start a Saturday. The omelettes were delicious. My husband had the Fajita omelette and I had the mushroom and cheese omelette. They were both cooked perfectly and came with a choice of toast and Tater Tots!
Just wondering why after using OT to reserve a table I was not awarded points. What's up with that? Our experience at Deerpark was very good, always a go to restaurant for us!
Had the roast beef sandwich and the jambalaya. The beef in the sandwich was very good, but the slice of unmelted cheese sitting on top was beyond tacky and I just took it off. Instead of fries, I opted for the baked beans. They came out in one of those little condiment cups - and it was only half full. Please - they were baked beans - what a disappointment. The jambalaya was good, but once again - didn't get much especially considering the price. The food was just way overpriced. The service was acceptable. The décor needs an update. Yes, it's an old building, but the tables still need a refresh - all worn out.
Great place to grab drinks and burgers while on campus at UDel.
Great service. Waiter was very attentive.
