Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - DC
Food great . Service worse than usual . Am a member of their rewards program. The worst service continually of all their restaurants. Don’t go unless you want to waster several hours
We went with a party of 6 for Restaurant Week. Dinner was delicious and the RW menu was an excellent value. I believe service was slightly compromised because it was extremely busy, but we enjoyed our meal. Everything would have been perfect but our server overcharged us $50 for something we did not order.
Great location for a special occasion. Food and service are amazing!
Good place to take anyone to have a great dinner in a nice place.
Great food. Slow service. Restaurant week though, so the kitchen/servers may have been overwhelmed? It took 25 minutes to get our deserts.
Usually, I love Del Frisco’s Double Eagle, tonight the service was under par. There were considerable delays between each course. We waited to receive our check, pick up and return our credit cards. Our waiter did not seem to notice the lag, if so he didn’t explain or apologize. We spoke with the floor manager Kevin, who apologized profusely and offered dessert. Our party only wanted to leave.
It was a special occasion, my daughter’s birthday, but this it was not the experience that I had expected. She enjoyed her meal, but our dinner dragged on for over two hours, because of the long delays. So instead of enjoying the meal, we just wanted it to be over.
However, the quality of the meal was excellent; the filets were skillfully prepared, medium rare as requested and the Béarnaise sauce was delicious. The Foie Gras was amazing . The strawberry balsamic glaze perfectly complemented the buttery, intense flavor of the Foie Gras.
Went for restaurant week. Made reservations but got sat 30 mins after we arrived at our designated time. Service thereafter was fair. Food was the best part, prepared well. Overall, it was a practice in patience with the service and welcome but the food made up for it.
As always, the experience was top notch here. Due to restaurant week I expanded my order and tried the 45 day aged prime rib. It was cooked perfectly to my liking and lovely marbling. Definitely recommend it if you want to try something different
As always, another great experience here!
Food was excellent
First time visitor...went for Restaurant Week. I’m glad they had decent options. The main menu looks great and I will probably visit again and pay regular prices...ha! The only downside is that the cocktails are overpriced, but that seems to be standard in DC.
As always a great experience, our server Ieshia is always awesome. Can't wait to go back again.
As always nothing short of A+. The staff was excellent. Titus was awesome, he knew the menu inside an out and provided wonderful wine selections to accompany dinner.
On point and perfect as usual
This was my favorite restaurant. The steak was horrible!
Our waiter was great. Very knowledgeable about food items
Not only was everything as good as expected (all excellent) we were there during Restaurant Week and got a really good deal on our meals. Win - Win!
We visited a couple months ago and decided to return for our anniversary. Fernando provided excellent service; he was attentive and friendly. We might make this an annual visit.
Celebrated my wife's birthday with succulent scallops and the perfect bottle of sweet red to her taste!
Great service and amazing food.
I took my wife here for her Birthday at lunchtime yesterday, from the time we arrived till the time we left our experience was Great!! Starting with the hostess Ashauntè she was warm and kind very attentive to us. As was our waiter, Miguel he always made sure we were Happy, even getting every crumb off our table cloth. And then there was Mac the manager, he personally made me another drink to make sure I liked it. Yes, it's Expensive, but well worth it for a once or twice a year Special Occasion. Thanks again, Everyone for a Great time. Fish and Wendy.
From start to finish it was the perfect dining experience. Service was impeccable, food was fantastic, drinks were perfect. It was my wife’s birthday and it was appropriately acknowledged and then two wonderful desserts were selected for us and the lemon cake and yellow cake with pecan ice cream was delectable.
This is now on my list of places to go to enjoy a wonderful evening. Nice job.
Always love dining a Del Friscos. Titus our server was also great and attentive!
The service and hospitality from start to finish was impeccable and professional. The food was delicious and the ambience was relaxing. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to check out Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Washington DC.
Worked with Fatima and Steve. Great people and enjoyed my time.
It was very nice, the chemistry and vibe and atmosphere
Pretty disappointed with our experience at Del Frisco’s. This is the first time dining here, as we typically go to Ruth’s Chris, which is currently closed in DC as it moves to a new location. The bone-in filet was quite good, but the service and overall menu was a disappointment. Ruth’s Chris has a much more diverse menu of sides and appetizers. The crab cake appetizer did not contain jumbo lump crab meat, as one would expect at this level of establishment. Same goes for the lobster bisque - not bad, but limited quantities of lobster.
My waiter and the main manager was great and the food was amazing as well! I just so happen to unfortunately encounter an unprofessional manager that was rude and unaccommodating.
pricey but an excellent restaurant for celebrating your birthday
We had an amazing waiter, food was excellent, and we had a great lunch overall!
Complete waste of a lot of money. There’s absolutely zero ambience at this restaurant. They were going to see us next to the serving station for the water. There is more ambience at Denny’s. The waiter is not well trained and does not show well for the brand. You basically could go anywhere else and have a nicer meal out in this place.
At $195/pp for a pre fixe menu on NYE, we expected a lot more. While the food was excellent, as always at Del Frisco's, the service sucked. We were seated at a table for four. The waiter came over and took away the glasses but not the silverware or placemats. So we sat for a while on one side of the table until I finally cleared the table of the other two settings myself and we were able to spread out a bit.
At 5 minutes to midnight, no one was around despite the fact that we had told our waiter that we wanted two glasses of champagne to toast in the new year. Literally, one minute before midnight, he came running into the dining room with four glasses of champange--two for us which he awkwardly handed to us and two for the table behind us. At about 12:10, the hostess came through the restaurant sheepishly holding noisemakers and hats and never distributed any of them! Seriously? Was it a surprise that we were ringing in a new decade? OMG! So frustrating.
And finally, I ordered coffee, waited and waited, and had to remind the waiter two more times that I had ordered it. I finally got it, but really?
Oh, and by the way, the TV above us was on tuned in on Fox, so we literally had to watch Steve Harvey count down the new year.
Great experience as always.
The restaurant was empty and the steaks took 50 minutes to come out and the waiter did nothing to manage our expectations
The food, service and ambiance is just Superb!!!
We chose Del Frisco’s for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration and were really looking forward to an amazing dining experience. I would love to have said it was incredible but it wasn’t. Our waiter seemed very distracted and didn’t deliver the level of service that we expected for this tier of steakhouse. We were hoping the food would make up for it. The Chilean Sea Bass was a large portion and very good. What we found unusual was that the ribeye was really over salted. It was over the top salted. We also ordered the brussel sprouts side which was good but again very salty. The lobster Mac and cheese was quite good though.
My Daughter and I had to go to Del Friscos here in DC. We were not disappointed. Class and quality from the moment we walked in. The bar downstairs is really swanky and the one upstairs more subdued. We were seated quickly at a nice table with a view of City Center. Rock was our server and he was excellent! We both had the 8oz Filet which was done to perfection and Del’s salad is really good. Can’t recommend enough.
Only the potter house steak was nice. That's it.
