Delicious food with a variety of authentic cuisine.
I went to Delhi Accent with my husband and our kids. The restaurant was very accommodating and had a great vibe. It is kid-friendly and perfect for families. We ordered Palak Chaat for one of the apps and it was absolutely delicious, crunchy and tangy! We also called ahead to reserve the Lamb Rack biryani and I am so glad we did! It was so flavorful and was a decent portion. Even the kids enjoyed it! We will definitely be coming back to Delhi Accent soon.
Delhi Accent is a great choice for people who want the NYC quality but don’t want to go to the city. The food service is excellent.
We were five of us and had a great time. Thanks.
Food and service are good, but
1) They charge 20% service charge irrespective of how many guests ate. Over and above that 20%, they expect tip as evident from the receipt they bring for signing.
2) The kitchen is slow, miss to bring all ordered items together. The missing item arrives when reminded and only when you finished eating.
3) Veg item offerings are fewer than other Indian restaurants.
The restaurant is quite dark and difficult to see the menu. Some guests were using bright cell phone lights to view the menu. The food was delicious! Service-wise we could have used more rice. We received one small bowl to share amongst 4 of us. We had to ask for more and we were given just one small bowl like we had previously. When time to leave, two if us wanted to pack our dinners and split the rice and our spinach appetizer. I opened it the next day and I had not been given ANY rice with my saucy, spicy dish. I was given all of the appetizer. My friend received ALL of the rice. I would suggest they give each individual their own rice. It has to be the most inexpensive item they serve. Aside from that it was delicious. I blame the person packing up for us.
Creative offerings in an inviting environment.
Bergen county rejoice! We now have an extraordinarily good Indian restaurant close by without having to travel to New York. Every bite of every dish ordered at our table was delicious. The menu is interesting, a giant step above other Indian restaurants in the area. The spinach chaat appetizer we shared was excellent; crunchy and substantial, having a comfort food quality about it. My tandoori chicken (a rather ordinary choice considering what other dishes were available) was truly the best I have ever had, tender and tasty. My friend’s goat dish was also wonderfully tender and rich in flavor. The selection of breads is extensive, many being whole wheat. The service is attentive and personable. I cannot say enough about what a special place this restaurant is. It is worth putting up with Ridgewood’s problematic parking situation to eat here.
FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD, AMBIANCE IS LOVELY, YOU CAN TALK AT DINNER,NOT TOO NOISY, WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK. BE SURE TO EXPLAIN YOUR SPICE/HEAT PREFERENCE, WHAT THEY THINK IS NOT SPICY, MIGHT BE TO YOU.
Great food and fantastic service. We've been to all the Indian restaurants in the area and this is definitely one of the best. The portions are larger than usual.
Fabulous food and wonderful atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
This place is great. The service, food, decor all exceeded my expectations.
Definitely trying to be something it’s not. The service was nice, but seems a little disorganized maybe due to it just opening. The place was clean and had a nice decor. Now I can see they are trying to do something different, but are legit ripping exact recipes from other established new Indian restaurants in the tri state! Legit stealing ideas and others creativity. It’s not original and you can tell. The food was ok nothing was outstanding.
Some good innovative dishes and a god ambiance . Definitely a great addition to town dining !
Very nice space and good food.
Excellent food. Our waiter, Abhi, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back.
The elevated price due to the location in Ridgewood doesn't merit the food. The staff was very harried and inexperienced. They tried their best but it was frustrating. The manager is lovely and tries very hard to please. The food was fair to middling. There are other Indian restaurants in the area with lower prices and better food. Remember...Ridgewood, which has become a restaurant magnet town, a wannabe foodie destination, truly disappoints once again. GO ELSEWHERE.
Excellent quality of the dishes we were served. Only the masala tea was below standards for such place.
Service was rather slow! Service charge was included on the bill that was unusual so ended up tipping in excess on top of it!
The food was amazing. All the dishes had a new twist and we’re fresh and delicious. We were impressed and can’t wait to return.
THIS WAS OUR FIRST VISIT TO DELHI ACCENT AND IT WAS JUST WONDERFUL. EVERY DISH WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION. THE AMBIENCE IS LOVELY AND BRAVO FOR THEIR BEAUTIFUL SOUND SYSTEM...BEST IN ANY RESTAURANT WE'VE DINED AT...THE MUSIC WAS JUST PERFECT TO ACCOMPANY THE DINNER. ONLY COMPLAINT IS... I ATE TOO MUCH BUT LEFT HAPPY. WE WILL RETURN SOON.
Flavorful, authentic Northern Indian food is a bright, clean and nicely-decorated space with excellent service.
Everybody was raving about this restaurant in the Yelp reviews. The reviews happened to be extra long and I should have figured that it was done by their friends.
I walked in to meet a wall of pine cleaner which would not have been bearable throughout the meal. Basically they took the previous restaurant doused everything down in Pine cleaner so you couldn't even breathe with stained chairs. Who knows what the kitchen was like. I walked out. That is not a five-star experience for me. The nerve of the new owners to try to push this bandaid on the public. There are several much better choices in town.
