Good authentic and original dishes. Fresh ingredients can be tasted well. Chaat, Pani Puri, tandoori chicken were delicious. The Railroad Lamb could be more be more spiced or aromatic. Overall good food at affordable prices.

A really good find. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is flavoursome. Really good sized portions. We ordered several “small bites” and were full. Would advice to book as a very busy place. To help serve their many guests, they do request the table back after 90 mins to allow for others to enjoy their food. Though we were never rushed through.

An Islington favourite serving proper Indian food (as opposed to the usual Bangladeshi style in London curry houses). Butter chicken and lamb biryani both outstanding. Pleasant, friendly service (and Bollywood on big screens to entertain the solo diner!).

My favourite Islington Indian: The Delhi Grill serves up the sort of dishes I have eaten in Delhi and Rajasthan. The Butter Chicken is both rich and spicy without being overwhelming, and the Lamb Rogan Josh packs a fiery punch without being incendiary. Good service, a Bollywood themed "modern" dining area, and yes, they are on Deliveroo as well.

We have eaten at the Delhi Grill 3 times, and look forward to booking again! We usually go there for the 5.30pm first sitting before going to Sadlers Wells. It is usually quite at that time and there is plenty of time to order, be served and eat before a 7.30pm performance. Each time the food has been consistently tasty and well presented. Modern decor and take on traditional Indian food. Always good specials on offer. Service is good, and the staff are always helpful at answering our questions about the food. Good portion sizes. For two we order a couple of starters, a main, a veg dish and a nann, and share it between us.

Food was amazing the Chutney Rack at £3.50 and the poppadoms could have been a meal in themselves THe main reason for visiting was to check out the Pani Purees for my very fussy friend who will be visiting in September from Belgium and I am sure these will be the highlight of her trip. Service was really good and the decor really cheery - LOVED it

Quick service and there was a member of staff that was aware of allergens. The starter we ordered Aloo Tiki Chaat was very good and tasty. However the biryani and lamb curry were very very bland. Maybe we should have stuck with the grills but was very disappointed with the lack of flavour of the main course.

The thing about the spicy butter chicken.. as someone from Mumbai, maybe I have a different opinion on what butter chicken tastes and looks like. No hate.. the dish was tremendous and had the perfect spice. The color threw me off to be honest but apart from that the paneer bhurji the naan the fish tikka were incredible. Def do coming back!
