Delice & Sarrasin
Always go out with friends and eat at their places, now took them to mine and they loved it! Vegan or not this is the spot to eat. My friend said the Foigrass is better than that she gets at the butcher. Will come again and again and again:)
Love this restaurant. French vegan-how? Don’t matter-it works.
Be prepared to wait even if you have a reservation. Very few tables. Worth the wait for vegan treats!
Incredible selection of vegan dishes. We tried five dishes and all were excellent. Be aware that the restaurant is very tight, so do not expect privacy or any room to stretch out.
Great ambiance for a date or a meal with friends or family; "smart casual" attire is the most typical among the patrons. Excellent French food; very inventive vegan recipes; one of my favorite vegan restaurants that I've had the pleasure of visiting. As is typical of French food, some of the sauces and menu items are heavier than the more ordinary light quality of vegan/vegetarian dining, but I found the variety most welcome and delightful.
I am French and this is THE BEST, LA MEILLEURE vegan French food I’ve Ever eat. Whether you are vegan or not, you will love this cozy French ambiance and that incredible food! Can’t wait to go back. Les crêpes sont juste trop bonne!
This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. They have a very extensive menu for vegans. Everything I’ve ordered has been quite tasty. I’d highly recommend them.
A very intimate setting and great food! Even the meat eaters thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. Pleasantly surprised by the creativity and presentation of the food.
Every time we’ve gone to D&S, everything has been outstanding. The food is delicious. There are many options. Even their coffee is amazing! Our server was very friendly. And it’s in a great location. One of our favorite vegan spots.
The food was spectacular however the service was awful. The waiter was not particularly friendly and was hesitant to seat my friend and I even though we confirmed we had reservations. I raised my hand twice to ask for mustard and he kept walking past me - the place is tiny and there’s no way that he did not see me. I then said “excuse me sir” and he kept walking past as if I were invisible. Other than that, the menu was great but I will not be returning as I feel that the service was terrible.
Definitely make reservations. It’s a small and intimate space. The waiters were very attentive and the food was amazing.
Had a group of 6 that was accommodated. Everyone loved their food even the non vegans in the group. The food came fast and the service was great. Can’t wait to come back!
Love this place!
The food was quite mixed; two of our dishes were very nice, while one was repulsive. Unfortunately the server didn't seem upset that we barely eat one dish and told him it was awful.
I did not know French vegan cuisine was a thing. Very glad to know that it is :)
How I love this very chic French bistro. The wines are my favorite part - a wonderful selection of dynamic, vibrant and fabulous vegan (read: cruelty-free and oh so yummy) wines. The service is always very good and the food is tasty. On my last visit I shared a divine vegan foie gras (no geese were harmed!) with a decadent jam with my dining companion, along with an excellent white wine. The vegan cheese plate (all nut based - think of all the wonderful Omegas your skin is benefiting from) is also sublime. Pure bliss.
My only negative is that it is small so your table may be close enough to the next table that you almost rub elbows, however, it's a small price to pay for the rest of the (awesome) experience.
This is such a charming little spot tucked away in the west village. You can find authentic French cuisine here that has all been veganized. We took a couple here who are not vegan and they thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The sweet crepes and creme brûlée for dessert were both outstanding. I highly recommend this place for special occasions.
food was amazing, esp the steak tartare (tasted as close to the real thing as you can get!) and our server jonathan was lovely and helpful, recommended perfect wine for each dish. can't wait to check out their brunch!
Fantastic food! I travel a great deal and am always on the look out for good vegan restaurants, but had yet to find one that specializes in French cuisine. Delice and Sarrasin was spot on. The Couq au Vin was amazing as was the creme brulee. I will back on future trips to NYC.
Very good food, vegetarian versions of French classics, in very tight space.
There are much better vegan options in then city. Avant Garden, XYST, Ladybird, Double Zero, I could go on and on. Even if the menu was priced more reasonably, I still would not come here. Food is mediocre at best.
Wonderful restaurant! Love their chocolate crepes.
Well executed french cuisine prepared vegan. A true delight indeed. The atmosphere and service were outstanding. I will be returning the next time I am in town.
I got the steak and fries which were amazing. My girlfriend got the club sandwich which also tasted fantastic. Everything was seasoned beautifully. The atmosphere of the place was great. Cozy and warm. I recommend anybody to come here.
Great vegan options. Tasty food even for the non-vegan lover.
This place is amazing! You have to try the brie appetizer.
Small and cozy- very French- I am not a vegan but the food was excellent and if I ate like that every day I certainly wouldn’t mind being vegan!
The food and wine exceeded my expectations!! Can’t wait to go back
Vegans rule!!!!
It's my first ever bad review but I am vegan and had a lot of vegan restaurant before.
This food is just not tasty I am truly sorry we order 3 appetizers and 3 entrees.
We all had the same opinion...
Delicious and great service!
Tiny restaurant with tiny tables and small, often heavily oiled portions.
Anytime I come to the city, I make it a point to go to this lovely little restaurant. The food is beautifully seasoned (even my fiancé who is a fine-dining chef agreed) and as a vegan it’s wonderful to have so many delicious options. The owner is very helpful and attentive. I look forward to my next visit!
Food so good you forget it's vegan. My favorite NY restaurant.
If you're vegan, trying to eat better, or just curious. Delice & Sarrasin is an amazing vegan restaurant serving vegan versions of authentic french cuisine. Everything we had was some of my favorite vegan food I have ever tried. ( I have tried every vegan restaurant in chicago, and a handful in NYC.)
My two best friends (since high school) and I met up for a long, overdue brunch. I’ve been vegan for several year while they have more recently been trying to live vegan. It was delightful for us all to have so many delicious, tempting dishes to choose from. We’ll be back, again and again to try everything!
100% vegan, and better than most non-vegan bistros in Paris... when I was eating animal.
When I adopted a vegan lifestyle two years ago, I was worried that I would have to say goodbye to French food, given its reliance on meat, eggs and dairy. On a recent trip to NYC, I was thrilled to hear about Délice et Sarrasin, which promised vegan French cuisine. I really enjoyed the dinner - I had one of the best steak tartares that I have experienced and... it was vegan! Same for the fantastic escargots, which had all of the good aspects of snails... without the snails. This was a great experience.
One of my favorites in the city! Toujours un plaisir de pouvoir manger des plats traditionnels <3
Excelente servicio y comida
