Very nice Italian restaurant with great food and perfect service
We ate here on Saturday night 18th May.
Proper family authentic restaurant. If you want to eat in a quiet place with no atmosphere...dont go here.
Italians love sharing their food and I am glad we could share it too because it was tasty and there was plenty of it. Served by friendly attentive staff.
Would recommend in a heartbeat
Great food, good service and all round good value for money. Would highly recommend and will definitely return
Great traditional Italian restaurant with superb food and a great buzzy atmosphere. I have been coming here for years and it has been consistently good. The house wine is good value and extremely drinkable. The atmosphere always friendly and fun
Good reliable food.
Very convenient location, friendly & professional staff, excellent food. We had a wonderful Primitivo wine. All-in-all a great night out.
Had a really lovely meal and will be going back very soon. The staff are friendly and gave me great advice on the food.
Always buzzing and busy with regulars. The food came out quickly- delicious, as always and great quality.
The squid ink crab and shrimp pasta was very good. My guest had a seafood rissoto and he also really liked it. The value of the portion was just right. Staff was very friendly, offered genuine suggestions and we also got to speak to the owner which was very lovely.
Really good food, highly quality, the seafood was delicious! Lovely pasta! I’d definitely come agai !
Lovely evening... great food . Entertained by a large birthday party!!
This was my fourth time and it maintains quality food and service. Excellent menu with dishes always well executed and delicious.
Food, service and general experience always excellent
Good starters (a platter of cured meat, burrata and vegetables), overcooked seafood linguine. Dessert was oranges with mascarpone and ice cream, nothing to write home about. Overpriced wine. Service was nice but the ambiance was terribly noisy.
Charming Little Italy style, ideal for lunch. Wild boar ragout was a winner
Always a delight..never disappoints...veal is delicious.
When in London, I crave the pasta and the enjoyable staff. Great evening
One of our favourite restaurants and continues to be so.
If you a looking for a friendly taste of italy that won't break your bank balance you need look no further.
A most enjoyable lunch; on a Monday, the place was very busy, with a good atmosphere. Our food was most acceptable, well presented and tasty. Despite the number of people dining,. service was efficient ad friendly. A decent enough bottle of Valpolicella at a sensible price, too.
A great place to have a satisfying dinner in an environment in which it seems like everyone in the place is having as much fun as you! Good menu, lots of choices, food is wholesome, and the staff is welcoming.
My first visit here and not my last.
An authentic and fabulous experience.
The best traditional Italian in London
Overall, a very good restaurant. It is a traditional Italian, independent, and makes a refreshing change from all the chains. The food is excellent, house wine very good, and it has a lively (without being too noisy) atmosphere.
Good atmosphere ; 2 very good main dishes , 1 rather indifferent . Have eaten here several times and would certainly come again .
Great atmosphere - second time I’ve been here and it’s been great both times.
Excellent food and service. Colleague went off menu but staff very helpful. Really enjoyable, thanks
Demartino is based on fantastic food and great service which should prove more than enough for any restaurant. However the style, ambience and "welcoming" attention that simply everyone seems to receive, makes this Central London Italian Classic a one off. The fact that it was difficult to get a table in both January and February in an area "teeming" with great places to eat, says everything
Great Italian restaurant with generous helpings and friendly staff. Wine is available by the glass and 500ml carafe which is great when you don’t want a bottle. The veal chop is legendary and my partners salmon was fresh and generous in size. Grilled vegetables, seafood starter and desserts all good. It’s noisy and the wooden seats are a bit hard so not for a romantic evening by candle light but perfect for quick meal. Complimentary Grappa was much appreciated!
Cold starter that should have been hot. Cold liver for main served on a cold plate with oily cold sautéed potatoes.
They re heated when asked under the grill but the liver under the top layer was still cold.
Poor poor poor!!
A reliable “old skool” Italian restaurant. Often interesting daily specials. Very buzzy.
Really nice atmosphere and vibe. Great food and friendly staff
Great food and service! Will definitely Oreos be back soon!
Food and service v good as usual . A bit noisy but still one of my favourite italian in London
This is my second visit to Demartino - the standard and quality of service and food remained the same. This restaurant cannot be faulted. You can taste the freshness of the food produced and can feel the warmth in the restaurant. Will definitely be back!
The food was lovely and the portion sizes were generous. Good ambience and a lovely place for Lunch.
The only downside is that the restaurant was so cold!
One of our favourite places to eat. Central location. Relaxed vibe. Food is excellent. Their veal Milanese with home made spaghetti and fried zucchini is outstanding! Great menu, good selection of wines. Authentic and always welcoming.
Lovely food, generous portions and great service. Thank you!
This is an excellent authentic Italian and a rare find in the middle of London. The food is delicious and the service is on point. Great for any occasion.
Always happy to go here and this time it was for a birthday dinner. For the location it remains incredible value.
