The food was delicious as always, no complaints there, my only concern is that our waiter was not as present as we hoped he would be. I can tell that they were a little understaffed because he was helping both the bar and the few tables he had on the floor. However, he only really ever checked in on us twice and, we went the whole meal without chips or salsa. We also didn’t get any water offered. Which is the basic of a waiter interaction. Overall, not the end of the world, but just thought I would mention.

Nothing better than guacamole, chips and salsa. My wife had the El Dorado and I had the Volcano, both were phenomenal.

Food tasted good but portions were ridiculously small. I had the mahi mahi tacos and the mahi strip was the width of my finger. Blue corn tortilla was chewy. Our first basket of chips was stale. We ordered spicy potatoes as a side and were told they were out. We had to wait quite a bit for two taco plates. The waitress was nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Also our appetizer plate had a big chip/ broken. Looked funny like someone bit the plate and it was covered up by the napkin. We’re foodies and love experiencing new places but sorry not worth coming back.

Enjoyed happy hour drinks, appetizers and some entrees. Great flavor, good ambiance, nice service staff and overall a good experience. Will repeat for sure!

We were celebrating two family birthdays and you made us feel special. We live in the neighborhood but our relatives had not been to Descanso and they were impressed. You never fail to please!
