Great service and really good food. We have been a few times and never been disappointed.
Good experience but felt it was a bit pricey overall
This was the 3rd visit this year. The food again was very good and reasonably priced. There was, unfortunately, a communication problems with the waiting staff! They had problems understanding us and vice versa. Particularly, ordering the dessert of AFOGATO (coffee and ice cream) caused huge problems! However, this did not spoil our evening and we will return.
I was with a close relative and neither of us had visited the restaurant before. It was extremely busy when we arrived but the service was prompt and professional. There is a comprehensive drinks menu with a good selection of wines and also non alcoholic drinks. The food was excellent, beautifully tender chicken and lamb marinated in pomegranate and other juices which made it absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a tradition clay bread oven and produces great freshly baked bread - it is literally cooked as you watch and has a wonderful smoky taste. We were too full to sample the dessert menu but can highly recommend the starters and mains.
Great personal service and friendly atmosphere. Food was well cokked and well presented. We will return
Nice family feeling to the restaurant. Food was nice and reasonable value.
Diba offers a range of Persian and non-Persian dishes. Food was quite delicious, we had the mixed grill which was quite enough for 2 to 3 persons. I'd recommend the garlic naan bread which was rich in flavour. Service was very good with very attentive and friendly waitress. The place can get very noisy when its busy. Would go next time for a quick meal or friends get together.
My Dinner Companion had suggested trying Diba, as she recently discovered she liked Persian food....
Before agreeing I checked the menu on-line for food choices and prices and decided it was worth giving it a go, so I booked our table.
Having seen Momtaz on a neighbouring table I ordered that for my main course and really enjoyed the dish; very tasty flavours and nicely presented too.
My friend followed in my footsteps with the main course, as it suited her gluten-free requirements, but opted for a different desert (hers had a gluten-free option which is commendable!) to mine; both of which were good and we totally polished them off.... 😀
The staff was friendly and service provided good and the value of the meal was excellent.
I would go back.
This is the second time here and both have been enjoyable. Have recommended to friends who also liked it
Good meal here. Very pleasant waiting staff, pleasant ambience & some tasty food.
My partner and I went to Diba for dinner on the Thursday leading up to Easter and needless to say it was quite crowded. I booked through Open Table, however there was no obvious table reserved for us we were just plonked down at the nearest free table. The service was chaotic and slow. The waitress was new and hadn't a clue about the menu. My partner ordered Shaslik and was served lamb chops. We queried this with the waitress but was fobbed off. My partner, being the easy going type tucked in to the chops anyway and said it was very nice! I asked for the advertised draught lager but was told there wasn't any only bottled beer - pity. So in conclusion don't expect too much from this restaurant.
The food was nice but maybe this restaurant would be better suited for lunch rather than dinner.
It was a good Iranian cousin served with a friendly staff while the venue was jammed with babies trollies and lauded children shouting and playing, it was understood that the restaurant is a family friendly but it was over the limit.
I suggest that the management of the restaurant look at how the washroom is situated or located.
But, with that have been said we enjoyed the food and the serving staff.
Wonderful food and friendly staff but service is a bit patchy.
Overbooked and were not able to keep out booking time so we went elsewhere
New Year Evening.
Good solid food within easy reach of the theatre - perfect for an early dinner with the kids after the panto.
First time at Diba and will be back Service very friendly and efficient. Basically a Meze followed by grills menu with an Iranian twist. The grilled chicken we had with pomegranate was moist and delicious. Mint tea was the best I’ve tasted anywhere and the portions were generous. Two slight gripes. Menu is huge and combinations would be helpful. There are meze combinations for large groups. Second iceberg lettuce in salad. Change it for something else. It’s tasteless!
First time here, the staff were welcoming and the food was absolutely lovely. Top quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. We shall be returning!
Lovely restaurant in the heart of Wimbledon serving excellent food with great service.
Very friendly atmosphere, excellent food and very good value.
Very cosy ambience, extremely friendly service and different authentic food full of unusual flavours. If you'd like to try something different, I would definitely recommend this place. we had a very relaxing dining experience. 4 stars for food since Baba Ganoush was somewhat lacking flavour, and was very different from what we had in other places. having said that, the rest was spot on.
fab food, great service, a lovely little find, ill definately come again. Thankyou
My first time in Diba with my partner, really tasty food and attentive atmosphere, highly recommended
