   Great food, lovely surroundings and good service. Major point of contention was the massive price difference between the online menu and the restaurant menu. Example, fillet steak (which was fantastic) on line price £20.95 on site menu price £26.95, just one example, differences on every item on the menu. Result, DON’T rely on the online prices. When we queried it we were told “these are the prices, not what’s online” don’t advertise them then!! Overall, lovely and it didn’t stop us ordering, just annoying when the bill comes in at £20 more than you thought it should.

   The food was nice but the chips were burnt with the steak, I had baileys which was off, had lumps in it, I work in a bar so i know this wasn’t due to the ice as the cream had curdled, the staff were okay, young lad who cleared our plates was polite. One girl, can’t remember her name was very rude to another staff member (Emma) I think, Emma was laying cutlery on a table where guests were sat and this girl game over and stared at her and said “what are you doing” “you don’t do it like that” and even the guests made a comment saying how you have to learn somehow. Felt so bad for Emma, as if someone spoke to my staff like that, they wouldn’t be there anymore.

   First time we’ve stayed here me and my daughter for a birthday treat for myself we’ve just got back from the most wonderful stay all the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful great location Hotel spotless could not fault it anyway very clean quiet superb food lovely eating terrace I’m two minutes away on the beach and great views from the room and plus there’s parking would definitely stay again

   The food was lovely however as stated in my booking this was our 1st wedding anniversary having got married at the cliff to be offered a table under the tv in the bar yes they did move us but was not quite what we had planned for an evening with friends really could do better

   Very good meal but had dined at the Cliff Hotel carvery previously and was a little disappointed that was no longer on offer as it allowed the children to select vegetables they were more comfortable with.

   We ate outside. The hotel has thought of everything they had heaters outside, blankets. just in case weather turned. We had a lovely Sunday Roast. Staff was very attentive. would highly recommend this hotel.

    Wasn't happy with the menu very basic & not the menu that was online when booking. The Waitress told us it was changed only two days ago the only meal with vegetables was the Cod which after ordering was told they had no fish. After choosing chicken & chips it was very dry. Had to ask for services because no one came back to us after seating us. Waitress was pleasant enough & she did speak with the manager who did give a dinner free for the inconvenience but didn't personally come over to apologise. I've been to this hotel a couple off times before for a meal and was very happy with the food & all round service, don't quite know what went wrong last night but I probably won't go back again. On the other hand the Hotel is very nice & clean.

    Went to The Cliff for lunch and had sandwiches and panini. generous portions. We sat in the inside and it is airy and light. Amazing service. Thank you Cliff Hotel

    Service was very poor and slow. The waiting staff do not Seem to listen Steak not Cooked as requested. Chips Greasy. You order white bread and get brown a few instances. Steak was quite good but not a patch on last year

    Lovely location, food was delicious party of 4 all had different meals. Staff were friendly, polite and professional. The atmosphere is of calm I could actually here what our guests were saying! So clean and over all will definitely book again and recommend. Only slight down fall is the car park but my brother managed to park on the road as the car park was full.

    Sunday lunch choice was good, we each had the Sunday roast, one beef, one pork and one nut-roast, and all were good. Attentive service, did not have to wait even though fairly busy, there were plenty of staff at hand. Very good desserts too thank you.

    First time visit and it was very enjoyable. We shall be returning. Sue was very helpful and got everything we needed. We ate on the terrace and as we walked through the restaurant it was very busy and noisy ever so glad we sat outside

    Order a steak it was slightly over cooker no check back done finding a member of staff who wasnt chatting to a table they obviously knew took a long time asking for more drinks a dn confusion over the bill

    This was my second visit to the Cliff and I had a lovely time. The staff were attentive, the food was really tasty and It's good value. There's a lovely view from the terrace and the bar area has nice decor and is light and airy. Will most definitely return

    Had the steak however added the "tiger prawns" which I think had gone through a hot wash before serving as they were tiny!!! So to charge £3.50 extra for 3 small prawns was expensive

    Lovely views, really nice setting. Initial impressions were very good. Food itself was fine - no complaints. Only issue was our main course meals not appearing after our starters were taken. We asked after 40 minutes and they still took another 15 minutes. No compensation offered - no free drinks or anything, just lots of excuses. Just a shame as it tarnished the whole meal

    Lovely hotel nicely laid out amazing terrace with great views. Bar alcove seating can be a bit tight with 4 adults seated. Food well presented.

    Staff were polite, extremely friendly & very helpful. Meal was lovely, tasted good & was hot. Excellent value for money. Staff were attentive , without being overly obvious. View was beautiful 😍 Have recommended this restaurant to friends. Will definitely visit again.

    We pre booked a table, order was taken within 5 minutes we waited over a hour and half still no food arrived. Within this time numerous group of other diners who arrived and ordered after us had received their food eaten and left. We were also made to feel the restaurant didn’t like children dining there and we were a group of 6 including 2 children. We enquired about our food order 3 times and still no answer, we then asked to speak to the restaurant manager who didn’t apologise but if anything was argumentative and posing a very negative body language towards using arm gestures and making us feel embarrassed in front of the other diners. We will not be returning. We will not be recommending.

    I’ve been a customer for quite a while and I have seen the changes at the hotel,in a good way. Unfortunately there are 2 things I would like to point. 1-some of the stuff is a bit hung and some times feels like they don’t know what they are doing,for example;forgetting some items on the order. 2-its a restourant and it’s laud I get that tout is it necessary for people to be swearing in a loud volume? I normally take the family including 2 kids and I do not want them exposed to this sort of language. Apart from that as always we enjoy the Cliff hotel. Thank you
