We specialise in an Izakaya style of cooking, combining Japanese and European cuisines to create delicious small plates. Sushi and sashimi change with the seasons. Enjoy Josper grilled lobster or Japanese Wagyu beef. Alongside our a la carte menu, we offer different tasting menus that can also be paired with wine or sake, giving you the full Dinings SW3 experience.
One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever had. Food and service were exceptional. Definitely coming back again!
Very nice resturant. But a bit difficult to find it if follows the Google map.
Not too bad after all
My absolute favorite restaurant!
Excellent as usual!
Was great! Such a nice and cozy restaurant and the food very yummy !! Will definitely be back ❤️
Outstanding service & food, definitely one of the best Japanese fusion restaurants in the UK. Better than Nobu in my opinion. Hope they retain the friendliness and quality for many years to come.
Great food and great place. Loved it!
Delicious and innovative overall an enjoyable experience would highly recommend and will for sure go again. The main dining area is small but with many period features.
Service was not good. Food was forgotten. Had to ask 3 times for a plate of tuna sashimi. Manager made it up with some free desert but the ambience felt so rushed it was not a great experience.
A great evening and great food, will definitely be back
Dinnings is still as nice as it was before Covid-19. Its warm place, with outstanding food and service. I believe is one of the best japanese restaurants in London by far.
Great food, a bit overpriced but very food overall!!
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We were a group of 5 adults for lunch to celebrate my daughters birthday.
The welcome was friendly, the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful and the food was top class. We will definitely come back to this restaurant and would highly recommend it for a special occasion.
Incredible food. Best sushi I’ve had in London. Sat at the sushi counter so could watch the sushi chef make everything, which is always fun. The service was fantastic as well and just really nice and friendly people who gave personalized attention. Obviously it is pricey though, and I easily paid 140 GBP just for me - which having spent a lot of time in Japan, feels expensive, but is on par in London for high quality sushi/dining. Best overall dining experience I’ve had in London - and I lived here for two years.
overpriced and bad service
Very smart restaurant but difficult to order right amount of food and bill was massive
The ambience and service was great. However, I think it was overrated. We ordered 4 different types of maki rolls and they were all below average; not fine dining measures. As for the other food items we ordered, the were below average. I wouldn’t come again.
Freshest fish in London ...
Unfortunately, didn’t feel very COVID safe. Our table was bang up next to another - no 2 m distance observed. The sommelier took off his mask to speak to patrons on the next table. The restaurant also filled every table in the evening, both seated and the bar. Overall this spoilt the experience as it simply didn’t feel as safe as it should.
My favourite little dinner spot! Lovely ambience and outstanding service, you’re never waiting on anything!
Absolutely wonderful. I booked in the afternoon for a dinner the same day. Location is great, nicely tucked away and beautiful to look at. Turned up half an hour early, was welcomed to sit by the bar where the bartender made us custom cocktails. Was guided to a lovely table upstairs on the balcony. Both waitress and the waiter explained the menu and guided us through how they were put together when the food arrived. Well worth the money and the time to visit. The aubergine was top class
Very good meal post covid. Service so much better than most places. Helpful, discrete, informative and friendly. An unhurried meal. It is always fantastic food. Innovative, well matched and varied.
Dinings SW3 is simply our preferred restaurant in London after 3 years spanning the original fine dining landscape
Our first dinner out since the start of lockdown so our enthusiasm was very high! The welcome was very nice - traditional Japanese shouts. I had a lovely house gimlet to start - elderflower and lemon but subtle and not sweet. Our first dish was the best - a sea bass “ceviche” with very interesting flavours but I can’t do them justice and don’t remember the ingredients unfortunately. Otherwise the highlight was the grilled sea bass (utterly different style from the first) with an amazing grilled tomato salad underneath. Wish I knew what was in that salad! Service was very good, though I prefer a little more distance - please don’t come over and fill up my water glass every 5 minutes! The bill was very high at £120 a head, and although we didn’t drink much we really ate a lot so I was happy.
Top class as usual
Lovely setting in a historic building tucked away in a mews.
Delicious food, cannot fault it, expect to pay though (£300 two person dinner), probably one of the best in the city. Good cocktails and sake too.
Only comment is no one explained the menu to start with, or more the sizes. You can assume that the price stated is per piece unless it says otherwise (eg 3 pcs on some) but then some dishes were randomly huge like the Iberico pork sumiyaki was main course size and the 3pcs lobster roll was more like 6 big pcs. No complaints but would be good to know so don’t order too much.
Lovely !! Great food and definitely great service !
Best Toro in Town!
The best restaurant ever. My favorite, i cant get enough!
Lovely food & great cocktails and fantastic service.
Our waitress was outstanding. Took great care and food was even better than before.
It is by no means the restaurant's fault but it is incredibly disappointing to see a table with old children and teenagers all playing on game consoles in the centre table on a Saturday night. It completely destroys the atmosphere in the beautiful restaurant.
The food was fantastic as always. The service was also good.
The tacos were a bit bland. They needed some acid to cut the fat of the fish.
First time I visited SW3 was 1 year ago for a sake tasting, fell in love with the restaurant and with the food, so I decided to come back for a lunchtime with my girlfriend.
Excellent service, they didn’t miss anything, followed us step by step without being obstructive. Food amazing as well! Loved everything, excellent the way to serve it 1 dish after the other as we were sharing everything.
Is an excellent restaurant for business meals and also for everyday dining or dates, you won’t be disappointed!!
Loved the food and the service, we wer seated on the first floor the seats are too close so if you are a big person it might be a little uncomfortable
nice food, quite creative, very fresh fish but not always seasoned enough. Very long wait between dishes. Attentive and friendly service.
Food was excellent! Service slightly less so but nice and friendly. I would definitely go back
