The starters were nice - wings and dumplings and also the cocktails were good but the main, half chicken and chilli chicken burger was not good at all. Had two bites and left the rest. Tasteless and not spicy. Stick to starters and don’t get mains!
The burger I ordered was the "Mac Daddy", which although small packed a punch. This with the Mac & Truffle Cheese made for a great meal. Very tasty and fulfilling.
The price was higher than I would've liked but expected of the area. To enjoy a meal, for two, with food & drinks, expect to fork over ~£20-25 pp.
We were sat in the middle of the relatively empty eating area, where nicer (not reserved) seating was free. Little disappointed that the staff did not offer the more comfortable area as it was clearly available - perhaps my mistake for not asking? Regardless, this was a dampener on the experience for me.
Excellent service but the entire building was almost as cold as outside. I went to visit the ladies and there were no lights just 3 candles on a window seal. One small heater in the whole dinning area which they moved at the request of one table, don't mind the rest of us. Good cocktails maybe staff should try so when customers ask for an opinion they can give one not just based on ingredients. Food was okay. Wouldn't recommend the veggie burger- dry and tasteless however the Mac N cheese balls., delicious.
Bottomless brunch was amazing - would highly recommend!
Second time my wife and I have been to Dirty Bones and yet again we were not dissapointed .. the staff were great .. good atmosphere ., great friendly service and the food was awesome .. totally recommended ! ., and yes .. we will be back !!
Open table has advertised unlimited prosecco when you pay £19 pp but when we got to the restaurant they said this is not included in the price and the price Is actually £22 for bottomless drinks
this is false advertisement and needs to be looked at
Wine was warm
Service was slow
Received wrong drinks twice
Food was really good at Dirty Bones. We had a burger and some fried chicken to share with a side of chips. The chicken was a bit greasy but very tender and the batter was yummy. The burger was the best, we scoffed that down in seconds. The cocktails were also very good, a good selection, pretty on they eye and tasty. The only thing that prevented me from giving it some more stars was the service towards the end of the night. I understand that they were cleaning down, but it took some to get a waiters attention which was a bit disappointing after a good meal.
Delicious food - everything we ordered was spot on. Cocktails also a big highlight.
All in all a really cool place for dinner with an original menu, lovely staff, buzzing vibe and excellent tunes! Will definitely go back for more
Terrible service. I use open table a lot. Found this restaurant, checked availability, consulted with family and booked it for 2 hours later. Booking was confirmed so we made travel plans. Then the restaurant called me to say they had a private party and we couldn't go at all that day. What a waste of time. Does that mean I can't trust open table anymore?
great atmosphere, great service and amazing food. You got to have there mac bites absolutely delicious and there ribs if u love ur meat
Great spot, the ambient is excellent, the menu is tasty and the music is always on point. Love me some old school laid-back hip-hop while the boys and I get some burgers and fried chicken.
Great food and service!
Charged for drinks that never came, they also claimed I didn't make a reservation when I clearly did, then had to display proof of reservation confirmation. Won't return.
Not bad not great
Ok place however food was average. Service was also a barge and not very personal
Really wonderful friendly service, a straightforward comfort food menu with good food (especially liked the mac 'n' cheese!) and a happy easy vibe make for a really great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a relaxed good night. Definitely look forward to next time!
I came here for my birthday at the weekend and we had such a good time! The staff were friendly and hilarious, the food was delicious especially the mac daddy burger and there was a great atmosphere with good music! I kept my birthday a secret but my sister and the staff surprised me by singing happy birthday with a tasty doughnut!
Mac Daddy was the Mac daddy
While the idea is great , old school hip hop/funk combined with yummy comfort food, the execution was not...
- the music was more pop than funk
- the mac and cheese was dry.. no creamy or stringy goodness or flavour
- the wait staff was inefficient and uninterested
