The restaurant was louder than what I expected. Definitely has more of an upbeat bar code versus a sit-down dinner place. Nonetheless, the food was amazing! Some of the best seafood I’ve had in DC.
This is the best place in DC to have a great lunch with the best service.
I made a note that we were celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday. I was hoping for a better table then being sat in the bar next to a service station. The food was nothing special.
Excellent service by Kelly. Frisée salad was great. Burger was even better.
Amazing service. Host were friendly and accommodating to our needs. I love the decor and ambiance and the food was pretty good. Drinks were just ok. I would definitely come back here!
Great decor and aesthetic but if you want to sit outside for brunch you are on your own. I liked the venue though and the bartender was really nice. The food options are just okay.
Excellent house salad. The charcuterie was underwhelming. Wonderful service. I would come back for a burger and truffled fritte.
Very nice. I met a friend for lunch during restaurant week. The ambiance is completely different from when the place was called Ponte. Service was good. Food was good. It's a great location and they have valet parking which is convenient. Definitely recommend.
Restaurant week during the week had a brunch menu. Overall ok. The items we wanted had a surcharge. Most rememberable from the menu we had was the tomato soup. Very good. Nice probably for happy hour. Nice ambience.
Visited during restaurant week and it was an amazing pairing selection. My partner and I loved every bite!
I really wanted to love everything about this place but our service was so terrible. We went for brunch just the three of us but we were never given a cocktail menu so when the waitress finally came to take our orders we already had our food orders ready so we just ordered standard mimosas and a Bloody Mary to make the process faster since the waitress didn’t seem to come around too often. Two of us got our drinks with the appetizer but one person didn’t get their mimosa until after we asked about it when the entree came. On multiple occasions we were sitting with empty glasses and no water with our meals but no one was even walking through our section to flag down to ask for refills. When we got our desserts one of the orders was completely the wrong thing. What we thought would be a quick brunch since we had such a small group ended up taking 2.5 hours. Beautiful atmosphere but I don’t know if I’ll be returning.
We had to wait for our food for very long time. Our server wouldn't even wait for a second to look up the menu for last time. We had keep asking to pour us some water. Two other tables who came in way later then us were served before us, our food was given to the other table. People like us with little children shouldn't be waiting that long. By the time our food arrived our kids started getting fussy and crying because they were all hungry. Our check and the list of items ordered had 2 different amounts. Overall we were very embarrassed in front of our guests. Next time will think before taking anyone there.
We made our reservation during Restaurant Week as we had been eyeing it for quite sometime. The service was attentive, food was fabulous and the only thing we did not like was having to go one floor up to the restroom
Dirty Habit exceeded every expectation I had. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff was very polite and hospitable, the ambiance and decor was beautiful and the food was AMAZING. Definitely worth every penny spent and I will be back again.
Loved the food options and I also loved that they paired some drinks to go with the menu as well. Have already told my friends and colleagues to go!
Really impressed with the food and service. I had been to Poste, it’s predecessor in the Hotel Monaco. This has it beat. Had spicy seafood pasta-outstanding. An hour later my husband is still talking about how good the pork loin was. Going back!
We went for Restaurant Week and the dinner was very good, though the appetizer was quite small. The drinks were okay, but not worth the price (they were quite small). The waiter was very friendly, but a little too involved - he would come over and explain the course to us even though we a) ordered it and b) he explained it to us as we made the order. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and the food was good. I'm not sure we'd go back on a regular night, but would definitely go back for Restaurant Week.
Food was very average, and also very overpriced. Cocktails were nice.
We had someone with food allergies to nuts and though we alerted the waiter of these allergies and asked if specific foods had nuts, he still served her food with nuts. Luckily we saw it before she ate anything. Additionally the service was slow in general and it was not very crowded at all.
Food took over an hour to come out (4 x brunch orders!) and it was just ok, not great. Service was ok, we had to keep asking for our water to be refilled. Not all the meals came out at once. Ambience of the restaurant is really nice but I wouldn’t recommend for food, maybe come back for drinks.
I went for restaurant week and the experience was amazing!! The food was so tasty but avoid the Koi drink as its very small and expensive.
The Dirty Habit restaurant was a treasure in a haystack. We came earlier than our reservation time. The host accommodated us. The atmosphere was energetic. Food was excellent; flavors of numerous fruit and vegetables exploded in my mouth. We had the three course meals and shared every plate. We tried the ceviche, fried pork belly, black sea bass, scallops, tiramisu, and crème Brule. Everything was wonderful, however the sea bass was extremely tasty. I highly recommend.
As always another amazing dining experience. Service was exquisite.
We got there an hour early not knowing that it wasn’t service time, but you would have never know it. The whole staff was friendly and attentive. The bar staff gets a shout they recommend great drinks and I cannot say enough about this restaurant. Food amazing, service outstanding, I cannot say enough if I could you would get 10 stars. Great job. We will be back for sure. Very soon.
This was noted as a birthday celebration on our reservation, but there was no acknowledgement of this special event. The food was excellent!! I would also like management to know that the napkins had an unpleasant smell to them, like too heavy on the laundry detergent.
My friend and I went to Dirty Habit for the restaurant week lunch. There were plenty of choices and several gluten free options. The staff was very professional.
I would recommend the Dirty Habit!
I love this place and visit frequently. The staff is superb as is the ambiance and the food is spectacular. It's not cheap, but I feel worth it. We frequent this place for happy hour at work but I'd never eaten there. I had a first date and chose the restaurant because it's close to my job. My date was really late but the staff starting with the hostess was so attentive that I did not mind waiting. I happily finished 2 courses with some wine while I waited. Lucky for me it was restaurant week and they served their full menu which you could get a la carte or 3 courses for $35. They even offered a beverage pairing for each course for an additional $25. I was impressed that the beverage selection included, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
Beautiful restaurant, welcoming server, and nice menu variety.
The food was excellent and the staffs are very professional! Love this restaurant. We were waiting for our table and the manager stopped by several time to apologize and even offered us complimentary drinks.
Ambiance was great. We bought a bottle of wine ordered the prime rib and octopus.
Service was slow, steak was over cooked.
Will take a lot to bring us back and we live local.
I have been coming here for the last two years. Love the staff and the food - highly recommend.
Waited 10 minutes to get a drink - the House Drink was pathetic (like Cool Aid) so I ordered a standard Martini - took another 15 minutes for me to get the Martini. Food was O.K. Ordered the steak Medium Rare/Rare - it came to the table Medium (over cooked). Also, they were adverstising their "Summer Brunch" special menu! (on the website) but when my wife and I got there, we found out that that Summer Menu Special didn't go into effect until today! (It was advertised as being a $22 pre-fix meal - 3 courses.
NOt a really pleasant experience - I know the Hotel Monaco can do better.
I like this restaurant for all types of meals. Food was very good, especially the potatoes.
While I think Dirty Habit is cute, and has a great cocktail menu, it would be benefit from not seating people so closely together, and being more accommodating on its menu. Definitely worth visiting once if in the area!
Service was excellent. Never been there but my friend, who's birthday it was have and server made it even better with everything being excellent. TYLER was super nice with making my date better. He provided a surprise appetizer on the house as well as a desert. Made sure he got a great tip just because of the awesome service and nice gesture. Will certainly visit Dirty Habit and Tyler specifically. Please make sure he gets the recognition he well deserves.
Thank you for the great review. I will not only let Tyler know that you had a wonderful time but I will also post this on our Hall of Fame Board. Thank you, -Thomas
I enjoyed our time it was great
This is a nice restaurant, great for celebrating a special occasion. Beautiful ambiance and great food!
I came here for a birthday dinner with a friend. The old version of this place had been a regular HH haunt for us when we both worked on 7th street and we were feeling nostalgic.
First the pros. The atmosphere and service are still very much on point. You can't beat the back patio. Now for the cons. The place is stupid expensive, even for a hotel restaurant in DC. The happy hour price for a glass of wine is advertised as $5, but that's only for 4oz. A normal sized glass will run you more than double that. Surprise!
We ordered a series of appetizers instead of dinner and knew what we were getting into since the prices were clearly printed on the menu, but the portions were tiny for everything except the charcuterie plate and the food was just okay. We wound up with a $220 bill for two people before tip. That would have gone a long way elsewhere.
Had a good experience
This place has the best food and service. My favorite in DC.
