Really good to be out! Very Covid safe, friendly staff and great atmosphere
excellent food and service .................................
I think it may have changed hands? Food was fair but just not as good as our previous visit
Temperature taken on arrival, plus you’re asked to leave details or scan on the app. Escorted to table and table service all evening.
Food was delicious and the staff were very attentive.
Did not feel that safe, staff walked round wearing masks incorrectly if not at all, was not reminded to scan the track and trace app upon entering and noise level in the back part where we were sat was through the roof could barely hear each other. I wouldn’t return.
The food was fantastic.
Absolutely no social distancing in place. Our table was crammed right next to another table in a small room. Table was less than a metre apart so not only were we worried about social distancing but it was hard to have a conversation too.
Pathtetic. Will not recommend anybody. Service was poor. We waited for food for almost a hour and food quality is appaling
It was a lovely hot evening and we sat in the garden which looked lovely - we could almost imagine we were abroad. The food was excellent - lots of choice and superbly cooked.
We will be back.
Food was fantastic and measures for covid safety were impressive
Average food and extremely poor service. When we complained about the time it was taking for the food to arrive, (the chicken tikka masala arrived and then the naan arrived 20 mins later!!) the girl that was serving us said... “I don’t control what comes out of the kitchen and I don’t know why you’re making such a big deal about...” Not the response we had expected!! We complained to the manager and he said that he had “received several complaints!”
I will definitely not be going again.
Food was very good, would certainly visit here again. Only drawback was that it was in a room away from the live music, would be nice if you could have both!
Always great food love the ginger chicken, always leave full. Service always excellent and very friendly
Traditional pub in the heart of Eastcote serving indian food of a high standard. Staff are friendly and inviting. Worth a try!
Awful food and terrible service. Wouldn't go back again. Was expecting a lot more. Shame.
Poor service - got our order wrong multiple times, food took 90 minutes to arrive, waitress was rude when asked where is the food, the response was “in the kitchen”, cucumber for gin and tonic was soggy and shrivelled with growth on it, there were mistakes with our booking and number of people. Would never go ahead - this was for my husband’s birthday dinner which was a complete shambles.
The indian food was very good and the draft beer excellent.
Rude member of staff!!
We had a party of 6, we we’re advised by a member of staff that we were making too much noise! We were talking and laughing. Really don’t know how that was too much noise!
We were enjoying our starters when the member of staff shouted “WOULD YOU LIKE A RECEIPT?” And turned around to look at us. We were shocked and were silent for a few minutes. I then said I think she was quite rude. The staff member then came over and said she had said it as a joke. We asked to speak to the manager and were told that the manager was not there.
We spoke to another member of staff and asked for the bill as we did not feel comfortable continuing our meal at Nico’s. When asked why we explained what had happened, she said that she had said to the other member of staff that she didn’t think we had been noisy.
We ended up going to another restaurant to finish our meal.
The food at Nico’s was great. Shame about the member of staff.
Very noisy, very small place to have a food, not recomend for family visits or dining..
Food and service was fantastic keep up the good work
Food was really good. Only thing I would say is that the lamb dish was a bit too sweet. Also the prices are quite dear for the portion size, which is a shame as the food is lovely. Veg is dishes were too expensive, same as the meat.
We ate in the restaurant, rather than outside. We had decided to opt for the pub menu and food was massively over priced, starters were sharing platters that had one of some items and tiny portions.
pleasant. the atmosphere was overall good... ....................................
Have been wanting to go here for a while... finally managed to go... and this will definitely not be the last time. Looking forward to booking in the very near future
It was really good, went there for Mother’s Day
The food and atmosphere here is always amazing. The staff are on point and always go that extra mile to help you.
We decided to go this time round when there a live band and it was awesome, everyone was having a great time and the bar staff did not even feel the pressure.
Defo recommend this to all of you, the food is spectacular, if you want authentic Indian food your best bet is here!
A great Sunday afternoon at The Black Horse with family and friends. Many menu options and not just Indian (that we went for). Very attentive service and not intrusive just right.
Enjoy a great meal in the restaurant but found it difficult to hear each other. Wonderful atmosphere in the cooking area outside will try that another time and food looked great in the bar
lovely little restaurant, great food and great service
Genuinely great place. The Indian menu is absolutely amazing and is actually the best Indian food I've ever had. The atmosphere is great too. I hope one day to try the outdoor koroga. I'd recommend to everyone. Nico and the team should be very proud of what they have.
The Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. Black Horse management told me that they have tried to pass this info to Open Table without success. Please correct your web page process for this and reflect the hours of operation for the pubs on your site.
Nico's at the Black Horse has a nice Indian menu in a nice setting at the back of the main pub. The grilled dishes were nice and I would visit here again.
Waitress really good but overworked so we had a long wait for drinks. Meal finished before drinks requested arrived. Otherwise she was lovely but had a lot to cover. Food really nice. Well priced
They had a live band performing that evening. The band which performed was called Large Portion they played some amazing numbers from 60,s and 70s awe some band. The crowd was amazing and over all atmosphere was rocking. Must visit place.
Booked this for Mothers Day, had previous noticed this pub on passing and had stopped for a quick drink.
Returned again to try the food, for Mothers Day with our 8 month old. On arrival the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive during our lunch. Although they don't have any high chairs yet, were flexible to accommodate our toddler. The Food was very nice, tasty, good size portions. Desserts again couldn't find a fault. Cant wait to try the outdoor cooking in the summer. ! Think I've found a new local.
Would happily return again and also recommend this to others.
Went for the first time on Father's Day and had a fabulous time.
The atmosphere was welcoming as were the waiters and waitresses who were friendly and attentive at all times.
Each dish we had from the menu were amazingly tasty.....we definitely will be back again and again to taste all the other dishes........and i've already recommended the venue to all my family and friends.
food was so tasty, the service was outstanding. We celebrated our daughters 18th birthday party and everyone enjoyed. We will definitely visit again
Primarily went for the Indian and wasn't disappointed. The menu is varied and occasionally strays from the brief but it's impossible to fault the quality of food nor the excellent service received. Highly recommended.
