Beautiful afternoon tea in a lovely setting. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic.
Lovely afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings for our daughters birthday.
Really enjoyable afternoon . Great food, great service and a lovely setting .
Food was good
Service was great
Good value for money
Lovely afternoon, spoilt only by the horrendous weather which impacted due to eating outside. Lovely touch that blankets were provided.
Brilliant afternoon tea, lovely setting and great food. Covid protocols all in place but didn’t hamper the experience.
The food & service were lovely, the walled garden is so pretty & was perfect for our special treat to celebrate our anniversary.... Luckily the weather was kind to us
Quality of tea, particularly, sandwiches, range and content dissappointing.
Venue good. Service excellent.
Lovely afternoon tea with great service. Children's choice was great. Lovely area to sit in and well spaced apart, very safe. We will be back soon. 😊
Beautiful setting with lovely quiet music. We experienced great service and a great range of menus were available.
Very disappointed with the tea and coffee, it was not very warm and asked for it after the prosecco which was not cold
Lovely but a bit chilly...my tea went cold. Maybe you could buy some tea cosies?
Had a lovely afternoon tea
Fantastic quality of food and customer service spot on and lovely setting. Would recommend
The food was good and the service absolutely exceptional. Unfortunately it was raining, windy and cold. To top it off there was also a hail storm, so eating al fresco with only small parasols over each table was not ideal. Sadly the weather took the shine off the experience but the staff kept us well supplied with tea refills to avoid hypothermia setting in. We would definitely book afternoon tea again, but not until inside dining is permitted.
A lovely experience , I would definitely do it again !
Delicious afternoon tea in a beautiful setting just shame it hailed and rained on our visit.
Having had afternoon tea at Doddington may times over the years I was disappointed this time. The music was loud disco type and we could hardly hear ourselves talk. It might be better to have pleasant background music for those having afternoon tea. When we eventually mentioned it to the waitress she did turn it down. The food was a tad dry suggesting it had been made up some time earlier. This I must say is not as usual but I am guessing the lack of customer volumes causes this. Sadly a disappointment .
I would say that the waitress was very courteous and helpful.
Really lovely, yummy food and friendly staff !
3 of us are in the secret garden; 1 vegan afternoon tea and two traditional. We all enjoyed it and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Limitless tea and a good choice of teas too.
The scones were delicious!
Lovely cakes and scones, nice sandwiches. The traditional afternoon tea was good, while those who had the savoury afternoon tea and the GF/dairy-free afternoon tea weren't as satisfied. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, the food variety was good and the ambiance too.
I took my husband and 2 friends for afternoon tea for our first visit to you, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you very much
A bit disappointed was taken to wrong table then asked to move, my husband ordered champagne but wasn't remembered by waitress so had to ask for it, was told we would be compensated but that didn't happen. Was expecting more savoury like sausage rolls, to much cake
Excellent afternoon tea traditional!.
Very COVID safe.
Amazing experience! The food was fresh and tasty and the service was very good! Will definitely be coming back!
We had the traditional afternoon tea, it was lovely and the selection of food excellent.
Very nice venue although a little cold and busy did have to wait more staff would have been better
Lovely atmosphere (very Covid safe). Pretty tables and yummy food. A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend.
It was very well managed and the food was amazing. Thankyou Doddington Hall
Great experience and I will be returning very soon with friends and family.
Setting gorgeous and staff attentive if a little serious - England adapting openings due to COVID-19 pandemic. Plenty of time for the afternoon tea with 90mins. Cakes gorgeous, disappointed with the vegetarian sandwich selection. Cheese, egg, cream cheese and houmous... there’s so much else that veggies would enjoy. Just replacing ham sandwich with houmous lacks imagination in my opinion. For this reason a little overpriced at £20 each.
Lovely atmosphere with very attentive staff, couldn’t ask for a nicer experience
A lovely setting and great value for money. The scone was particularly scrummy!
My only observation was that the staff were sometimes a little slow to circulate and see if the customers wanted a tea top up; however when we were able to get their attention, they were quick to respond.
Overall, I’ll def be booking again and brining along guests! Thanks to the Doddington team for a lovely afternoon.
An excellent priced afternoon tea with an option of a savoury platter and children’s tea. All eaten in the beautiful gardens and blankets provided on our chairs!
The challenge of covid was dealt with extreme professionalism, everything went
perfectly, the staff were spotless, helpful and friendly. The afternoon tea was delicious and plentiful there was even enough to take home to snack on later. The tea garden was the perfect setting to celebrate our anniversary. We will undoubtedly be visiting again soon.
Not good value for money. Savoury tea is the best value.
Brilliant service and yummy food! Lovely sitting outside
Lovely ambiance and setting. Good food but standard afternoon tea could do with bigger/ better traditional sponge ( it had flapjack/ bakewell/ small Victoria square/ tiny macaroon)
Also good quality on savoury board, maybe more garnish!
Overall nice but expensive.
Beautiful setting, great food. It was lovely to have a choice of Gluten and Dairy free too.
Service was brilliant, very attentive staff topping up tea and coffee pots.
