Asked for the Chef to do as he wanted and what was served was superb, all dishes and the wine paring was of the best.
Great food and service but no AC.
Always great every time we go.. such a hidden jewel in the area
Nicely located at quaint St. Katharine Docks; the location next to the water is perfect. We had a nice breeze the whole time. The table arrangements tend to emphasize large communal tables vs few individual tables. So, space is limited. Drinks were slow but generally good.
The menu online did not match the menu in the restaurant. The food was sharing style which seems to be in vogue when many small but pricey plates are offered. Prices varied quite a bit for each plate but would be generally considered high. In order to meet the waiter recommended standard of 4 plates per person, we would have had to order nearly the whole menu. In the end, we ordered four total and that was enough for the two of us. The menu is small and changing frequently from what we understand thus maybe the mismatch between online and in-store menu.
We ordered four dishes. The only dish that we would get again was the sashimi plate. The fish was fresh and tender.
All the other plates tasted rather bland and could have come from any deep fryer. The crab was fighting us with each bite, the single chicken leg for close to £20 was hard to approach, etc.
Overall, we believe Dokke is more targeted for people looking for dining-experience, all the things besides the food, rather than being concerned with the underlying food and value.
We would not recommend it for dining but for drinks and ambience. There is simply too large a disconnect between food, taste, and price.
Amazing! The food was out of this world, this small restaurant is in a lovely setting looking over the marina. Everything about the evening was perfect, the staff were so helpful and friendly. The dishes were explained to us and the standard of presentation and above all taste was exceptional I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back again in the future.
Amazing food and service would highly recommend.
Brunch was incredibly disappointing. The food looks wonderful but the taste was very average. The noodles were really over cooked and the broth didn’t have any taste. The salmon hash was also not very tasty at all. The best was the charcoal sharing bread.
Tasteless food, bad service (people always walking around you never feel like properly relaxing). Volcano egg was too spicy.
Presentation is very nice, plates look amazing but no flavor
Great restaurant. The food is novel, unique and interesting. I strongly recommend you give this place a try. The vibe is a relaxed one and the venue is not at all bad either. have a little look.
Creative food in a simple and welcoming environment. Lots of little taste explosions.
What a great restaurant for brunch - delicious food in a lovely setting. I'll be back soon and I've raved about it to all my friends and work colleagues. A+++
Very tasty and different food. Almost had the whole restaurant to ourselves! Went with friends and a 8 months old baby. We will be back.
The food was amazing how the service was below par with waiters taking plates away before we had finished. Could also do we nicer bathroom
Really disappointed. A friend visited this restaurant one of my friends was poorly and asked for a hot water with lemon, while the rest of us ordered coffees...second eye roll, the waiter was clearly not impressed with her request. The waiter then took our food order, without writing a single thing down. When my friend questioned whether there was avocado in a dish (she doesn't like it), he had no idea & made my friend feel like she's was causing him a huge inconvenience by asking..along with a myriad of eye-rolling at her. Our drinks arrived all fine. We ordered to begin with a sharing dish to come before our mains. After waiting for 40minutes, I enquired if our food would be along any time soon to which I got the most sarcastic fake smile, followed by eye-roll response, that the food would be along soon. 10 minute after that, a disappointing array of meals arrived, all at once, despite us ordering the sharer first. The meal described to come with smoked salmon, contained none. The flamboyant looking cloud eggs, completely tasteless. I must admit, the sharer bread was lovely, as was my personal meal of waffle and buttermilk chicken, but my friends left still hungry (as did I) and thoroughly dissatisfied, and with a really bad taste in my mouth about the entire experience. The food is a personal preference thing however I found the service at this establishment to be absolutely abysmal, really quite rude, and really lets the place down.
Great meal in a great location
Loved it, will return!
We came here expecting something new and interesting and we were not disappointed♥️
Lovely setting by the docks. The front window is wonderfully sunny in the morning, and there's also a terrace to the side, beside the water, where they have tables under umbrellas - there are blankets and heaters too so it's a nice place to sit all year round. The food is incredibly scrumptious and inventive. Try the eggs benedict, which is like nothing I've had before and DELICIOUS. And the coffee is off the charts, the best coffee in London, strong and balanced.
What a lovely find. Chilled vibes and great food in a nice cosy atmosphere in the lovely St. Katharine's docks.
Perfect tasting menu, as always
Excellent food which was well presented and a great location, a real ambiance.
An amazing dining experience. Beautifully presented & well prepared food.
Warm & welcoming service staff.
Really enjoyed our meal. It is for special occasions as it is rather pricey. It is a tiny restaurant which adds to the flair.
Excellent meal enjoyed by everyone. Knock Michelin Star restaurants out the water for similar cuisine. Loved the flower to awaken the taste buds! Incredible experience had by all.
All the food are artworks! They all look very carefully decorated and their flavor actually tasted interesting. The ambience is really nice with bright sunshine in. If you expect good environment and good looking food, here is the choice. But don't expect too much on the taste of the food.
Very creative delicious food. Service a bit slow and didn’t ask if we wanted anything more before closed kitchen. Great outdoor area with views of docks.
Really enjoyable 'bottomless brunch' experience at this lovely spot on St Katharine Docks. The food was delicious & the prose could flowed. Slight disadvantage is the trek to the public toilets but didn't detract too much from our enjoyment
Always a great experience! Food looks so pretty and tastes delicious!!
Fantastic evening here. The food was fantastic, best mackerel I've ever eaten and the rib was phenomenal. All the dishes had something special about them. The staff were relaxed and friendly and it was just such a delightful evening. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, cracking wee spot next to the water.
Fantastic as always ! I’ve been a few times now and the food is always beautifully presented and absolutely delicious
Food is so amazing and unique and the value is great! Go here!
I was very impressed with the food at Dokke. It's not often that I leave a restaurant thinking the food over-delivered to my expectations going in. This place certainly did. A very relaxed, laid back vibe, great location at the dock with views of the water many a landmark. The open plan kitchen is a really fun feature and diners do get to see the masters at work.
I will be going back to Dokke again and I have happily recommended it to my friends.
Absolutely love it ! The chef made the food with passion and love.
Very good, informal business lunch. Guests really liked it. Loads of great flavours and interesting variety of dishes. Lovely chocolate brownie to finish.
Myself and a group of friend's visited Dokke for the first time for the bottomless brunch and it was lovely! The service was attentive and we never had an empty glass! The food was amazing and the added surprises were a great treat! I'd definitely recommend - particularly on a sunny day so you can sit outside!
Good for brunch with inventive food and cool atmosphere. Just feels a little crammed.
Outstanding food, service & wine. Will definitely be returning!
Excellent as always.
Omg i love this place...the omlette is amazing...try the crazy flower bud (need to ask for it) fab service...fab views
We've been to Dokke a few times and it's always a wonderful surprise! The Chef is very imaginative and the food is very special! Definitely worth going on a regular basis as the menu changes based on seasonal ingredients!
