Service was very good and attentive, although we did have to chase up an order of table water. Food was ok.
I found the cost of drinks to be excessive, £4 for a small can of beer and £7 for a glass of Prosecco. Maybe I just haven't been out enough?
Very nice meal and pizza, plenty of choice for good value. Would return.
Very nice, our first meal out for a while. Well spaced out with helpful and friendly staff. Food was lovely and they were happy for my children to box up and take home the pizza which they could not finish.
Great pizza service good cannot go wrong top marks
Excellent food , lovely restaurant with amazing staff. Very polite and accommodating even with my one year old son
Will definitely be visiting again and recommend the restaurant to family and friends
Thank you Dough & Co , Halstead.
Third visit, really lovely place to eat. Will be back very soon.
A fantastic local restaurant with a great range of wood fired pizzas and yummy pastas. Service was great everyone was very friendly and polite.
The ambience in the restaurant was brilliant! Definitely will be going back/getting a takeaway again soon!
Best pizza base I’ve had in a long time. Toppings were generous, staff really polite & attentive. A welcome new restaurant to our town.
Great food great service really enjoyed the experience
Was lovely, I can’t wait to go again after lockdown.
Had to send my calzone back TWICE because it was stone cold inside - eventually gave up that and ended up having a bowl of pasta after my husband had finished eating his pizza which was disappointing. Although we were not charged for our mains - a rubbish meal out still ended up costing £46 for 2 bottles of wine (because we were there so long after the cold food saga) and a shared starter!
Will not be returning there in a hurry!
Food was great and service too! Nothing that I can complain about which is always a good thing.
Gorgeous food and attentive staff. Will definitely be going again
Place was lovely staff was lovely food was grate but the price was expensive for a pizza
Took my mum here for her birthday she absolutely loved it great food and great staff will definitely going back to my local halstead branch when lockdown is over
We called in Saturday at 5-30 , staff were very good , starters and mains were very nice size portions. Deserts were a bit disappointing as only 4 choices and we asked for the cheesecake and they had sold out . I asked for a coffee and the machine was broken so I asked for a brandy and didn’t have any so ended up with a coke . We enjoyed the evening but needs a few things sorted out regarding menu and having enough
How about serving coffee? Other than that, it was outstanding 👍. We will return.
Lovely food served promptly and great service reasonably priced.
First visit and thoroughly enjoyed it
Excellent service and food was lovely
Wii be back
Had a really tasty lunch, the pizzas were excellent, really light base and delicious toppings, I had the Spanish one which was particularly good with a super food salad as a side. Our waiter was really attentive and polite. We’ll definitely be back.
Our first time dining food was delicious and fresh. Great wine and family friendly.
Definitely will be going back
First time in halstead on sunday and probably the last. This was down to the waitress and not having any tea or coffee. Understand it is covid but waitress asked us to pass all the plates ourselves. She went missing and was chatting in a corner talking to friends. When it came to my sons birthday cake, my matches were flung on the side( which I took back myself) and they had binned the cake box. Waitress offered to get it out the bin for us to take cake home! I had to walk around the restaurant to find her to pay our bill. It then took 5 attempts as she couldn't get her pad to work. Very poor service. Sudbury much better but do not sell pasta unfortunately. This restaurant also needs to provide coffee/tea going forward, perhaps buy a kettle?
Lovely food and venue, only disappointment was they had run out of pinot grigio and one of the deserts on a small desert menu. We will return a the same.
Very welcoming upon arrival and new staff were being trained and were doing well only real fault was tomato sauce served with my calzone could have been warm and not cold but other than that was an enjoyable experience.
Very nice restaurant, food delicious, good service.
What a lovely restaurant, great pizzas, really nice and friendly staff, quick and efficient service, we will be going back again soon.
Great service, lovely food. Will return try out the pasta
Couldn’t fault the friendliness of the staff but one waiter picked up 2 glasses with his fingers inside the glasses before giving them to us.Put us off a bit. The food was good and will probably comeback but think 11% service charge is way too much. Need to add some child friendly desserts too.
Lovely meal ... especially as I am not a pizza eater.
Helpful attentive staff. Great service
If I can give one negative it will be the accessible toilet door ... very hard to shut and lock .. and then hard to unlock and get out.
Other than that I cant fault the place
We booked a table for 8:30 on Saturday on the first weekend. Upon arrival there was a poorly managed queue outside and general confusion about where to go for collections or eating in and some had been waiting over half an hour for booked tables. After getting inside we were advised the table wasn’t ready as they had overlapped, so we waited inside. We waited for around 25 minutes whilst more people gathered, unable to adhere to social distancing guidelines as the waiting area was so small and next to other tables. The chap on the front desk was jumping from person to person, and while apologetic was clearly overwhelmed and unable to focus on more than one person at a time. Frustrating as we could clearly see a table ready from about 3 minutes after we went inside. Eventually we were sat down as close to 9 as makes no difference and ordered food. The drinks orders were misplaced and rushed when they arrived (no glass) and everything felt rushed as the restaurant has to close at ten. The food I cannot fault, both in terms of speed and quality. The pizzas and garlic bread we had were delicious, with plenty of toppings and cooked to perfection. Whilst there are no sizes, the portions from a shared garlic bread and a pizza each were enough to leave us feeling full. As the restaurant calmed down toward closing time the service was much more attentive, but ultimately could not be recovered from the shocking start. I appreciate that an opening weekend in a small town will always bring teething issues, but with no less than 14 staff on hand things should have been handled better, especially the social distancing aspect. Also a bit of a kick to have an 11% service charge to be added after all this too.
In summary, fantastic food but shocking service. Worth a visit outside of peak times but don’t bother on fri/sat night until they have sorted the issues. Also didn’t see a track and trace barcode anywhere which is a concern.
The food was lovely, the staff were very polite and helpful. We felt that the seating was too close, not the recommended two meters apart, and I would prefer not to have the surcharge added to the bill I like to pay my own tip.
Apart from that it was a lovely evening and we are looking forward to going again.
Very busy, very slow to get our first drink, but we obviously realise it had only just opened, hopefully in a few weeks everything will be running more smoothl, will definitely be going back
Service was extremely poor and very slow as many servers were doing nothing. Food was mediocre and had average value, not worth the long wait.
The food was so good! It was all freshly made in front of us, it exceeded my expectations this place is much more than just another pizza chain place. We will definitely return.
We had garlic bread and vegetarian pizza and the protein one. Although the garlic bread was oily, it was delicious. Both pizzas were delicious.
We went on the opening night and the waiters were a little nervous they did a great job.
