Dragon Inn Club
Dragon Inn Club is the most secret hideaway venue featuring ancient dark wood, bamboo, authentic ornaments and décor, recreating the voyage of the famous Silk Road.
The open kitchen on the ground floor is a casual dining area, where you can pop in for our signature dim sum basket, Sichuan noodles or street market style small plates. On the lower ground floor, diners can enjoy a drink at our cocktail bar and choose to eat at either the ‘Dragon Room’ or in the hot pot ‘Temple Room’. For something more intimate, there’s a Private Dining Suite for groups and eight two-seated Private Caves along the ‘Silk Passage’ to choose, individually named. The cocktail bar offers an unique variety of signature drinks showcasing the Dragon Inn Club experience. But while the food might be a modern take on Sichuan cooking, the décor, which features antique furniture and accessories imported from China, makes you feel like you have stepped into 8th century China.
Shh, an absolute hidden gem. Living next to Queensway, and having gone to all the usual top rated Chinese restaurants eg Royal China, Duddell’s, Hakkasan, Bright Courtyard, Imperial treasure, I can tell you this homely little place in a side street near Victoria Station wins hands down. Perfectly seasoned yet juicy crispy aromatic duck, lobster ginger scallion with the sweetest noodles ever, and lots of new offerings like cold okra salad with soy and ginger plus frog legs, sweatbreads, ok, I didn’t try those last two but I’m sure it shows the authenticity of the place! Lots of Sichuan dishes, steamboat, plus the more familiar but still equally executed Cantonese. On the second day after lockdown the menu was understandably somewhat shorter, but nothing was done half heartedly and everything tasted very fresh. Charming waiter kept offering us complementary items, which was totally unnecessary. I will be coming back again as thankfully it’s just outside the congestion zone and you should too, it’s precisely these small local temples to hospitality and honest hard work that most need and deserve your support right now.
Excellent food, justifying I think the above-average prices.
Great food but no actual dragons at the club. 4 out of 5.
Friendly waiting staff; very authentic food.
Incredible service – there were no hot pot tables when we arrived despite my booking but the manager was amazing and helped us find a great table quickly. Food was outstanding and fresh, and the staff are impeccable and friendly. Highly recommended – wonderful gem of a find!
Always lovely food and I love the ambience here. Low lighting, quiet, beautiful wooden walls, very nice sake.
Great food, the coconut chicken hotpot is amazing!
Authentic Chinese - approved by a friend who is from Shanghai, also a gourmet. Great food and atmosphere. Try here if you like Chinese food! There’s no food you’ll feel like ‘so-so’.
Hot pot is not what I expected and it is supper expensive.
Go for the hotpot! So happy to hear they had a vegan hotpot option, which was delicious and spicy and full of exciting veg. Perfect sharing food and much more interesting than ordering individual dishes. The staff are super friendly, we ended up going back a week later to bring more friends!
Excellent hotpot and warm, friendly and professional staff.
Ordered two starters, one comes last. the other never comes and i have to cancel. food tastes good but can be quite oily and salty.
Food are not very fresh
Absolutely wonderful food and service! Te Iberian Ham with chilli was just perfect!
Food was good, hotpot is a must try if you fancy something different.
Such an amazing and comfortable atmosphere. Can go with friend, or as a group, but definitely romantic for a date as well.
The food was amazing, the staff were so helpful and polite.
The manager was also very kind and friendly.
Will definitely be going back there.
We had a lovely meal which was a great experience and added to the enjoyment of a weekend in London.
Downhill. Menu changed and chef clearly not the same. Value for money is terrible.
food did not disappoint! the hot bowl rice with duck and seafood was AMAZING. service was not as great as it was on previous visits. the drinks took a very long time to come and no one checked on us once the food had arrived to see if we needed anything else. that was a shame because we definitely would have had more drinks!
This is the best restaurant I have ever eat in London. the food is very delicious ! i would like to recommend it to all my friends.
We chose this place because they were open later than other restaurants (we came here after being to the theater). We got in for the final seating of the night, and the place was quiet. This is a huge restaurant, so I imagine they can handle very large parties. Service was outstanding. The food was very good. The fried tofu was fantastic! So was the sizzling beef served in a hot stone dish - perfectly cooked! The whole sea bass was also perfectly cooked. My only wish is that that some of the dishes would have a little more punch with the spices. Otherwise, a very good meal!
Took forever to get food
Excellent restaurant. Great service and food and a nice ambience too. Will go back.
Had a family group of 12 for a celebration and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Food was really very good and will definitely be going back .. The decor and ambience feels like you are in Asia.. and we didn’t even try the hotpot tables which look great fun .. either for a date or for families.. quite an intimate and exotic setting.
Had lunch in Saturday, not busy, food came quickly and tasty.
Went as a group of 3 and everything we ordered was delicious! Slightly clunky service but made up for it in enthusiasm and the quality of food and decor - will be going again.
Great food and friendly staff. Good value for money.
Excellent food and atmospheric surroundings. Convenient location too!
The decor and ambience of the venue was the best selling point. The food was delicious and varied as well.
I took my husband here for his birthday along with my two year old daughter - we absolutely loved it! We were not sure what to expect, and went with an open mind, and we are so glad we found this place - just a year open in the area, the downstairs part is really great! we had a fab big round table at the very back, all other customers at the time were Chinese which was a good endorsement! staff very attentive especially the older man who was entertaining also for our child, and they didn't mind her also running around and playing with the other children that she met there. We had the dim sum basket to share to start followed by a sea bass hot pot which wow was spicy but it was amazing! I'm seriously thinking of booking here for my 40th bday dinner with friends, the downstairs also has a separate bar, highly recommend it!
Nice place to chat with friends.
Not many choices for desserts, only 3 options if I remembered correctly, one of which is not available. Would be better if have more choices, especially some Chinese desserts.
Really pleased! Food was insane and came quickly, lovely staff, only issue we had was that our cocktails took a long time to come, but we were compensated by them taking one of the two cocktails of the menu which was fine. Would 100% reccomend.
