We live nearby the Duchess and have been there many times, including with a group of people for my birthday. We love the friendly vibe, the staff are always great and we enjoy having the sport on in the background. We have been for loads of Sunday roasts and loved it (massive portions and delicious!), but the last time the food was nowhere near the same standard. We're hoping it was a blip and will try again soon!
Prices are very good and affordable, Sunday roast was decent but the meat was not very good and dry
Visited here on Saturday and it was quiet. Very friendly chap that served us. Food was good and they looked after us. Thanks Danny for the work, great time.
Came here to catch a view of the Battersea Power Station (Pink Floyd fan) before the high rises go up. Even though the outside terrace was closed because they were preparing for their comedy night, the staff allowed us to grab a quick photo. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The house bitter was a wonderful surprise. Loved the cat and thanks for a great meal!
Went for Sunday lunch with friends. Food and service were good and we could have a good conversation - not noisy or too busy. Well maintained, traditional pub setting.
Good Sunday Roast - everything perfectly cooked - portions are so large that we share one between two and still have plenty.
Our favourite spot for a roast dinner in London. Generous portions, loads of veg, service with a smile, quirky and authentic pub surroundings. We love it!
Thoroughly lovely Sunday Lunch. Great food - Very friendly knowledgable staff, couldn’t have been more helpful.
Great service bar staff lovely and friendly. Food was great and great atmosphere.
This is the second time we have had an excellent sunday lunch. If I had to think of a negative then I would say my meal could have been hotter. But we will be back.
Had Sunday lunch @The Duchess with a group of friends and we were all impressed with how lovely and relaxed our experience was. We were allocated a great banquette table where we were able to carry out quiet conversation and each one of us really rated our food choices. The pub itself is beautiful with lofty ceilings, tinkly chandeliers, sophisticated decorating touches (paintwork, tiles, mural features) and an inviting terrace out back. And staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. None of us are local to the area but we are defintiely coming back!
A decent, traditional pub with great food. It doesn't get overly busy.
Lovely bar, great space, good beers, lovely helpful staff, very nice Sunday lunch but food could have been hotter - we'll be back !!
Lovely pork belly starter followed by well cooked fish & chips. Huge portions!
A really nice pub with friendly service and good food in the Battersea area.
What a great place - brilliant decor, good drinks and the best pub food I've ever had.
Good service, friendly people too.
The cooking was inventive and spot-on - not quirky, and served on (yes) plates.
I certainly intend to go again soon, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
Worth a journey.
We were non-locals attending a gig at nearby Battersea Barge and wanted to meet friends for beer and Sunday lunch beforehand. Saw good reviews for this pub on TripAdviser. So glad we chose this place. Good value Sunday roast, with generous portion sizes, and cooked/presented to high standard. Nice local pub with good choice of ales, character surroundings, friendly and efficient staff.
Had a meal prior to seeing a play in the function room. The food was very good and at a fair price. We thought it was a nice place with a good atmosphere.
We came as a family group of 7 of us for a 30th birthday lunch on Sunday. What a great find! Right opposite the Power Station site, it's a good location and beautifully fitted out. Lovely staff and whopping roast lunches, much better than we have had at much more "must visit" places. And great value to boot. Lovely secluded garden. It won't stay quiet for long. Can recommend the walk round the Park and onto the riverfront to walk it off afterwards.
We went here because it was Australia Day and I heard they were selling Chicken Parmi's. Food was excellent. Service, not so much. I do like this pub though and once the Power Station is finished across the road this place is going to be so busy!
