The service was not very good. We had been seated for circa 15 mins before being asked if we'd like to order drinks.

When we did order drinks it was another 10 mins before they were brought to us.

After we had our mains we were not offered the desert menu. After 15 mins we asked for the bill and left.

The restaurant was busy - this was early evening so there was no excuse for the poor service.

Different way to have you brunch on top of a waffle instead of toast. Not as much choice as other places

Disappointing quite bland food apart from all the salt. Never been so thirsty after a meal before. No way near as good as the proper one in Heron Tower.

Went for lunch--having been to the Duck and Waffle on Liverpool Street, was half-expecting the same ambiance, forgetting I was in the heart of the touristland. Had the Duck and Waffle for the first time; it was surprisingly good. Service was efficient. Definitely a good place to start before heading off to see the sights about the Strand and Covent Garden.

I am giving 4 starts because I have expected a bit more in terms of design and overall look (maybe it s fault of Duck and waffle in Liverpool street). WE wanted to get there, but could not get a table on such a short notice and went to this brunch instead.

Everything else was great:
- booking a table -easy, literally found the place just an hour before reservation
- we were late because of traffic, but staff did not give us any problems because of this
- we warned our waitress, that my friend is in rush and she had a plain to catch, so we got our food relatively quick
- it was my first time in Duck and Waffle and this weird food combination was scaring me a bit, but was actually super tasty, i am not fun of duck as well, but this one was cooked so nice, that anyone would like it, i guess )
- watermelon cocktail was very refreshing too
- waitress was very friendly and polite

I would come back, but probably will try one in Liverpool street first, to satisfy my views expectations :)

The service was quick and efficient and I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Great place.
Only problem with the menu is everything is too sweet! We struggled to find much that was not made with sugar, syrup etc. The actual duck (on the waffle) was tougher than I remember it was last time - usually succulent, but this time it was over crisped like it had been waiting under the pass for too long.
Wine selection was superb and service was smiley and friendly and super helpful.

A great breakfast place right by Piccadilly circus, d&w local offers a lovely selection of food.
There were only 3 occupied tables early in the morning so it lacks atmosphere in the week. Service was good. I think the staff could improve their welcome to dining guests.

The food was lovely but I would have liked a bit more food on my plate. We had duck and waffle, duck wings (amazing sauce), Garlic bread (won't get that again just pitta bread with garlic sauce), Prawns (healthy size prawns), Fries (these were nice). The deserts were just average, the brownies should be served warm but are cold and stiff. I would definitely go back just to have duck and waffle again and suggest everyone give it a try. Service was fast and we didn't wait around for our food long maybe because it wasn't that busy. Happy Hour cocktails could have a bit more of a selection but can't complain £5 for a cocktail.

My first experience going to Duck and Waffle. Portion sizes aren't great but reasonable. Service was OK, staff were keen to take our main course order but on completion never offered dessert even though sat there for about 20mins. Also had to ask 3 times for the bill

Duck and Waffle is a great choice for a weekday lunch! Really central, nice venue and delicious food.

We shared 3 small plates and a snack between 2 of us, which was perfect for a weekday work lunch. The coal roasted prawns were a stand out, the avocado and harrisa which accompanied them was the perfect combo. The pork in the bao buns was great, loads of flavour but I don't think deep frying bao buns adds anything, much prefer the fluffy originals. The bacon wrapped dates is actually just one bacon wrapped date which is a bit misleading, although it was quite a large date - it was good but the size of the date was a bit off putting.

There was loads more on the menu that i wanted to try.

Overall it was a really enjoyable lunch and definitely recommend.

My second time at Duck & Waffle Local - and sadly this was a very different experience. Duck tenders were dry, confit duck was pretty dry too. Not really up to standard. The team were very good and did take the duck tenders off the bill.

A fun place to have lunch post theatre with a variety of food options. We took our children who are adventurous eaters and whilst they didn’t jump at many of the menu options they did eat lunch! The polenta balls with truffle mayo were a highlight along with the Foie Gras Crème Brûlée (although it needs to be shared as is super rich!) and service was fast and friendly - ideal for its location.

Went for vegetarian options mostly. Portions were good but some dishes were very 'rich'. This is D&W Local which is more a café than restaurant. I believe the Heron Tower restaurant is much better and may try it sometime. Not bad for a quick bite before theatre.

My sister recommended this restaurant when she was in London last week. It had been a long day. We made reservations and didn’t have to wait to be seated., but that was probably due to it being a little after the dinner hour. The staff was so friendly. Service was awesome. Very attentive to our needs. The food was a little above average. I really like their cherry cheesecake (light and airy) and biscuit assortment.
