Really delicious food and such a lovely calm relaxed atmosphere
Always love this place
Fantastic food but the service let down a little bit sadly. The waiters were great very attentive but the manager was arrogant - refused us to take some food away. Something could be worked on in the future.
Celebrated my birthday here and had the famous duck and dim sum. Everything was great and food was delicious. Wish the prices were cheaper as it’s quite steep. Will definitely return for more duck!
We were so excited to try this venue after having heard many positive reviews, however all food had lack of good flavour, all sauce were far too sweet, huge disappointment.
Wine was lovely but many good quality/reasonable wine were sold out (red wine). Service and atmosphere were good so it’s really shame. We won’t go back.... we paid approx £290 for 2 people.
Only one very poor element that made me see ref- Suggested 15% service added to bill. Considering the already very high prices - scandalous!
Very awkward with client present to ask for it to be amended.
As always a very pleasant evening that the Duddell‘s with great food. I will be back. My guests enjoyed it as well.
The venue is cool, the food is delicious if a bit pricey but the service is indifferent. No smiles, no engagement. It's almost like you're invconveniencing them - like it's midnight, you're the last customers and they just want to go home. But it was half full and 8pm. So if you want a private dinner with no interruptions and just good food, it works for that!
Maybe because its was a Tuesday night but it was pretty quiet and seems to have a lot of tables in a small space and the tables are small and when you have a few dishes if your sharing you run out of space, got to say great cocktail at the bar, glass of champagne i had could of been a bit colder and also the bottle of white wine the same, out of the 5 dishes we had the peking duck was good and a pork dish but the rest didn’t stay in my mind. Will maybe give it a go again on a Friday/ Saturday night.
Delicious food but minuscule portions and super expensive.
Friendly staff, and great food and service.
Restaurant great position for Borough Market and the Shard too.
Fantastic food, authentic and spectacularly beautiful
Gorgeous building, lovely staff, delicious food, pretty pricey!
Went for the lunch time menu and it was absolutely tasty. Good service and really good food. Definitely come back again
Incredible food - great service and lovely birthday treat.
Great lunch offer with a good selection of their foods available. Want to go back for a full menu one day
Staff very pollite and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone visiting London.
First time trying this restaurant (I wasn’t aware of its existence until a few weeks ago) - it’s not cheap, that’s for sure but gosh, the food is top quality.
Good food. Beautiful decoration.
Food is perfect, just service need more improve!
Far too expensive, too quick, service not up to what is charged especially with 12.5% added on top
Duddell's is a gorgeous restaurant - trendy with excellent service. The food was a good quality.
Second time here and food outstanding. Quite pricey but worth it. Atmosphere buzzy but you can hear your companions without having to shout. Very sophisticated decor. Hope to return soon.
A little pricey, but food and service are superb. The restaurant is in a historic building and the decoration is classy.
Fantastic service, we had 1 child and 1 infant. Baby seat was prepared beforehand and table selection was very helpful. Staff are ok point at all times and food was perfect.
Most amazing food as usual. We had ordered a large selection of vegetable dishes this time & they were all exquisite
It was a Sunday lunchtime - I was taking my parents out to say A huge thank you and Duddles has been highly recommended for amazing dim sum and food on a Sunday. The atmosphere was severely lacking. The service was awful. We had to ask two or three times for everything and when the waiters did come they did not seem happy. We were constantly told we were ordering too much which resulted in not enough duck for us. And some really lacklustre rice to go with it. We had the distinct impression they were trying to get rid of us quickly. And half way through our dim sum we were told the kitchen was closing so if we wanted anything else we had to order then - when I asked for the menu to see the waiter said ‘you’ve got duck coming why do you need it’. I was really disappointed - a really special occasion wasted on this restaurant.
As always, amazing food. It always is! This has to be the best Chinese food in London, surely. Love the room as well and staff are great. Much, much better than the Chinese restaurant just around the corner at The Shard.
Best Chinese food I’ve had in London. Dimsum was exquisite and the duck was very well done.
Very friendly host/manager, great atmosphere. I even got a free dessert for my birthday ;)
Duddell's serves well made Chinese food but it is far far away from the price they charge for it. The dim sum are fine, but extremely average and similar to what I'd expect to find in a regular neighborhood place. The mains are good, but not more than that. Definitely not worth the high prices they charge.
I had such high expectations of this place due to the hype around it from food bloggers and it's two Michelin star status. However I arrived to find the place quite dull and the food very boring. I was also there with a friend and I found that several times waiters interrupted our conversation. It is fine to announce that there is food but to ask continuously if "we're ok" or if the "food is ok" is a bit excessive. Also found that the range of dim sum available in the Sunday menu is disappointing, and I have had better dim sum at my regular place in China Town. I understand that this is elevated Chinese food, however I found the quality quite low. I expected so much from this restaurant but left disappointed with no desire to return.
Delicious Peking duck in two courses. I would also definitely recommend the beef tenderloin. The Service was excellent, the location special and cool.
So far good !
The service was very poor - the table was left uncleared for an hour. Our wine bottle was left unmarked in a wine chiller which meant that it was served to another table of 6 that had ordered the same kind. We pointed this out to a waiter who was adamant this wasn't the case and was aggressive about the matter. It took 3 conversations and a lot of to and fro before they gave us a glass of wine to replace the wine that had been given away. Terrible surly service from all but one of the waiting staff.
Not quite how I remember it from when it first opened
Second time here, on both occasions the food has been superb, very flavoursome and the smell of each dish is so appetising. Staff are very good too. Highly recommended.
Met a few friends there for lunch. All agreed that everyting - food, service and ambience were of a very quality.
amazing food, will certainly be back to try the dim sum menu
Tea smoked chicken was over cooked, disappointing as a signature dish. Appears as though is cooked again in the “en papillote” bag for effect as it arrives on the table.
Dumplings were nice along with the kai lan and duck (another signature dish) was ok but at this level and price skin should be like glass and fat rendered down.
Very expensive also for the quality of food.
