The calamari was overcooked to the point of hard/chewy, but we ate it all still. My steak was cooked medium well instead of medium but still had good flavor
Absolutely the best prime rib around....
Duke's has excellent food. Although it is expensive, it is definitely worth a special night out.
Food was not as good as expected and prices were above average. Server was good, but didn't know the facts about the meals and drinks.
It was a wonderful meal and a wonderful evening. The waiter, John, was delightful and very friendly. I did wonder, quite honestly, how any restaurant could tun out of one of the main ingredients of their weekly special for that day by 6:30, but the substitution worked very well and the dish didn’t suffer. I can only assume that was a fluke due to some unanticipated occurrence in the kitchen. Overall, it was very good and I would recommend this restaurant.
John who served us did an excellent job . Live music was good.
First Time at Dukes was very happy with everything, Service and Food Quality were both Very Good - Will definitely go back.
Very good food and service.
Very good food
We went to Dukes to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was excellent and we were seated in a nice private booth. Terri was our server and she was terrific! We both ordered filets and they were cooked to our liking. We shared a Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. Both had great flavors! Terri even comped our dessert, carrot cake, since it was our anniversary!
Thank you! We will definitely be back!
Overpriced food that was just ok
Always a great experience at Dukes! Terry G’s service was impeccable, and she even remembered each guests name. Dukes is always one of our “go to” places for our special occasions and even every day dining!
My wife and I visited Duke's while on a quick anniversary getaway to Rivers Casino. This was our "special" anniversary meal.
We had a 7:45 reservation and waited about 5 minutes after checking in with the hostess to be seated. After being seated it took about 15 minutes to be acknowledged by our waiter. It was obvious that the restaurant was short staffed but the 15 minutes gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted to drink and eat.
My pre-dinner cocktail was the NY Sour. HIGHLY recommended. Perfectly balanced and delicious! I had the fried lobster appetizer which was amazing. Just perfect. My wife had the Caesar salad which I had a bite of and it was very good.
Entrées took quite a while to come out. Both my wife and I had the 8oz filet, cooked medium. I opted for the "Oscar Style" and I am so glad I did. This took what was already an amazing filet and brought it to the next level. The crab was tender and flavorful, a great addition to the tender filet. We had the double butter mashed potatoes and sautéed wild mushrooms. Both sides were excellent. With my entrée I had a glass of Conundrum Red Blend, a perfect accompaniment to the steak. We were asked about any special occasions when we made a reservation. Since we mentioned it was our anniversary they gave us a complimentary (huge) slice of cheesecake for dessert. What a nice touch!
There was absolutely nothing to fault about the food. One of the best meals we have had in quite some time. Regarding the service, the individual workers are doing the best they can given the circumstances and the fact the place was obviously short staffed. Our waiter Terrance was an absolute rock star with what he was able to accomplish, just one man doing so much. He really seemed to care about our experience. Unfortunately, the behavior I saw from other guests was disappointing. Lots of rudeness directed toward the staff when they are doing the best they can given the circumstance.
Dukes Chophouse gets a big A+ from me!
Ribeye was excellent. Had a side of creamed spinach. Blue point oysters and shrimp cocktail were so delicious. A nice bottle of red. Perfect meal.
Had an amazing dinner the steak I ordered was absolutely gorgeous. Our waiter was great very attentive. Over all a great experience!
Lobster tails came out raw. Twice !!
On the seafood spectacular meal.
Said forget it. They comped us two drinks.
Never had that happen before. The waiter was shocked when we showed the tails .. twice ..
Perfect food, great service, wonderful ambience.
short on wait staff - waiter was rushing around. table by piano was too loud and music wasnt anything to enjoy
Very good steaks and fish order.
Fries are lacking. Nothing special , McDonald’s fries .
No steak house fries. And add a baked potato option.
Overall it was ok. Not outstanding and not horrible, just ok. Server was rather dry and not very personable. Food was decent but not worth the cost. My side came out 10 minutes before my entree. For the price you can definitely find better options in the area.
Arrived a few minutes early for reservation and it was not busy.
Seated immediately but waited 20 minutes for our waitress.
Ordered drinks and appetizer. Appetizer took another 35 minutes & drinks which were also slow were about gone when appetizer arrived and we even had to ask where appetizer was just to get it.
Ordered main food and second drink. Waited another 15 minutes for drink which was WRONG and not what was ordered (same drink as first mind you)
When food arrived 2 of 3 were hot (burgers) but the so called staple of a $41 filet mignon was NOT and my girlfriend refused to eat it.It was unlike any filet mignon we have gotten elsewhere and a HUGE disappointment!
ALL additions to any burgers / steaks are a la carte so nothing is included with the entree and any are ordered they are outrageously over-priced!
Waitress never checked on us during our meal
to see how we were doing at any time after placing main entree order.
After over 2 hours time total and already done with “meal” the manager (we assume) appeared and asked how things were.
We told her about lack of service throughout and demanded the steak be removed from the bill as well as second drink which was not what was ordered. She did offer a replacement drink “ on her” but that was wrong as well!
She apologized for our disappointment but when the bill came the second replacement drink was still on the bill.
Needless to say the tip we left was very small reflecting the unsatisfactory ordeal overall.
We are frequent customers to MANY local area restaurants but Duke’s Chophouse overall is a major disappointment and we will NOT return.
I advise anyone considering this “restaurant” to avoid doing so. The food is nothing to rave about whatsoever. This establishment is VERY overpriced and you would be smart to avoid it. It is NOT high end dining and the overall service and quality is far from what they advertise to be. They would be better served re-thinking their overall business
Staff is the best! Food is fantastic and Terry and Terry are awesome!
Great! Server Rana, manager and hostess staff were wonderful! food was delicious. my guests were impressed!
Our server Bill was wonderful. The food came out fast and tasted great!
Food was great..as well as prices.. server was excellent
I went for my first Mothers Day dinner and they were out of a few items for a 6 pm dinner. Very disappointed that they didn't plan better for the holiday crowd.
We had and excellent meal and the service was exceptional. All of the good was fantastic steaks cooked perfectly and our server was very efficient and friendly. This was my husbands first experience and it will not be our last. There is a good vibe in there too.
This was a Mother’s Day dinner for my Mom whose 83, my wife and sister in law. We were happy to have a table in the back area which is much quieter in the casino. The food was phenomenal and our waitress made the entire evening a delight. She was pleasant and patient and made our dinner very enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
Again cold food really Dukes I can’t figure it out. We thought we would give it another try thinking things would have changed. They were not busy for a Friday night. We had to wait 30 min for our dessert 2 slices of cake they told us the kitchen was behind.
Excellent experience for my daughters birthday. Absolutely planning to go again!!
We have been to Duke's several times and this was the first time the food was not exceptional. I ordered Prime rib medium rare and it was served medium well swimming in a watery au jus. My husband's pork was supposed to be about pink inside but was well done. Disappointing, especially for the price.
Great food and service, the prime rib was great. Drink specials weee on point
We both enjoyed our meal tremendously.
Husband had the Southern Fried Chicken and accompaniments, all of it was very good and there was enough for lunch the next day.
I had the Petite Filet, which was melt in your mouth amazing. The roasted garlic was a nice touch. I also ordered the Sweet Corn Risotto, which is my only complaint. It badly needed seasoning. I added salt and pepper and enjoyed that as well.
Service was excellent, Terry was very pleasant.
We’ll be back.
Steak was great salad and truffle tots were horrible
Great birthday dinner with (adult) children. Food was incredible, and service wonderful.
We had the sweetest waitress ever
Short dark haired sweetie with glasses
Wish I could remember her name
Little pricey but food was good
The food was amazing but very expensive and the sides are all extra...$10.00 for green beans!!!
I spent $41.00 on a steak the least they could do is give me a potatoe!!
In a mid level restaurant dining experience this would have been fine. Unfortunately it’s supposed to be better then that and it’s priced as such. Our appetizer of crispy lobster was fantastic, 10/10 would order that again. The butter they served with the bread was also very good. Their risotto was a corn risotto, I liked it very much and took the leftovers home. We both got filet mignon for our entree’s. Both were over cooked. The steaks were both ordered to be medium rare, mine came out medium and my boyfriends was medium well. While some may not think it’s that big of a deal, for steaks that are $41 and $51 they should come out properly cooked. They did offer to recook my boyfriends which we appreciated but at that point we didn’t want to have to wait for another steak. We also ordered green beans as a side and they were burned, they did take them off of our check. The waitress was pleasant and management did come over to ask how everything was. We agreed that we would go back and sit at the bar to have some apps while visiting the casino but probably wouldn’t go back for a full meal.
