I loved this place the first time I came (not long after it had first opened), and was really looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, the food is nowhere near as good as I remembered - the biryanis are massive, but not actually that flavourful and by the end we all just felt like we were eating a big bowl of basmati rice. The price point is definitely off for what you get - I think you're paying more for the novelty of having the 'dum' style rather than actual quality of the food. Such a shame!

A great place for authentic Biryani but other dishes are done extremely well too. I went back two nights in a row I love it so much. Deducted one point for service on one of the nights where 3 times I had to go find someone and order. Our ordered peppermint tea never turned up either.

Great starters (Paneer and Chicken 65), but Biryani really overpriced and lacked flavour. Not what I was expecting. Great service however, although small tables, the team were friendly and welcoming. 6/10 at best due to Biryani being average.

Delicious authentic food. our only complaint was that despite having a reservation we were rushed out before we were ready to leave.

Great presentation of the Biryani, decent flavours. I ordered the chicken biryani and haleem. Both were nice but both average. It was a nice place to try once but not wow to go ahead.

Definitely one of the best Biryanis you can have in London. Lamb biryani is exceptional, you should also try Lamb Sukka (dry). They also serve Old Monk :)

We stopped in at 10pm for some quick late-ish night food and were not disappointed! The lamb biryani and mango fish curry were both excellent!

Main course portion was adequate but starter was absolutely tiny.
The chicken briyani had too much paste in.

Nice little place with friendly staff and interesting food. If you like it spicy have the chicken wings - they nearly blew my mouth off!

Came here about 1.5 years ago with my parents for dinner, the service and food were just 10/10. BUT, I took my friend last 2 nights ago, and everything has decreased unfortunately. I had to wave several times to get attention for ordering, the food were not served together with my friend, rather my rice came after my curry. The noise level was high, I had to repeat several times to be heard which is not their fault of course. Asking for the bill was a dread, no attention received at all, we had to get up to go get someone, which took super long so we ended up paying it at the till. The food was alright, was better the last time I visited as I kept on reassuring my friend on how good it would be. I would not visit next time for the alright food and service given, at least not to impress a friend with a great place, no.

Dum is an Indian restaurant in the basement on Wardour street, and it was rather hot even when we dined on the day when the temperatures were in the 20’s. The decor definitely needs updating. The starters are good but the main menu was slightly limited, especially when my guest is allergic to shellfish and does not like lamb. The biryani portions are large and a dish can be shared between 2. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Food was alright but a lost opportunity with the Dum biryani. Could have been prepared in the traditional big pots which makes the biryani a different taste. The popularity of this place could have easily allow for a large quantity to be prepared as it is done traditionally in making biryani.

A hidden away gem. If you walked past may not even notice it was there. They dont have a lot of options on the menu and specialise in Dum biryani. Probably the best dum biryani had in London. Had the lamb shank biryani and was excellent.
