Ambience great. Food slightly disappointing. Black Cod fillet signature dish had bones in it and at £35 you would expect the kitchen to be able to de-bone a fillet properly....
Celebrated my birthday at E&O and had such a nice time. Great food, friendly waitress and really nice atmosphere.
Always great food and ambience. They were super busy and staff rushed off their feet so they did apologise for the lateness of our drinks order. But the staff are always so super nice so we can overlook this issue.
The food is always fresh and brilliantly flavoured with spices and herbs. Service is friendly and quick. We are very lucky to have e&o as a neighbourhood restaurant and strongly recommend it.
E and O is exceptional from the food to the little things the waiters do such as advising side dishes it was one of the best I’ve been to.
Great Japanese/Asian dishes freshly cooked; some of the best miso soup anywhere. The service is excellent which is unusual these days and really adds to the whole experience. The only complaint is that the background music is not in the background but so loud that it is a struggle to hear a conversation. The hard rock theme of the music will also not suit everyone. This is hugely annoying. I would not rush back here because of the dreadful music which is a shame because I really liked the food & service.
not on Thursday, Friday or Saturday when the ghastly electronic music in the bar makes it impossible to have a conversation
Food delicious and service excellent. Only criticism is that they don’t do Fever Tree mixers
Having dined a number of times at e&o for over 15 years, and not been back for a few years we were disappointed by the lack of service. We were given a table which was very awkwardly positioned. The reason was they had made way for a group and we were left within centimeters of them whilst the other side of the table had a couple of meters spare. We moved it Ourselves. The table was not prepared for dinner, we had to ask for napkins & cutlery. All the other tables had candles, we did not. We were given one menu, after two minutes, the waiter arrived and said, what would you like to eat. I requested a second menu for starters... The food was excellent, however the service was not. I would recommend it, but be warned...
Restaurant needs a complete makeover. Food was very average
I'm sorry I have to say i was abit disappointed with the visit after the years again. The service was quite slow, the restaurant was not even full but to get the edamames we odered to be nibbled on while we were waiting for the food took almost as long as the food. The ambience was not as great as it used to be. A lot of empty tables with white table cloths at the busiest time of a Saturday lunch. Food was tasty though, but the portions were small compared to the price.
The service at the restaurant was brilliant!!! The food was a bit of a letdown. Overall a good night out.
Lovely staff 10/10 service - sushi to match
A nice little spot but my experience wasn't great. The waitress seemed grumpy and in a hurry, kept insisting what i want even i asked to give me a bit of time to check the menu. When i was ordering, she kept asking me to read what the dish is as she cannot see whats written in the menu...i mean you are a waitress in this restaurant, you should know whats in your own menu. She didnt know the dishes i was asking for and wasnt polite. Didnt set up our table properly and we were two people but she put plates and table cloth for 1.
I have been to this place once before, the service was good but this time it wasnt a pleasant evening just because the waitress wasnt having a good day perhaps.
Good food, friendly staff, good local restaurant for a Saturday night, good ambience too
From top to finish, everything was perfect. The chicken and vegetable gyoza were delicious. The orange duck was to die for and the chocolate fondant was just the right amount of chocolate but not too sweet.
The menu has changed a bit and it seems so has the chef. The food is still good but not as good as it usually is. Shame as it is a fantastic place to eat.
Delicious food and drinks and very friendly, polite waitress.
Outstanding since years
Great food in a great environment! Always a good choice.
The gyoza came cold and were served drowned in a rice vinegar sauce... why not just put it on the side...
The pas Thai was super dry and not so flavourful.
It was very warm in the restaurant.
Our waiter was very polite and patient! Delicious food.
Hostess was very rude even though I had a reservation. The place was empty and she kept trying to give us the worst table. I had to say no twice. She refused to let us sit by the windows even though they didn’t even fill up for another hour. We were there for a special occasion and she completely ruined the beginning of our meal. We had a very nice waitress.
We were out for a Father's day early dinner and everything was great, really enjoyable and the manager Mattius is the perfect host.
We will be back very soon
Really nice food but quite noisy
Much more quiet at lunch than at dinner which was great for a relaxed working lunch. A little low on attendance though which did not make it for a very vibrant moment if this is what one is after.
Perfect location and attentive staff. Shame about e&o's take on Japanese appetizers and the yellow fin didn't taste right. Wouldn't reccomened raw dishes. Would reccomened trying some delicious mains.
Stop waiting. Just go.
E&O consistently provides great experience.
Great food as usual, nice staff, very consistent quality, definitely recommend
Living in Asia this is our definite go to for a mix of all the food we love, under one roof when we are missing home food. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The bar has lovely cocktails with a fantastic atmosphere. Perfect location. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough
Food always pretty good. Squid wasn't very good on this occasion and their chopped salad was a bit less chopped than it used to be - i liked it better before
Great chilled Bar and Restaurant, would recommend for chilled vibes and good concoctions of drinks
Great experience. Lots of fun on a Saturday night. Had a late reservation, so it was nice and busy in the back and hopping in the front bar area, in a great way. Food and drinks were great! A bit pricey, but knew before going there.
It used to be a great place 12 years ago. Now it has become a tired place and the food served was really not good. Not recommended at all.
Consistently good... missed the cashew in the the duck salad though 🥺
Love the food, but it is expensive for what it is.
The server, Ernesto, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the food/menu
Always fabulous and never fails to impress. Just a great relaxing and cool place to take friends and colleagues. My favourite restaurant in London hands down.
Consistently good food and service. Casual and fun.
