Earth to Table: Bread Bar James
My husband and I went for the first time for brunch, and we loved it! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was cool, and service friendly
2nd time there and better than the 1st, spectacular attention to detail, Highly Recommend it
Everything was excellent except for the noise level. Too "energetic" Very difficult to carry on a conversation. The restaurant needs some kind of noise reduction system.
Fantastic service for our group of 6 on Saturday! Our server was great, food was delicious, and the wine excellent. I had the burger and it was out of this world good.
Food was wonderful and I am looking forward to the next time I can come and try more!
Excellent food and service!
Will be back for another visit soon!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Earth to Table. Excellent food and drinks - and our server Travis did a great job! Thanks!
Food was incredible. Not expensive.
But the restaurant was very loud. They need to look into some sound deadening material.
Bread bar is always great. Brunch was delicious!! Will return for sure!
Excellent food at Sunday Bruch but small plates from the kitchen makes for a slow but busy time.
We had been to Bread Bar before, but never for their Sunday brunch, which is just delightful. There is a nice selection of prepared foods including salads, pizza and yogurts, together with a brunch menu of many little plates. This is a lovely, fun way to try a lot of different things, and to get excellent value. Stand outs include the steak and eggs, the French toast pudding and the Biscuits and Gravy, which was a big hit with my crowd.
Not an inexpensive outing, particularly with kids, but everyone left feeling extremely satisfied, and looking forward to the next visit.
The Bread Bar on James St is a totally different experience from Locke St. A more upscale feel. The food is always more than I can eat. The only down side is that it is a little on the loud side and tables can feta little close. All in all a great eatery
I have been to BB on Locke street many many times and thoroughly enjoyed every visit so I tried the brucnh and it was tremendous, ill be back next Sunday
Wonderful as always. Our server was fantastic. Will go back and likely very soon.
I continue to regret thje unavailability of anything but craft beer. It would be much better if you included an European draft such as Stella, Moretti, Heinekin, Peroni etc. - or Saporo.
Also your cheeseburger wasn't up to its previous taste - very greasy.
Excellent meal, second time we had brunch there. Just as good as the first time. Excellent staff.
Great food! Delicious cocktails! Very VERY loud..which was disappointing
The food and service was great. Will be back with the wife and friends soon.
What can I say? Just as delicious as the Locke Street location. The dining room is quite lovely too.
Excellent new addition to the James St. N. food scene. Ultra modern, much larger and new but with some similarity to the Locke St. location. The place is buzzing but not overwhelming. Service was excellent as was the food. They have maintained the attention to detail that I have become used to. Well done.
Great food, friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. The corn risotto was delicious and the umami burger packed all the right flavors. We were too full to try dessert, but the offering looks great, so definitely worth coming back for.
The ambiance was more refined and classy than the other two locations, but still had a laid back vibe. The food was delicious and simple, but made with high quality and calibre ingredients.
Awesome food as always!!
It's too noisy. I don't want to return because of the hi decibel level. The architecture inside promotes noise. Why is this desirable?
Amazing food and service, the space was not crowded and very nicely decorated. lots of parking in the area which was wonderful. Would recommend to anyone thinking about trying it out.
Food was great, service was good. The uncorking fee went up $5 from last time which was disappointing and the restaurant was quite loud. Our waitress was very nice and checked up on us frequently. It's unfortunate that there is nowhere to reference the specials like the Locke Street location, and our table was not large enough to accommodate the amount of food ordered by the 5 of us. Overall though we all enjoyed ourselves and ours meals :)
Pizza is excellent! Very flavourful with fresh ingredients!
Great location and well done interior. Food was excellent!
Always a great choice for lunch or dinner
Great food and service always
only reason why I 4/5 ⭐️ for food was tried the avocado deluxe and all four of us agreed not a great app avocado was over ripe and brown and taste just wasn’t there and $9.00 for half an avocado that didn’t wow us but everything else 5/5 ⭐️
Bourbon cocktail soo good !!!
Always love the food at BreadBar in Locke so we were hoping it would be as good. I think with the newly decorated vibe it was even better. Great great service, really felt the pace of our table! Loved it all
The food selection is very broad and appealing; all the food had fresh ingredients and was ample serving sizes especially as we had young men in our party who eat substantially.
When the place is full - I find that I have to yell at the person across from me. The only drawback is that there is no buffer re sound.
Despite an initial hiccup it was a wonderful way to entertain Toronto friends.
Fresh ingredients, great choices, nice ambience! Looking forward to trying restaurant recipes from the new Earth to Table cookbook!
Attentive staff and great food!
We love every minute of our time at Bread Bar! Pizza is always amazing but s are the salads and veggies!
A beautifully restored building in downtown Hamilton is the perfect venue for the kind of restaurant Bread Bar strives to be. It is stylish, clean, staffed by helpful people and serving up food that surpasses even the modern, sophisticated furnishings that feel welcoming and elegant. We shared the quinoa salad and the Vampire Slayer Pizza and we were served quickly. The food was delicious and the portions fairly sized. The sound/noise level was quite high on a Friday night (every table was full) but not enough to scare away my guest who is fairly sensitive. I was delighted by the environmental packaging that I was handed to transport my leftovers. We will return again. The $25 cookbook was tempting too!
The patio is tiny, but it’s summer and we were outside, so we were happy they were able to accommodate us. Food was good and well presented and the server was attentive but not overbearing. 👌🏻
Fantastic food and wonderful staff. It's a bit loud, but otherwise absolutely no complaints.
Everything was excellent, we will definitely come back again.
