East 59th Ratings and Reviews
Really lovely evening, great atmosphere. Table was booked at 7.15 and we didn't leave until 10.30! Flat iron steak was cooked perfectly but just 3 grumbles we would like to feed back (although not major) the chips were a little undercooked and not 'skin on' as advertised on the menu. My friends flat iron steak was also really undercooked which was very quickly rectified by the kitchen . Also, the waiter couldn't locate any wine glasses for our bottle of wine which we had to drink from tumblers! Those points aside..the service was great and made for such a lovely evening, will definately be returning soon 😊
My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful evening at East 59th - the staff were all so lovely - especially our main waitress, she was incredibly pleasant and helped to make our first experience at your restaurant what it was.
Thank you East 59th, we will definitely be returning very soon!
Great food, amazing cocktails, good prices, nice relaxing and authentic atmosphere, but hands down the best part was the service. The waiters were lovely, down to Earth and very good and I'll definitely be going again just to see them again if nothing else.
We were excited to visit a recommended restaurant. We were I pressed with the pricing. However the food was served cold which they did recook one of the meals. The medium rare steaks were very rare and unfortunately the steak taco very chewy. They had run out of 3 of the starters busy 8pm. Disappointed as was really looking forward to a nice meal. The restaurant and service were both lovely but we wouldn't rush back soon.
Food was great; service was excellent; wine was delicious, but the rest of the drinks had room for improvement. The actual space is beautiful, and we were surprised how quiet it was for a Friday. I'd recommend getting in quick before everyone finds this hidden gem and you can't get a table. Will be returning for sure.
Disappointed with the lady who showed us to our table. We asked for the express menu which she said she would bring right over. 10mins later we were still waiting. After locating a menu from another waiter we placed our order, to which the original lady came over to ask if we had the menu.
Food was top notch and great value. Just a shame about the beginning of our evening with the poor service from somebody who is front of house and the first point of call for customers.
The restaurant was stunning, the food was good, the staff were very friendly, easy access for wheel chairs and the food came out on time, the only criticism is that the music was too loud. It wasn't so loud that we couldn't have a conversation, but it was loud enough where I was struggling to hear and I felt like I had to project my voice when I was having a casual conversation.
Very quiet on a Monday. Fairly loud music playing more suitable for the evening.
It's a great place but they need to advertise more. I only found it by looking for a restaurant on the Victoria website. They would get more walk ins from shoppers with an advert in the main complex.
Staff excellent, food good quality
Enjoyed the food very much and the staff were very nice. One small gripe, it became clear that there was a "bottomless brunch" offer as we noticed the waiting staff top up everyone else's glasses with prosecco. This menu/deal was not offered to us. We would definitely have been part of the "bottomless prosecco gang" if we'd known! Other than that, it was very nice and I'll be back.
Sat outside and had a fantastic waitress who really looked after us.
Worst cobb salad I have ever had... oh it was NOT a cobb salad. So so so so wrong. Tasted nice.... but I wouldn't call it a cobb salad. Check your Americana!
AMAZING brownie with popcorn. Such a winner!
Portions good. Value good. Ambiance good.
Give it a try... it's finding it's feet. I think it has masses of potential. Go eat there Leeds
The restaurant was really lovely and it was fantastic to sit out on the roof terrace. Waiters were attentive, polite and friendly at the beginning of our visit which was lovely. The cocktails were refreshing and tasty! Small gripe - there were only 2 of us dining at lunch time and a service charge was added which took us by surprise.
I would visit again but there are other places in the city offer the same kind of atmosphere that are a little better value for money.
Would be a lovely venue for brunch with unlimited prosecco!
Lovely venue , we had a table on the Terrace which is beautiful however wind and rain meant even the vast parasols and blankets couldn't keep us properly warm and dry so we moved onto the sister bar Kori at Issho next door which was my favourite . We all tried different cocktails and appetisers . Food 10/10 great taste beautifully presented , cocktails were average - their take on aperol spritz the best the worst the midtown sparkle which was served only as half a glass at £9 a drink was very disappointing ! Definitely would return but more of a daytime than nighttime venue for me
Great ambience and fabulous space with big open air terrace. On arrival we were shown to a square table for 4, but as a party of 3 we asked for a round table as it is more convivial. Despite round tables being set and available, we were told this was not possible. Menu is small and limited, particularly as I have various allergies and intolerances but the waiting staff were really helpful in clarifying what the kitchen could adapt for me. I chose a lobster salad, but without guacamole (allergy) and was really diasappointed in terms of the size of portion compared to other salads ordered and also quantity of lobster for £14.50! Bearing in mind I could have ordered half a gridled lobster for £11.50. However, cocktails were fabulous. Waiting team were brilliant, engaging and humorous. Environment we as fun with great music. Great night despite food.
