Overpriced bar with not much choice for food or beer. Never knew you could make a soggy pizza taste of nothing - but it can be done. £6 for a can of not very nice beer. So many really good bars that charge reasonably for good beer on tap. Only redeeming feature was the manager who was lovely and refunded our money for the horrible food.

Lovely little find with great food, although some dishes we felt were over priced.
Loved the decor & aesthetics but it was a little cold which meant we weren't as comfortable as we could have been.

This is my new and most favourite bar and restaurant in East London.
Remarkable cocktails and staff - really delicious food.
I had the Flight Martini - a 3 in 1 interactive gin martini. Who could ask for more!
A absolute gem of a place.
GO!

We sat at two different tables both with broken legs causing the tables to tip back and forth. Seems this should be easy to correct.

Came on a Monday night on my girl friends birthday. Quiet, as expected, with a lovely atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and decent food too. Would come again for sure. Also thought it's a decent spot for groups of friends.

Excellent food - although don't expect much in the way of desserts. Disappointing cocktails; one particular miss was swapped for a beer and taken off the bill: good response. Room a bit chilly. Service great. Would definitely return if I was in the area - it'll probably be a good place to come after a summer's day in Victoria Park.

Met with friends for lunch and catch up on a rainy Wednesday. We were the only customers-I think this is a place which gets busy in the evenings-but we were very happy with our experience. The menu is limited but the food was good.We especially came for the gin which did not disappoint-great to be able to take some home too from the bottle shop !

Excellent bar so thought would try restaurant. Bit disappointed. Poor service (no one around for first 5 mins there, had to go find someone to be seated). Very basic menu but the pizzas were excellent and very good value for money. Would go again for a casual pizza but not for any expectations beyond that.

Great little find, fantastic food, very friendly service. Fab surroundings. The only improvement to make is a little more speed on delivering the drinks orders but as we were a big group that may have slowed it down a little. Overall really good.

What a great find! My friend and I had a wonderful evening. First we visited the cosy restaurant and bottle shop with extensive gin and whisky selection. Then we hopped over to the bar which was more vibrant. As it had the same menu as the restaurant and we were in the mood for a more vibrant atmosphere, we stayed at the bar for dinner. The food was very yummy ... but it was the friendly personal drinks service (by all staff that served our table - 4!) with amazing cocktails that made it a memorable evening. Will definitely be back.

So excited to have found this local gem. Very fresh, flavoursome food in a lovely environment. We chose to eat in the bar which was wonderful and airy on a hot summers day. Will be back soon and looking forward to trying the exciting drinks menu.

I have been to the bar a few times and I think it is absolutely amazing - the distillery apparatus makes it feel special and makes the interior impressive and the cocktails and pizza are amazing. I recommend coming here for a drink (although it is not surrounded by other bars so it's best to make a night of it). This time I went to the restaurant part of ELLC for dinner with my boyfriend, the menu was amazing and we couldn't decide what to have but the waitress was really friendly, fun and helpful and we settled on her recommendation of the small chorizo dish, which was gorgeous, and pizzas which were equally as amazing. She also talked us through the gin and we tried a couple of different types and we plan to buy a bottle of our fave. Overall, the service was amazing, the food was amazing and the only thing that could have been a bit better was the atmosphere in the restaurant as it was quite quiet which is a shame as this is such a gem (can't remember whether there was music playing but if not, I think it would be a good idea). Loved it so much we have booked a large group in for a birthday meal and can't wait to go back.

We did the distillery tour, which was informative and relaxed, well worth a visit. The restaurant was closed for a wedding, so we ate in the bar. Good food served with a smile by knowledgable staff...........

I came here on Valentines with my boyfriend. We arrived at 6pm and we were the only people for about 40 minutes, which although I would normally find awkward, was completely fine. The staff were really friendly and enthusiastic about their work place. East London Liquor Company makes its own gin and vodka on site and all the cocktails sound delicious. The food was absolutely gorgeous, even something as simple as the bread with oil and vinegar was full of flavour and herbs. I had the valentines special mozzarella with peas, basil and lemon which was incredibly tasty and filling and my boyfriend had the pizza which was light and good ratio of dough:sauce:cheese:topping. I'd definitely visit again and plan on going back soon to the bar to try out some more cocktails.

The food was exquisite. The waitress attentive in a perfectly balanced way and knowledgeable. The venue has been tweeked to perfection but the icing on the cake for us was the music. We didn't realise that there were still people around with our taste in music which is quite specific so for us the whole evening was a huge success.

Plus: Great beers and bar
Let downs:
menu far too simple (was expecting a nice modern European gastro pub, instead it's pizza and really weird mixture of starters, nothing to write home about)

Booked a last min table here for dinner with a flat mate. Had a pizza that was ok, but the restaurant didn't have much ambiance because it was very empty. The drinks were great, though. And the restaurant it's self was very nice.

Beautiful lighting, lovely ambience. The food was good, though dishes (other than the pizza) were quite small. They were able to cope with gluten-free, have some no-added sulphite wines and a small selection of cocktails (but will make you others from the bar). This is a great place for a date, but equally good for a small get-together with friends. Great off shop if you want to buy some of the on-site distilled gin, or other premium brands!

Had a really good time here. Food pricing was very reasonable. Order came out at a reasonable time, and tasted very good. Nice and cosy setting, very intimate. Staffings were also very pleasant, I enjoyed myself very much.

The only negative is that their menu seems very limited, especially the desert menu.

Other than that, great place for a date/evening meal

Fantastic cocktails and yummy pizzas - a great spot for birthday drinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and really knowledgeable about the spirits on offer. Drinks are a little expensive, but that is definitely reflected in the superior quality. I would whole-heartedly recommend this place for drinks or dinner. We'll definitely be returning.
