East Putney Tavern
We enjoyed our meal enormously, but the restaurant didn’t have a note of our booking (which included a request for an especially lovely table for my husband’s birthday). They definitely had our booking on their system somewhere though, because I received a seated confirmation thingamy. Otherwise, everything was great.
Fantastic food and owner was so helpful in explaining and recommending cuts of meat. Definitely recommending to friends.
Excellent place for a Sunday lunch on a sunny day. It’s a great spot for people watching while you enjoy some excellent food and drinks. Love the Sunday roast. Top notch, friendly, accommodating staff.
This place is great. The people were super helpful and really friendly. The food itself was delicious, I can recommend the sunday roast Cote de Boeuf it was superb. I will definitely be going back again.
Great place. Food is awesome and staff very friendly!
Good roast on sunday - bottomless vegies and extra gravy
Thanks it was a great night ! Really friendly staff
The staff were very nice and the food was beautiful. The staff were very attentive. There’s a nice vibe in EPT.. my only criticism is, upstairs is very bright for dinner, it would have been a better dinner ambiance with the lights at a more subtle level. They seemed to be on fully bright. Not so
Romantic. Everything was great otherwise!
Very sweet people.
Food is delicious !
Great atmosphere too!
Tasty, affordable food. Waiter was brilliant. Really nice new fit out and open flow into back drinking garden. Will be back.
Sunday lunch was delicious. The vegetarian options are tastier than a lot of other ‘lazy’ food establishments.
I was very excited to try East Putney Tavern for mother’s day, but sadly it was a disappointing experience.
Three out of the four mains were missing elements mentioned on the menu. When we notified our waitress she quizzed us suspiciously, inspecting the plates to check. After a delay the missing elements were then bought out to us. The roasts were advertised as bottomless veg and potato’s - we asked for a top up half way though our meal (we weren’t offered and no one checked in with us that our meals were okay). There was such a delay that we had finished our meals before any sign, so we asked a passing waitress if we could cancel them. Once our entire table had been cleared, the veg and potato’s arrived. We told the waitress that they had been cancelled but she was visibly annoyed.
Had it not been for mothersday I would have made a point when we received the bill, but I didn’t want any awkwardness at the table.
Sadly I won’t be coming back.
