Echoes Restaurant Blue Mountains
Echoes Restaurant is renowned for its modern Australian cuisine with an Asian influence using fresh and local produce, which is complemented by specially selected boutique Australian and imported wines, all whilst enjoying the magically panoramic views of the Blue Mountains escarpment and Jamison Valley from the terrace.
Fantastic service. I thought the adult meal food portions were a tad small. The bread was fantastic
Beautifully cooked food and very enticing presentation. Although not a lot of gf choice on the menu the chef was happy to adapt and the result was perfect. I had the miso trout which was done gf for me and then the beautiful lemongrass creme brûlée which was also gf, minus the biscotti! Echoes has beautiful ambience always, the roaring fire as you walk in helps a lot and the lovely decor, with twinkly lights outside at nighttime reminding you that there is also the most magnificent view into the valley if you happen to go during the day for lunch! The staff were very professional and friendly and it was all around a really lovely experience for a most reasonable price for the quality of food received.
Amazingly decadent restaurant on the cliff overlooking the valley. Stunning views. Service was complimented by the incredible food. Perfect for a special occasion, pricey otherwise. Was able to sit in the bar next to a lovely open fire whilst waiting for our table to be ready. Loved it!
Good food and good service. Tables next to windows are cold and those next to the fires are hot but obviously can't be avoided. We'll come back.
Great restaurant. Next time we will be going in summer for dinner to experience the beautiful view it has or stay in the hotel.
We had somebody playing the piano. That was very nice.
A beautiful setting but disappointing meal and overall experience.
The food was trying to hard to be too many things with over infused flavours and luke warm/borderline cold food served. I only enjoyed the garlic bread and the Rose.
The service was clumsy, lacked a personable touch and was delivered with a somewhat condescending air - a strange combination. It was like the staff could not wait for you to leave and it was a bother to serve you (and they did not believe you were good enough to be there).
I would not recommend to my circle of fine food experienced friends. The Oak in Leura, although more casual, has a far better menu, chef and a greater service experience.
Best thing to do here is go for a wine by the fire.
Everything was lovely except when we got there we were told not to park in car park as he told us he would have to interrupt lunch and get us to move it... a little disappointing.. I parked on the street $17 and then when we left there were 6 empty car spaces. Not happy especially my mum being 82yo!
Food good.Service attentive ands efficient. Nice ambience.
Fantastic food and we were made to feel comfortable by professional wait staff
Food was good, not outstanding. Staff excellent and ambiance was nice. My opinion both food and wine overpriced
One thing patrons should be told when making a booking is that the restaurant is upstairs and there is no lift
Despite my comments my husband and I enjoyed our evening
We were happy with the level of audiation, quiet enough to have a conversation and be relaxed.
The food was beautiful.
The service was professional and friendly. Thank you
We had a beautiful time at Echos for lunch. High quality service, lovely three course meal. We will be back.
We were extremely disappointed. The quality of the meals was overall really low
Echoes has always been a special place for a special meal. It was an excellent choice for our first dinner out after isolation
We LOVED our dinner. The sticky rice wasn’t to the same standard of the other meals but we loved everything else. It was very pricey but it was a great night.
Super disappointed to receive a drink with a plastic straw. Are people still using plastic straws???
Perfect family day out Thankyou
Food service & views
We had a lovely long lunch at Echoes. The food and service was enhanced by the stunning views.
We went for my wife's birthday. Very romantic, polite and helpful staff, amazing views if you can arrive before sunset even for pre-dinner drinks, it's worth the early arrival.
Excellent service and fantastic food. Cooked to perfection and served and presented well.
A beautiful experience our waiter went above and beyond
Can’t wait to return
Amazing view with nice food and great service
Although the weather conditions meant we had no views the location was nice and quiet and the service was excellent.
The Crème Brulee I felt could be better as it was a little bit curdled but nice nonetheless.
We would definitely return.
Phenomenal views of the blue mountains. The food was delicious and lovely wine. Service was excellent.
Amazing service, Well and truly remarkable experience, Best quality fine dining.
A great meal. Unfortunately we missed the view as the valley was completely enclosed in fog. Is breathtaking though, as we saw the next day when the weather cleared
An excellent restaurant with the most beautiful view imaginable. The staff were helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend!
Food was very good and the view was special.
l booked online , l wanted to go to Darleys . I was on their webpage , it said they were open on the 28th , my husband’s Birthday , Open Table were on the right to that page to take the booking so naturally l thought l was making the booking for Darleys But no when we arrived at Darleys that night dressed ready to celebrate Darleys were closed ! We then went to Echoes and were terribly disappointed. Warm mineral water , the $2 bottle left on the table , l asked for ice to cool it down . The food not worth the $300 we paid . Disappointed.
Experience was overall positive. The service was great and the view is superb. Meals come out quickly. Fairly expensive meals for what you get although it Was satisfying and we didn’t leave hungry. The lychee panna cotta was amazing. Overall a great dining experience.
It's always a pleasure to bring people to Echoes. The staff are very polite, friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent. The view of the mountain range is normally beautiful but the day we were there was very hazy so we didn't see much but the relaxed ambiance made up for the lack of view. I love the fabric table cloths and attention to dining detail. None of us ate meat, only fish and vegetables but there were plenty of offerings on the menu giving us a good range of tastes to choose from and all tastily composed and beautifully presented. Next time I would like to try the sashimi platter, created in a unique inventive style. I'm looking forward to that.
Food was slightly above average but let down by the staff. The chef on duty did not understand the menu and was cooking by numbers. No one could explain the rationale behind battering the vegetables; and 2 of the staff didn’t even understand the word “ rationale”
The evening was topped off by a member of staff shouting at us across the room from behind the bar to ask if we had paid.
We were told someone would have got back to us ref the menu decisions however this still has not happened.
One of thé best table in Blue Moutain aera with avery good service.
As well as a spectacular location, Echoes offers outstanding cuisine across the range of fine beef and lamb and surprisingly good seafood. The view is as advertised, with the use of sun blinds available for those facing directly into the western gulf sun but we, and our overseas guests, were pleasantly surprised by the sophisticated fare. The wine list included several excellent local choices including from the Hunter, Orange and Mudgee as well as a reasonable range of wines from the major national wine regions. We hope to return on our next trip to the mountains.
Beautifully scenic location with great food and friendly informative service. Our waitstaff member, Krista was exceptional in insuring our dining experience was one to remember. Very keen to recommend and return.
amazing view with great food and service - cocktails were pretty good too
Lovely view, food and atmosphere. Service was very attentive and considerate.
Would go again
The setting was terrific, and the service by the staff was attentive whilst not hovering. The presentation of the food was very good and of a good size.
The view is absolutely great and we enjoyed the evening a lot. The service was very good and the atmosphere is really nice as well. Unfortunately the food was not as good as expected. The prices are high and I would expect not only good looking food but also very tasty food. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the latter one. The gravy was pretty tasteless and the side dishes as well. I had much better food in other places for less money. I assume the you pay a lot for money for the view. One more thing that we have to add is the artificial candles on the table. If i pay 300 $ for a nice dinner I at least expect real candles on the table. Overall we really enjoyed the evening for the atmosphere and the view, however the food needs improvement to fit the rest. Only good looking is not enough.
Although the food was pleasant it is overpriced, given the meal size and quality - based on the price I was expecting something outstanding. Also there was no view, which I expected given the photos online. Service was however good.
