Eddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef & Seafood - Bloomfield Hills

A relaxing way to spend my belated birthday dinner. Food was excellent; tender steak, flavorful blackened shrimp, fresh bread. But service makes the experience; very glad that Johnathan has returned to the fold.

Amazing food and service! If you’re looking to have a delicious meal in a welcoming, upscale setting this is the perfect place.

Just a mediocre experience for something that was valued so highly, overall from the wait time of getting served our food to the over cooked steaks I wasn’t happy. I should’ve expected some timing issues with the crowdedness of New Year’s Eve but still, we sat there for quite a while before getting served even for asking us drink orders. The booth seats are okay at best, I can’t imagine having to sit in a chair for the total of 3.25 hours I was there. Server was trying her best to make due but she was overbooked and you could tell. Shout out to her though.

This was our first time trying Eddie Merlot’s and we celebrated New Years Eve with dinner. Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Drinks were great and the food was amazing. Hard to find a better deal for the overall experience

The service was good but I found the food to lack flavor and be over priced for what it was.

Was completely rushed through dinner, I know it was New Years Eve, but I’m still paying their prices. Food was undercooked and cold when served, and was not an enjoyable experience. Management needed to worry about maintaining their reputation that night.

New Year’s Eve. Was disappointed we were seated in the bar area when the dining room was empty at 630pm. Had to send a steak back as it was overdone but overall a decent experience. Our server was excellent.

Michael Herman and Jon did an excellent job!! Great to see Jon back! And Michael is alway consistently wonderful. Both are also friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu! We come back time and time again for the fantastic personal service and of course for the delicious atmosphere and environment.

Two of the four entrees were incorrect and sent back, one returned twice. Promised accommodations were not made to the bill and it needed to be redone. Valet service was unacceptable

While the dinner was a bit pricey, the food and service (and wine list) made up for it. Our waiter was very nice and was attentive to our requests and kept the wine glasses from running out. I'd recommend Eddie Merlot's to anyone. It was an outright excellent dining experience!

Great ambiance! Waiter Jared was amazing and a pleasure to meet, food was tasty and fulfilling, great Intimate setting for us and again the waiter created a great evening.
The desert was amazing as well

The food was outstanding! So delicious! My filet was perfectly prepareed...like cutting butter. And the peanut butter cup dessert was worth every calorie. The service waa wonerful...very attentive ataff. Definitely will return for other special occasions.

First time at this restaurant. Took our daughters and husband’s for Christmas dinner out. The ambience was just beautiful, our waitress was terrific, we had a glass break and spilled water everywhere and they came over Immediately, cleared the table down to all the table cloths and set us up with in minutes with a clean table. The food and drinks were outstanding. It’s expensive, but delicious! Definitely go again for a special occasion.

Rough visit. After several nice visits, this wasn’t great. Mixed up steaks on delivery then had to reheat and re cook two. Took the plates away with sides on them and they can back in new plates. So most of our sides ended up in the waste. Had to request bread as we waited for steaks. All because the guys delivering the dishes didn’t pay attention to who ordered what.

I was very satisfied with our server, Michael. He was friendly, efficient and accommodating. Of course, the ambiance was nice with the very tasteful holiday decor. Food was also good especially the Bananas Foster. Our family had an excellent pre-Christmas dinner. We are sure we will come back. Thanks.

Our server was new, so I can't really blame her. She gave us another tables check though, then had to void it all and redo it. I think the dinners chould have been more generous, considering everything is ala cart. Food was delicious though. They give you a free creme brulee on your birthday!

Service was not good. It took 90 minutes for us to receive our entree. We will not return

We celebrated a special event, my son's college graduation, at Eddie Merlot's. The food was very good. The service somewhat deteriorated through the event as we didn't see much of our servers after dinner was served. Had to ask to see dessert menus and prompt to keep the drinks coming.

Portions were generous and done as ordered.

The service and food were exceptional. Our server Robert was great. He gave us a detailed explanation of the menu and provided us with a few good options to try. My wife enjoyed being acknowledge for it her birthday with the table place card and the dessert provided. I will definitely have dinner at Eddie Merlot again.

This place is stupendous! Carla did a wonderful job. She went above and beyond to make my anniversary a memorable occasion. We’ve been to a few swanky joints but this one is head and shoulders above the rest. I’m definitely going to recommend Eddie Merlot’s and keep it in mind when planning my next event.

We celebrated my daughter birthday at Eddie Merlot’s and as always it was a stellar experience. Michael Herman was our waiter and helped to make this a truly amazing experience. From start to finish Michael Herman paid very close attention to every detail to make sure that we had an amazing experience. Food was on point. If you want to have the best dining experience go to Eddie Merlot’s and ask for Michael Herman! Eddie Merlot’s is perfection!

Eddie Merlot's manages to be consistent in providing excellent service and perfectly prepared food. The wine list is broad and interesting.

I love the sea bass & my husband lives the tuna. Everything is great including the salads, desserts & sides!

It was okay, but not worth the money. We didn't order steak which was maybe the problem. Appetizer was very salty and the Caesar was overdressed.

Nice experience for my wife and myself! We like to try different places. Nice place to celebrate out anniversary.
