EDŌ brings you a relaxed dining experience where you can enjoy the tastes of the best ingredients from around Europe. Head chef and owner Jonny Elliott brings a huge passion for food from his extensive experience working across Europe, including for top chefs Gordon Ramsay and Gary Rhodes. EDŌ is ideal for those wanting to experience a range of tastes through a sharing themed menu. For those who prefer a more traditional service, the starter and main course format are still available. EDŌ is one of only a very small number of restaurants to cook using a Bertha oven, which allows for the chefs to cook with apple and pear wood to give dishes a distinctive, smoky flavour. Jonny and Antonia look forward to welcoming you to EDŌ to take you on a journey of discovery of some of the best dishes and ingredients that Europe has to offer.

Lovely atmosphere. One waitress was a little unknowledgeable about the menu and had to ask a few times regarding our food. We had paella for main course but unfortunately only 1 arrived which was tasty and we shared until the 2nd came out which unfortunately had very little fish in it. We ate late,9.30pm as it was the only time available so many specials had finished so maybe eating earlier is recommended!!

Best dishes were the paella, beef cheek and soft shell crab though can't complain about any of the other dishes we got, all were lovely, fresh and full of flavour. Make sure you save room for the dessert, the churros and affogato are amazing!
Staff are friendly and there's a relaxed atmosphere.

Great service, friendly staff, the small plates are very tasty. I don't feel that there is much diverse choice of larger main plates. I wasn't aware there is a vegetarian and vegan menu, until I was asked is that the vegetarian option. I was told these menus are only available on request, but if you don't know how can you request these.

We arrived early and had booked to celebrate an engagement. On arrival I ordered a bottle of champagne but apparently it had sold out then we were seated beside the toilets and having booked quite a time ago was a disappointment and definitely ruined the ambience and experience. The waitress was very helpful and tried to move our table a few more inches away from the loos but alas it did not help really . Being beside the loos is never good but I had not booked last minute .

Fantastic food, great to see wood oven, incredibly hot. Service good but took time to have our orders taken although I appreciate it was busy(but not hectic). Friend asked for IPA but got some weird thing. Was replaced without argument. Over all the place is excellent.

Great to have a restaurant like this in Belfast - the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and nice. The seafood linguini, Monkfish scampi and the Pimientos de Padron were the best I have ever tasted!
We had bar seats which give you a great view of the kitchen - the owner was at the pass and spent time to talk to us about his background and the food. The only slight issue was that at the bar you are a bit disconnected from the front of house - we saw a great looking dish and when we asked what it was it turned out to be a special and we didn't know there were specials! the specials menu did then arrive. We did also have to ask for more drinks a couple of times - it was Friday evening so they were busy too - despite this they were very nice. Thanks Edo we will be back!

Sumtpous food and drink, superb service. Bertha (the barbecue) delivered the most beautiful beef cheek and the cheese course was delectable, esoecially the micron sliced crispy bread. The din got a bit ecxessive with screeching guests but small conmplaint given overall experience.

Absolutely delicious food and different from the norm. Tastes like there’s been alot of time and love put into the food.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
We did feel slightly limited by the menu - would have liked more sauce based meat sharing dishes for balance- but what we chose was lovely.

Edo wasn't bad but to be honest it wasn't great either. Food was OK and cost of wine etc. pretty reasonable. Bit annoyed that if you book through Open Table that they only give you 2 hours for the table and then you're moved - even if the people that have been booked in after you haven't arrived. They don't move everyone (staff told my wife that the table beside us was allowed to stay as their's was a 2 1/4 hour booking rather than a 2 hour booking etc. So overall, not bad, but won't be rushing back.

A fabulous evening for a group of 5 , one a picky eater, one vegetarian, two hungary folk and one who likes to try new things. All were delighted with the food served and service by the end of the evening. A selection of 5 tapas were chosen for starter and shared so all needs were met. Individual mains were all praised from beef cheek to ribs to frittata. What was impressive was everything arrived piping hot straight from the pass. Considering the restaurant was full the service was still excellent from orders to clearing away everything was done in a friendly non intrusive manner. We will be back again to try those steaks!

The food is incredibly delicious and there is such a good range of options. I am vegetarian but I took my family there and they loved their meat and fish dishes. I always get the plate of organic vegetables and I love how it changes every time. The Patatas Bravas is class too. The real winners are always the empanadillas. Everything is impeccable presented and the service friendly and efficient. I love everything about this restaurant and am constantly telling everyone I know how it is my favourite restaurant in Northern Ireland. It is also so much better value for money than the restaurants in close proximity to it. Can’t speak highly enough of Edo. On another note, having worked as a chef in a Belfast restaurant, I witnessed first hand how difficult it is to recruit and keep good chefs and every time I have been to Edo over the past year or so I have always seen the same 4 chefs in the kitchen and this shows that it must be a great place to work. The chefs appear relaxed and extremely well organised in the kitchen which is so good to see as it helps the customers to relax and enjoy their food. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Very much looking forward to eating here and it was not going to disappoint - had several tapas to start with which were very tasty, loved it when they just brought them out as and when they were cooked - mains were a little more organised - slow roast beef which was beautiful ans the ham hock was a) massive which was good as I got to finish the others half’s off and b) very tasty

It did get very loud towards the end which they can’t do anything about - in a big party with everyone having a laugh it’s oerrect, quiet meal for two possibly not
