Ed's Diner - Barclaycard Arena
Great food and drink and served quickly! Good activity packs for kids! Would definitely go again but quite expensive.
Arrived a little early to be told it was cash only today as their card reader was down. Not a problem, there was a cash point nearby. Then informed they had no fries and were expecting a delivery at some point today. As this is a diner and fries kind of are a part of the experience we chose to go elsewhere. I asked them why they hadn't let me know about this earlier today (phone number given when booked) and no response was given. Disappointing experience and definately took the shine off our day in Birmingham.
On this visit the tills where down and could only accept cash payments which seemed to affect business. The staff did their best slightly disappointed as well as a couple of things on the menu where also unavailable. Not the best of dining experiences we where seated by the kitchen area and left smelling of food.Sorry Ed’s diner think massive improvements needed.
Was turned away as the tills had all gone down. When I mentioned I had a booking I was told to wait while she spoke to the manager. She didn't come back to me and I then asked her if I could pay cash if paying by card was a problem. She replied it was too complicated but i am still wondering why she left me standing there after asking me to wait. I understand it is not the fault of the diner if the tills had gone down but didn't feel that the staff were very professional.
Couldn’t serve us at all so had to find somewhere else to eat after booking a table.
Okay but food could be better and service quicker little girl dropped ice-cream no offer to get her another one
Even after having a table booked we were made to wait for a table. Staff seemed miserable. The food wasn’t great either. I was ill through the night and the rolling day with stomach issues
It was very busy just before a concert the food was good but expensive. Also took a while to get seated even though we had booked.
Friendly Staff. Great Menu. Good prices. An enjoyable eating experience.
Restaurant was very quiet and we were seated in a booth which was great. I was however surprised that there were fries and napkins on the floor under the table.
We were served by the manager who asked about allergies which was great as I have a toddler with allergies. He loved the decor particularly the tubular lights and rocket hanging from the ceiling. We didn’t wait long for food and it was very nice I would definitely recommend the bbq chicken burger!
I struggled to get the waitresses attention to get condiments and a refill for a drink, a little disappointed by this considering there were only four tables seated at the time.
Booked for 5 people, but were offered a table for 4. We sorted out our own seating once the table next to us was empty. Not really the sort of music you would expect in an America style diner. Food was good.
The food was enjoyable and we didn’t feel like we had to rush at all. The waitresses were helpful but looked quite unhappy which brought the mood down a little. Overall I would go again.
Great service at a busy time. Waitress looked after us throughout.
Me & my mum had a hot dog & chicken burger and shared some loaded fries, I didn’t think it looked like a mass of food but we both struggled to finish our desserts so was more filling than we realised! Tasty food & good value
Strictly come dancing event, excellent service, food & would recommend to anyone going to arena Birmingham.
The service was excellent. We booked a table for 3 and it was ready as required.
Service was very quick and all the staff that attended our table were very polite and well presented.
Costs were excellent, we had a 50% off voucher :-)
Only slight downside - the table Juke Boxes were not working.
Very busy due to an event at the Arena but we had booked so were ok. Friendly staff and very convenient for the Arena. Some of the food could have been a bit hotter but otherwise good and plenty of it.
