Ed's Diner - Cambridge Extra
You must be joking if you honestly think I would recommend this joke of a company to anyone other than my worst enemy. Following a disastrous visit to your Cambridge Extra outlet last year we were sent £30 worth of vouchers as a gesture of goodwill. So the next time we travelled from Yorkshire to visit family we would give it a second chance. So Easter Sunday we were travelling from Suffolk back to Yorkshire. Checked the website in case of seasonal opening hours which indicated you were open. Expecting it may be busy we booked a table via your website and received an email confirmation. We were then very annoyed to break our journey up for lunch to find your outlet closed. I contacted both the outlet and head office via email to express my disgust. I have as yet to hear anything back however I have just received an email asking me to review my recent visit. Well here it is. An absolute joke of a company continuously showing a wilful disregard to those of us that might once have been considered customers. Bloody joke.
Arrived for our booking time, having driven especially for 40 minutes, to be told they weren't serving food as they had no plates!!! Person was completely unapologetic and didn't seem to care that it was mothers day or that we had a booking. Questioned why we were not called to let us know when we had booked a week in advance, didn't get a straight answer. Terrible first experience and doubt will ever eat there.
We have been coming to this restaurant for 2 years and then this Saturday gone, we didn't feel very welcome, took ages to get ordered and then when the food came out, one of us had to wait because rather than serve the food together they bought over half and to top it off we were going to have a pudding but instead we weren't given the option other than the bill. It wasn't very good that they were speaking in there own language which made us feel uncomfortable. Least to say it has damaged our view of how good it used to be
