Avoid. We waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Manager was incredibly rude when spoken to about our food and embarrassed us in-front of other customers. Quality of food was very disappointing. Tea was cold by the time our food arrived. Very disappointing after being really excited to visit here on our trip to London. We ended up leaving hungry and having to look for another place to eat. Will not be back or recommend anyone else to visit here. Other customers seemed to be stressed about the waiting time of food, in which the response from the manager seemed rude and sarcastic.

Seat was dirty it also had food on it and food on the floor. I have been to other EL an N cafes which are much nicer. Service was very slow and only took away some of our empty plates leaving everything else piled up on the table .

I was extremely disappointed with our whole visit to EL&N. I had booked a large table 3 weeks in advance for a bachelorette and even though I phoned to confirm the day before - no notes had been taken on what I requested so when we got there we have to get the tables set up as I had asked while we waited. The service was so shocking - could never get a waiter to take our order. In a seating for over 2 hours we only managed to get one drink each and never even ended up being bale to order food/cakes etc. Extremely disappointed and will not go back or recommend.

We had a wonderful visit to El & N. The food and cakes was absolutely delicious. The service could be improved. The barista slammed my daughter's babyuccino on the table and we had to ask them to take the menus and bring cutlery. So, as lovely as it was, the customer service could be improved. The tiolets also need to be cleaned more regularly and revamped in keeping with the main restaurant. Nonetheless, a lovely place and we will definitely be back.

I thought the pictures on the website make it look nicer than it is. The cakes we had weren’t amazing think it’s overpriced for what it is personally. Staff were helpful.

didn't look like the pictures online, we arrived on time for our table and was told it wasnt ready (despite us being charged £15 per head for not showing up?) so we sat at a high top with a push chair, waited 20 minutes for our actual table with no offer of ordering a drink. Once our table was ready, we sat down and the chair was soaking wet so had to go back to the high top table. It then took another 20 minutes for anyone to take our order, we were never offered a high chair so my niece was sat in her pushchair basically underneath this tall table. The food was good and when the staff eventually served us they were kind but overall a very disappointing experience as we were so excited to go to the viral cafe, my family had travelled hours to visit and I thought this would be the perfect lunch spot for them and it was really disappointing.

Beautiful decor, food and cocktails were lovely and the dessert was stunning! Staff were very friendly, good quick service. Will definitely return, probably for an afternoon tea 😊

It was a little underwhelming. Pictures look amazing but didn't really follow through. My Spanish Pistachio Latte was cold, the smoked salmon was poor quality that I couldn't eat it. The pancakes were nice. Nothing that would make me want to do back unfortunately.

A beautiful cafe with a stunning menu but I do agree with reviews on service, it’s very poor. We had to keep getting up and asking to be served and the cafe was really quiet. We waited a long time for coffees once ordered. Felt like the staff were new to the industry and very poor management and training. Really do think a special cafe like this should have good staff and service because it does ruin the vibe. Despite that, we still had a lovely time and I would visit another of the cafes, maybe not this one though now I’ve done it.

No atmosphere, the female staff member who saw us in just couldn’t be bothered, showed her my confirmation & said we didn’t have a booking must be for a different place, I showed her the address AB’s she still refused but said you can sit where you want - the waiter was nice but she put us off & made no effort - has to be the worse El & N ever been to

This was not decorated in the same way as other EL&N cafes so was very misleading. Gave up and went to the one in Hans Crescent which does not take advance bookings.

We were recommended to come here on one of the tours we took so we made reservations for that same night. We arrived on time and were promptly seated in the back room. After sitting for awhile, we finally figured out we needed to download the app to order when no one came back to take our order. Our drinks took about 20 mins, which was fine, we weren’t in a rush and they were really good. My food, which was the French toast came out shortly after that. It was delicious, but I was trying to wait for my husband’s food to come out. After about 30 mins and my food was almost gone/cold, a man whom I assume was the manager came back and began apologizing. He stated that the kitchen was now closed and the other meal had not been made. My mind was blown at this point and I’m not sure how this could have happened when they were ordered together. We were offered some desserts, however my husband doesn’t eat these kinds of things. He was left hungry for the night as many things were closed by this time. The man informed me he would not be able to do a refund since the order was done on the app, but to email and the refund of both meals would be done right away. I emailed the next day as it was already late at night. Needless to say, a week and a half later I haven’t heard anything back, I haven’t been called, and I don’t have my refund. Very disappointing experience.

An amazing service. I took 5 young girls to eat- the portion sizes were great, they really enjoyed the french toast. I had the chicken burger which I'd recommend. The staff made it extremely comfortable for us.

The venue is beautiful, was lovely and clean but the food wasn’t great. Most came out cold, at different times and the servers had no idea what the food was that they were bringing out to us. When asked which dish it was, we got a shrug so had to try and work out whose burger was whose etc. food didn’t come out all together, even when ordered on the same order. Most of us had finished when the last dish came which was a salad. The front host was great, but the rest of the staff had no idea what they were doing. It’s a shame.

Booked for a friends 40th not what I was expecting looks nice on the outside dirty on the inside no table decorations no menu to read from, service was poor forgot the coffees and no one came to take our order after 1/2hr of waiting. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Very disappointed.

We were really excited to come and visit as we’d seen El&N’s online several times. Unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations. We found the staff to be really cold - we didn’t feel welcome there at all. Upon arrival we weren’t even greeted - instead we awkwardly stood at the entrance with our 9 month old for around 5 minutes until someone eventually decided to come over and seat us. The cafe wasn’t busy so not sure why we were made to wait around. Once seated we were told there were no menus so we had to scan a QR code to access it - the menu differed to the one we viewed online so a lot of the food we had already decided to eat wasn’t available. We were then asked to move our pushchair out the way because they had to remove a huge glass panel from the back of the store. It ended up being a huge inconvenience as our baby ended up waking up with all the commotion. By this point we had decided this place just wasn’t for us so we went next door to Chai Wala where we had an amazing meal and proper service! Don’t think we’ll ever return here or recommend to others. From a customer service standpoint there’s a lot of work to be done!

Sat in the back room with lots of recently delivered boxes. Service was limited due to being in a separate room. Frappes were bland - caramel flavour was one swirl on the top. Aesthetically pleasing but quite disappointing.

Service was so bad. I ignored the other reviews and went ahead with my booking anyway. Waited ages for everything, staff didn’t know the menu, orders were going to the wrong tables, food came out cold but only once we got bored of waiting and asked after it! They have nice cakes and the place looks pretty but that’s about it - except for the toilets, they were disgusting and smelly! I cancelled a future booking that I had as I won’t be going back.

Service very slow. Waited nearly an hour before our food came. While others that came in after us, their food came before ours. Asked for the bill, that took 30 minutes, they had forgotten. Would not recommend it to friends

Visited EL&N from Southampton for my nieces 18th Birthday and was a real treat. Food amazing and American gentlemen serving us made the experience. He was very friendly and felt like he really cared that we enjoyed our time there. If it was a little closer to us we would be a regular customer I’m sure. Thank you

We went there for my daughter’s birthday celebration. We were given a nice table inside with little privacy for which Shreedhar a lovely young man helped and assisted us throughout our stay in the cafe. He was very polite, helpful and cheerful. Food were yummy, especially a cake was delicious. Would love to visit the place again next time. Overall beautiful memories created for my daughters 3rd birthday.

Overpriced underwhelming food and service got stuck out the back on armchairs they moved us ok but food was poor quality. The most instagramable place in London is underwhelming and tired had two disappointed 14 year old girls. Not what it is cracked up to be as the only bookable EL&N was expecting something a little more. If you want cheap cafe quality food in a tired and environment and poor service we had to ask several times for water before it came and it wasn’t even particularly busy. My daughters food was over cooked and dry. There are better places to eat on Brompton Road by far!!!

We had been to an EL&N in Selfridges so had high hopes but the service was very slow at the Brompton Road EL&N. We ordered via the app and received the drinks and cake but then had to wait over an hour for our mains to come out and the staff didn't let us know about the delay or check on us. We had to ask for cutlery and had to ask what had happened to our main courses after an hour of sitting in the back room. People arrived after us and food came out before us. Another couple also had to chase their mains. We were surprised by the lack of service and the really long wait for food. One of the staff said they were busy but there were empty tables. It felt as if they needed more staff in the kitchen and need to improve the general level of service and welcome. The drinks were the best bit.
