El Camino Mexican Soul Food - Mezcal & Tequila Bar - Fort Lauderdale
We are committed to offering the freshest organic and local ingredients where possible, and we value local, artisan, indigenous and reclaimed offerings. We are even taking the not so typical step of making our own tortillas, sauces, and anything else possible from scratch. The list of craft cocktails is truly Mexican and includes house made sangritas, a curated selection of agave spirits, a diverse selection of craft and Mexican beers. In the end, it is all about sharing the food with the community of people who enjoy it. Viva México!
Make it to happy hour for the best prices. No pitcher options on margaritas so plan to spend at least at least 10 per drink after 7 p.m. Its a great location and very popular even on weeknights.
We had reservations on Thanksgiving... we were sat immediately and the restaurant was full. We ordered guacamole and chips and our food arrived before we were done with the appetizer, even though we ordered 10 minutes after the guacamole arrived! Vet fast, hot food! Love it!!!
Ordered the guac appetizer and came out within minutes so makes me believe it’s not made fresh. Portion size was not equal to price. Taste score excellent. Drinks were served in staggered order which tells me that the bar might not have it all together. Music was the same beat all night..... boom boom boom boom ugh! Our server and greeter were the saviors of this over trendy spot.
Food was decent. But drinks tasted watered down. Very noisy so made it hard to talk. Service was mediocre. Waiter acted annoyed that we asked him to take a photo.
Taco Tuesday is a great value!
Great food for the price. Fun atmosphere
El Camino would have been a fun experience, except we made a reservation for 8:30, arrived on time, and then were asked to wait "a couple minutes." After 45 minutes and multiple times of being told it would be a few more minutes, we were finally seated. They apologized, but there should never be an additional 45 minute wait when you already have a reservation. What was the point of making a reservation?
Fun night. Food is very good. Service on point. Love the decor. We have been there several times and have enjoyed each visit. Very noisy, if you are looking for a quiet evening this is not the place to go.
We had been looking forward to our evening at El Camino, and it did not disappoint! The pan-roasted snapper was beyond outstanding, and the beef fajita was amazingly tender and tasty. There was a lively atmosphere and a great vibe at the bar and though the guacamole was a little on the bland side and our server's memory a little short, those seemed minor in the grand scheme of things. We will return and can't wait to share it with our "snowbird" friends when they are in town!
Great survey. Good price. Good food.
Very large portions of food. Ambiance a bit loud as we we’re seated next to the bar & right near the entrance. It was a cool night & they had the fans above going strong & it was so cold that I started sneezing & asked if the fan could be lowered to a softer spin but after asking 3 people, nothing was done & my food got cold fast. There’s street parking and walking around after dinner is a lot of fun in Las Olas. Server was very attentive & tried to get someone to do something about the fan but he wasn’t successful either! Will come back on a warmer night.
El camino is my favorite place in the world. The service is great. Food is even better. Ambiance out of this world. I recommend the crispy fish tacos they are to die for. Favorite thing on the menu.
Steven was the absolute best server. Incredibly knowledgeable. You could’ve literally just asked him to recite the menu to you (including individual ingredients) and I think he would’ve been able to do it! He was so sweet, very attentive, and made sure we didn’t need for anything.
smoked brisket burrito and quesadilla were both great. Chips and salsas really good too: the right balance of crunch, salt, and spice. Server was very nice. Restaurant is very loud though, so difficult to talk and hear
Service was great and food was delicious. It was louder than I thought it would be. I had my toddler and found it wasn’t kid friendly at all - other than having a high-chair. No plastic cups (let alone plastic cups with a lid) and no kids menu. The experience would have been much better with just a slight addition of kid-friendly cups and menu options.
Our server, Steven, was great. He recommended some drinks and menu items based on what we told him we liked. He was very attentive throughout the meal and very personable and professional. Everything we tried was delicious especially the Passion Fruit Margarita! The Quesadillas were crispy and hot. We ordered the Beef Brisket and the Chicken. Loved both.
Best food ever! Amazing service and really great ambiance!
Best Mexican food, salsa, guacamole and drinks!!
The meal tonight at El Camino was fantastic. From the margarita to the fajitas everything tasted great. Service was fantastic. The manager Chris is wonderful. Can’t wait to return.
Service was very slow disappointed
We had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation to get seating which wasn’t a big deal but the waiter was nice enough to comp our guacamole! 😁great service!
Great everything... I even received a call the next afternoon to be sure we enjoyed our time! Will definitely return as part of our restaurant rotation!
Great service, great drinks and small plates for happy hour. Only thing negative to say is that it is very noisy. But we had a great time and will go again
Went because we heard how good the happy hour was, but they only served it at the bar which was a bummer. Not on the website or menu either.
Food was decent. Chips and salsas were legit the best in town. Had the avocado salad and was pleasant. Drinks were nice
Amazing homemade food, impeccable service (Maria is THE best...so attentive and knowledgeable) and great ambiance. The noise level is so loud but worth overlooking.
Came here with a few friends and my 8lb puppy for drinks and dinner. Requested to sit outside since I have my puppy - they wouldn’t let her sit in my lap. She is tiny and black and luckily I had her glow collar with her but not safe to put her on the ground. After 30 minutes I left.
Plenty of dog friendly places on las Olas and this is NOT one of them. They were kind of jerky and rude about it. If you want to bring your pup go to Louie Bossi. Much nicer.
Good food! Good location and customer service. I like it there!
Amazing food. Great service. Everyone is very attentive
We frequently dine here. Love the food and margaritas but it is very loud there so go during off peak hours so you don’t have to yell at each other across the table.
Too loud to have a conversation. 20 minute wait for a drink which was then not available. Been many times but will not be back.
Music was way to loud...everything else was great!
Absolutely amazing service, was checked on the perfect amount of times. The manager even came over to our table to make sure we e we’re enjoying ourselves. Very fun environment and great food and drinks.
They gave my reservations away. Food was cold not seasoned.
Sat on patio and it was hot Ceiling fans were rotating backwards on winter setting versus blowing air downward to cool the area
Had workmates in from out of town and took them to El Camino. They loved it! Quick seating, great service and tacos were perfect!
Great food and service. Only concern is noise level. If you looking to have a conversation, this is a tough place. Otherwise it is really good.
The Woodlands Texas would be a GREAT spot to plant an El Camino!!!
All good food and vibe at El Camino.
We had a dinner reservation for 7:30pm but we did not get seated until 8:25pm. Once we were seated the food and service were wonderful!
