We couldn’t fault the food, ambiance or service all of which were excellent. The only gripe was that a 15% service fee was automatically added to the bill which is very high considering we were only 2 people not a group and it was an expensive meal anyway so the standard 12% would have still been a generous tip. A lovely restaurant for a special occasion but please consider allowing discretionary tipping

Great food, great atmosphere, very nice unintrusive and efficient service, the live music and dancing were a welcome additional touch. A great option for an evening out with friends. We’ll be back!

I had really high expectations for this place based on previous recommendations, however, the food was okay, nothing exceptional, portions were small and pricey, the octopus was chewy, the croquetas were more mushy than crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, mashed potatoes were not creamy and so on. The staff was very kind and on top of things, we were pleased with that.

Several starters ordered were very nice, croquettes, fried aubergine, Iberico ham. Portion sizes could have been bigger. Large plate main of Rib Eye was excellent, very well cooked. The Slow Roast Lamb was disappointing, could have fed one person. Service was efficient and very friendly.

Food was poor quality and over priced. The paella was dry and tasted of nothing other than salt. The service was slow and had to keep repeating requests. The restaurant is beautifully decorated but food wise- i wouldnt return.

Not my first visit, and each visit the restaurant has delivered excellent food, and great service, with a convivial atmosphere. What I noticed on this visit is that the portions were quite small, and in the case of the main courses, very sparse. The monkfish and the wagyu burger both arrived without any garnish, vegetables or even decoration. The spinach side order was very small. This is an expensive restaurant, and I would have expected more. The food was excellent, and the service generally efficient and friendly.

The food was okay overall. A few items were salty like the ox cheek and paella de mariscos (one of their most expensive items on the menu). They like to portray themselves as fine dining but as soon as I walked in they started mentioning the time window we had but mind you the restaurant was almost completely empty when we arrived. The waiter wasn’t polite. He mentioned the time frame as soon as we sat at our table and again, the tables were still pretty empty at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The waiter forgot to bring our espárragos with our meat course and then pretended like he didn’t. He never brought still water unless we asked him to and only offered alcoholic beverages throughout our dining experience. To top it all off, a 14% pound service charge was added to our bill. The worse London dining experience I’ve had by far. For sure, I will never go back.

Food was mostly very good, but we were underwhelmed by the £95 paella, it was definitely overpriced. Prices in general very high but you expect this from Mayfair. Ambience was very good and the entertainment was great and they had a good balance of entertainment where there was periods of no entertainment for chatting. They were out of the house white (Rioja) and another bottle of Rioja, so only 1/3 Riojas available from the menu. This needs to be better. Service should have been better for the prices and for the calibre of restaurant. Waiter wasn’t attentive enough, we had to ask on multiple occasions for more drinks/water, ask for steak knives and every time we tried to call him he was away for long periods of time. We disputed the 15% service charge as we weren’t happy paying £70 service. We were happy to pay 10%, but this wasn’t handled well and we were told it was 15% or nothing, we felt the attitude wasn’t great. So we ended up leaving no tip which we didn’t want to do. Would I return, probably not. Would I recommend to others- probably not, there are better restaurants out there for the price.

We went for bottomless cava but the waiter did not tell us how long it was for and so we were charged at the end for extra glasses when we weren’t told the end time. The dancers were good but the food isn’t great - small portions and there are much better Spanish restaurants!

Lovely restaurant and saw one of the owners out of the two brothers. It’s still got a way to go regarding atmosphere similar to their competitors like Isabel and all the other restaurants on the same street but so far so good. Only downfall is the music was a little to loud so you can find it difficult to hear your partner/friend(s). I would like to add that although the food was good, please pay attention to your salt levels as this was quite evident in your tuna tartare and lentils with the octopus.

Dined at this restaurant on a Friday night with friends. I have to say their basque rib eye is probably one of the best steaks I had in London! They had a live show of dancers that night, and we enjoyed it very much. Entertaining but not too intrusive 👌

We had an amazing time at El Norte! Been there few times but that time was the best as they changed the menu and added paella! We thoroughly enjoyed it and the wine selection too, we will definitely be back soon!

We have been to many high end Spanish restaurant and this one in comparison is no where near. Both in quality and taste of food and prices. All dishes are highly exaggerated in price for the very average, very small portions that is offered . Very disappointing.

Food was nice, staff were very pleasant, but we hadn’t appreciated that the Fiesta night on the Friday would be quite as loud as it was (we anticipated Spanish guitar or something like that, but the performance was a singer and two dancers). I’m not sure the costumes were very appropriate for a restaurant setting at 8pm - a lot of skin and at one point underwear on show. Not what I’d expected and it detracted a bit from the enjoyment. Boozy brunch vibe rather than a nice Friday meal. I’m sure any other night of the week would’ve been far more in line with our expectations.

We really enjoyed the food. The athmosphere was surreal. There were three children jumping and shouting all over the restaurant. We asked gently the waiter to ask them to keep it a bit quieter as we wanted to enjoy as well our lunch. The manager of the restursnt came over apologising for the behaviour of the children but clearly saying as well that he couldn’t do anything as they were the children of a famous rapper having lunch there . I think that is surreal. How can justify an impolite behaviour with the “status” of the parents. Is the rapper a more important client? Okay. We got a free dessert but that’s absolutely not what you expect from such a resturant.

An all over excellent Spanish restaurant. Their Tapas portions are generous and all starters we tried were absolutely wonderful. Dover Sole was very good but not fantastic. Service attention and hospitality of the staff are top and hard to beat. Ameen did an an amazing job taking care of my guests. El Norte has become a favourite of ours.
