Excellent service in a homey feel restarant, with homecooked meal strategy.

The team at El Porteño were gracious and kind, and our party of 16 had an AMAZING time together. We were worried b/c we had a large group, including some vegetarians, but everything from appetizers to pasta was absolutely fantastic, and we all left in a happy haze.

The food was absolutely delicious. I found the prices to be fair. The service was fantastic. We were celebrating my dad's 92nd birthday and the waitress and the chef were both very attentive.

This restaurant was formerly known as Loui with same Owners and same Chef.
They revamped the menu towards an Argentinian theme and feature Argentinian wines from Don Catena.
We enjoyed a nice red blend although a bit over priced.
Wine selection is limited and costly.
We both ordered steaks which were cooked to perfection with one of the best peppercorn sauces I’ve had.
Nice portions of sides and fresh bread.
Interior decor changed a bit yet place still remains intimate and cozy.
Marcela the owner is on hand and we always feel at home.
We are looking forward to returning when they feature a Tango singer, signature music of Argentina.
Enjoy!

Our dinner at porteño was very nice and delicious overall. The menu was quite limited, 4 appetizers, 3 strak entrees, 4 alternative entrees with pastas, and 3 desserts. But everything we selected was utterly delicious and well prepared. I had the trio of empanadas: chicken, beef, and cheese with onions. All 3 were great, served with encurtido (pickled onions, peppers) and chimichurri. My entree was the “Steak Porteño” with rustic potatoes. This was the typical Argentine Churrasco and it was served with chimuchurri allready topping it. Dessert was an excellent Tiramisu and a decaf expresso. We sat outside since we were a group of 5. The inside had folks dancing to live music.

The service and attention were superb. Location great. Food delicious (very well presented/prepared) though portion of veggies accompaniment to my steak seemed more like a decoration than side-dish.
