The food here is fabulous and I always get a margarita as they are great!
Fantastic, authentic food accompanied by diligent and friendly service. Perfect atmosphere with perhaps a few too many Shakira songs (maybe not enough for some). Definitely will be returning to sample more of the vast menu.
Loved my recent visit to this hidden gem in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Food was plentiful and delicious - all very varied and tasted fresh. Beautiful sangria and the service was great - staff were so friendly. Sat downstairs which was quiet - perfect for me and my parents. Upstairs was more lively.
The food and micheladas were very good but the wait staff kept coming to take food away before we were even finished with it!
Second time visiting and a great place to eat some Mexican cuisine. Good flavours, great staff and lovely atmosphere. They were out of a few things but that show how popular they are!
Lovely food, I always love going there! Would highly recommend it to anyone!!
Lovely and tasty, lots of variety of fillings. We will be back
Great food, great drinks, wonderful service and great atmosphere!
Taco Tuesdays... Brilliant! Offering a real value for money meal, that clearly has love in the food. Absolutely recommend this place.
Came before a concert in Feb as we needed something quick so taco Tuesdays was perfect. The food was amazing and only cost us £18 for 2 people! Will definitely be back.
Very good food and very nice service
I am very happy
The staff are excellent. The descriptions and explanations of dishes are thorough and interesting so you'll like know what to expect but as the menu is authentic the dishes are still an exciting surprise for someone like myself with a limited experience of Mexican food. Would recommend to anyone.
Service staff very attentive and knowledgeable, quick and good food
Food was terrible small portions and not much taste
Main courses arrived before starters , no outstanding flavours making each portion indistinguishable from the others , bordering on bland . Very disappointed as we had been looking forward to this visit as there is very little on offer in Manchester apart from usual chains serving Mexican . Have done always enjoyed Solita so expected same standard . Perhaps I expected something like I've had in US .
Having all visited Mexico we were interested to see how authentic the food was and the verdict is..... Good!!! Some delicious tacos . Will visit again.
Food was nice but small portions we did ask advice on ordering size wise and it wasn’t forthcoming .. So the portions seemed small and not great value for money.
I visited saturday evening with the family. Bubbly atmosphere. Lively. Friendly service. Lots of good great food choices. We had the fish and and beef brisket main dishes. Off the beaten track but well worth it.
Thanks El Taquero!
Fantastic restaurant, tucked away in the northern quarter. Food was amazing and authentically Mexican, the staff are friendly and attentive. Excellent place, we’re going back next week with our kids. Would recommend to anyone 👍
This restaurant is so lovely - the food is really different to anywhere else in the centre of Manchester. It is tucked away down a quiet street but that hides a real gem. I’ve now been a few times but this was the first with the new menu ... it is fab! I need to go back soon to try more dishes!!
Ok food - not loads of flavour but then they do provide you with some sauces to spice up the dishes.
Really well presented and authentic seeming Mexican tapas. Friendly staff. Was oddly quieter than when I've been in there previously but I suspect that has a lot more to do with the World Cup rather than losing customer loyalty. Very good and I will be back again.
Arrived at booking time and we were attended to and seated immediately. Food and drinks arrived quickly and waitresses were friendly and attentive. Food quality was good and prices reasonable, with a decent selection of beers and soft drinks available. Not the easiest of places to find but well worth a visit and I will definitely visit again.
Went about a month ago and food was excellent. Disappointing this time though, not nearly as tasty and less effort put into presentation. Service was quick but felt a bit disengaged. Seems a bit overpriced for the quality now. Hopefully they can get back on track soon!
Went here on a spur of the moment on a Friday night. It was very busy but the staff still had loads of time for us and served us really quickly. We had a mixture of different tacos and tasted Cactus for the first time - it was so good! My fav taco was the steak one. Unfortunate they didn’t have any of the potato tacos so i couldn’t try them.
The atmosphere was really lively but at the same time chilled out. A really nice place I’ll definitely visit again!
Food was tasty and came out quickly once ordered. Took a while for our drinks to arrive though. Enjoyed the evening and would return
I booked a table there, went outside the restaurant and it was shut. Never going there again!
My friend and I visited recently and found this place to be a hidden gem. Tucked away from the main area of Manchester this place is so nice. We were greeted with a lovely welcome at the door. Once seated we had our order taken quickly and when the food arrived the lovely waitress explained what all the ingredients were which was really great. The food was so good and washed down with frozen margaritas !
We were already saying we will be back before we had even finished.
Highly recommend this place.
Really good fresh mexican food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
The food here is amazing. Really fresh, with fabulous flavours. The service is always great too.
Great value place. Excellent guacamole and tacos. They ought to do tea and coffee though!
Tasty tacos and magnificent margaritas, friendly service made this a great spot for a goodnight out
Enjoyed a catch up with a friend here, wanted casual easy dining and it fitted the bill. Staff friendly and helpful, had nachos and a few mixed taco options to share all of which were tasty.
Improvement in ingredients and tacos. Close enough to real stuff. Gracias, la pasamos muy bien!
Waitress was very friendly and informative and three tacos and a beer or frozen margherita for £7.50 is a good deal.
Found the food to be fairly bland and uninteresting. Was expecting more.
I met a friend here for food after work. The service was fab, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Only one thing on the menu isn't gluten free, which is awesome as being gluten intolerant it's so hard to find decent options in most eateries. The restaurant set-up was nice, lovely decor and a good ambience. The food was really tasty, we got recommendations from our waitress, they did not disappoint. It was extremely good value and I would definitely recommend this place for a casual bite to eat, or a place to start off the night.
Great food! All very fresh and good quality. Great vegetarian options. Could do with more dessert choices though.
This is not a complaint, just more of an advice post.
Let me start out by saying the food is amazing!
I had the Mar y Tierra and Pescado Frito with a side of Tortilla chips!
The tastes are fantastic, presentation was OK, but who really cares when it tastes so good.
I’d recommended 3 tacos with a side to feel really full up.
They also include complimentary garnishes, which are amazing! It would be nice is they sold those by the bottle :)
However the only down side was the service was a bit slow, so if you’re on a lunch hour do be careful.
I understand we were a large group and they made every effort to cater for us also, but it was a bit slow.
The restaurant is a very nice place, but it also does still feel a bit rough around the edges and not as welcoming as Solita.
Finally we could only book a table for 6 people? Is that a bug with open table or the restaurant?
Overall though a great eat and I presume after a few months of operating these issues will be worked out.
Great tacos, fab place to go with a group of friends.
