El Torito - Redondo Beach

They made reservations but it was no outside dining and my food was not hot .

It was ok. A little cold on the pier with the outdoor seating. The heat lamp was on but it was still cold. The floors were slippery and the floor under our table was a mess. There was a salsa under the table smeared everywhere. The table was sticky as well. Made me feel like the place wasn’t very sanitary.

We made a reservation for brunch but somehow we were seated in an isolated area with no view behind a sign. Ended up being a blessing in disguise. Julio was an awesome server and the rest of the staff was very attentive!! Highly recommend and the food was amazing!

Chicken quesadillas were way too greasy, had almost no cheese and chicken was not the usual grilled chicken I’ve had in the past.

Food and service were good. Table and chairs were very damp due to the weather and being outside. Our table was kind of tucked in the corner. Poor lighting. Overall good experience considering COVID restrictions.

Service was great. We were seated quickly at our reservation time and our waiter was delightful. Good experience !

2 out of 6 orders wrong. Chips were stale and the food is never as good as other ETs.

A little disappointed we had a reservation and those who didn’t were seated before we were. I believe they forgot about us.


Our waitress was VERY attentive. Hard to hear her over the double masks, but we made it work.

It's fabulous getting out again. It's a learning curve for all of us getting back into the routines of life.

Took the family out for a birthday dinner. Restaurant wasn’t too busy, but the service and food were excellent as usual. Enjoyed ourselves. Thanks El Torito.

YES, for beautiful view and great food... but definitely NOT for a quite romantic dinner. Much parties happening at this location. :-)

I enjoyed the gorgeous setting and the service we received was prompt, friendly and terrific. The food was tasty, generous, and the coffee was great (not always true at brunch buffets).

The price of the brunch buffet, however (shame on me for not checking in advance), was a little stunning when the bill arrived. My friend and I both enjoyed our meals, but would have preferred to have a menu order option.

The location is wonderful. We were seated near the window overseeing the beach-a beautiful sight. The staff was very friendly, but at times they would take a bit long to come and check if we needed something. The food was flavorful and delicious. Our overall experience was awesome. I just wish staff would have checked in with us a bit more given at times we had questions or needed refills. Thank you to everyone.

Perfect for what went for.

I always enjoy this location but this day, none of the reservations seemed to be in there systems as I was waiting nearly 15 minutes to be seated as were two other parties. Aside from that, my experience was pleasant and the hostess tried her best to accommodate us in getting seated.

They advertised a special day for Valentine's and the only thing different was a menu. No valentine's decorations or even Mariachis playing for the night. It was just another day very disappointing. I would of taken my spouse somewhere else. We had to wait so long and for the check almost 20 min. Very very disappointed.

Food and drinks are always delicious and affordable. Beautiful view of the ocean and beach right outside. Workers are always attentive and great attitudes. We always enjoy coming here. Thank You Very much!

Valentine's day is one of the busiest, the staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. No much of a wait time quick friendly service.

Very friendly , cordial . Food was amazing ! Celebrated my birthday with my family party of 20 and they accommodated to us and made sure we were well taken care of

When we arrived, it took over 20 minutes before our server came to our table to at least give us chips and ask if we wanted drinks and appetizers. We told her what we wanted and our appetizers came long before our drinks. Took awhile for our order to be taken. People that came after us (twice over) had already eaten and gone. Then they were out of cucumbers for the drink special they had, they were out of sprite and pepsi for our refills. We wanted to pay the bill and that alone took just as long. We asked for the bill just before 9pm as our parking was going to expire in 35 minutes to which it took almost 40 minutes to process. They tried to void our transaction because when we paid with a card, the amount was more than the bill that was given to us. They couldn't give us a voided receipt and attempted to use the card again and the system was slow that we ended up having to leave without knowing if it went through or not with the correct amount. The food and desert were great just hard to believe the service and the fact they ran out of things was poor. I've eaten there before but never experienced this and we were there celebrating birthdays too. The server was nice and apologized but still, its going to be awhile before we go there again with our group.

The view is fabulous. The food okay. The space is too spread out and crowded. Worth it for the view though.

Great view!! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and Redondo Beach is a great place to spend your day!! I will definitely return to El Torito.

Food was way below standard. Water being added to queso just to make it available because they were running out of everything on that night. We ordered sour cream enchiladas which should have white sour cream sauce on top but it came with yellow cheese sauce and everytime we complained about something, the waiter told us that oh its just because it is being made fresh. How does white sour cream sauce made fresh look and taste like cheese sauce? Overall service was poor, and food was terrible. No apologies and no discounts given at all.

Not happy with first contact with host requested window seat did not get at first had to remind too busy so service could have been better in the end waiter redeemed himself food dry not enough mole will not return take lesson from Lucio's in Torrance regarding presentation and mole taste.

Waitress always shows desire to make sure you are well attended

Food was on the cold side for the buffet but a decent variety with the mexican food.

Unaware that Sunday is brunch not lunch when making the reservation. Noise level was deafening

Made the reservations for 5 people through Open Table. I checked the box that it was for a Birthday. Waiters sang Happy Birthday to other tables but no one came to our table to sing. I mentioned it to the waiter upon leaving and he said no one had mentioned it to him. The food was pretty good, but my roommate ordered fish tacos and had a large bone in it. The waiter did comp her meal though which was nice. Service was very good. Salsa is extremely bland, but we asked for a hotter salsa and they brought us some. It's a nice place especially for people from out of town since it has a great view of the beach and ocean.

Great service and even better views. We were able to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday without feeling rushed. Our champagne glasses were kept full at all times and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Not the flashiest place in town but good value for money food. Service was prompt and I have always enjoyed their cadillac margarita. Great for families. Only negative is, the place is looking g a bit rundown, but so does the rest of Redondo pier.

Mom’s birthday brunch was a nice celebration at El Torito on the RB pier. A bit noisy but a good place to go if you’re taking kids. Lots of choices to eat, everyone was happy with their food. Server kept the mimosas full 😀

We had a family reunion, party of 28 and the dinner was served quickly for all. I did not hear any complaints from our group and with having a few different tabs, it all went smoothly. I would definitely recommend El Torito for either a date night or party with group. The bar was great as well with that 1st margarita! Great night.

It was amazing! The table was perfect with a beautiful view. We had so much fun on our date. The service for a Saturday night was great. The food was delicious. The over all it was great.

Our sever wasn't attentive to our table at all. I had to ask for more salsa and he didn't provide us with anymore chips. El Torito is using a new hand held smart device to collect payment, and we pretty much had to figure out how to use it ourselves. Our sever was absolutely no help. I've had better experiences while dining here.
Update : I just learned that I was charged twice for my meal.
