Great NYE experience. The Maitre D was very accommodating to create seating for us which required basically rebuilding a whole area. The staff was genuinely concerned with making sure we were well taken care of. Food was overall very delicious, cod fish entree could have had a little more flavor though but otherwise very great experience and I’ll definitely be back!

Lovely outdoor space set up with heaters and plastic screens for covid protection from other diners. Execellent service & food is amazing!

My wife and I had an anniversary dinner celebration at Elea and we were BLOWN AWAY by how great everything was. The food: Outstandingly fresh seafood (grilled fish, seafood risotto), plus sautéed spinach and a delicious cocktail. The ambience: Wonderful, GORGEOUS space. The service: Very friendly and attentive. (Took a little while to get a refill of the bread - but who cares.) WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!

We mentioned a birthday THREE times but we were ignored. Then they celebrated another table right in front of us. Their response, “you should of added it to the reservation. It’s not our responsibility.”
Well, it was added to the Open Table reservation twice and it was mentioned to our server. It’s just really rude especially when you celebrate another table’s birthday right in front of us. The food is great at Elea but the service is rude/slow.

Went to celebrate my birthday and the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Their outdoor seating is lovely and the food fresh and delicious.

Had lunch on a beautiful Saturday. Their outside space is adequate, though crowded and tables are not six feet apart. Food was excellent and bloody Mary very spicy. Service was good and they did not rush us to finish. A bonus was the Jazz Music.

It’s a beautiful space, excellent ambiance, within the restaurant and out on the patio. We ordered small plates, and the food quality and presentation was on par.

I was very upset when my request to sit outside when making the reservation, was ignored. They only had a table for us inside which made us all very uncomfortable. There was not enough fresh air flowing inside (only a small front door could be left open). I booked this restaurant specifically because of it’s outdoor seating. During these Covid days, it should be made clear upon confirmation of every reservation, whether the table will be inside or outside

Really enjoyed eating here for my friend’s seventieth birthday party. The staff is exceptionally nice and the food was wonderful. Five stars

Great environment. They've done a terrific job to accommodate outdoor dining even into chilly nights. The quality of the food is ok but is the weakest link of an otherwise great place with excellent service.

At the time of our arrival (on time) we were told by the hostess that our dinner was limited to just 90 minutes. Which was, I must say, quite a surprise.
Please note, that the staff made sure we felt it, even though we ordered plenty of food and drinks.
Everything was rush-rush-rush.

If you have certain time limitations at your restaurant, please make sure you have it posted everywhere, so your potential clientele could CLEARLY see it and make a decision to spend their money at your place or don’t even bother beforehand.

Love the music on the weekends, heat lamps kept me toasty, and the food was very good! My issue was with the drinks. I had a sangria that was beyond sweet and a Bloody Mary that did not taste great.

Food is super fresh and staff very friendly. Great atmosphere.

Much better for dinner ( much) than for Sunday brunch

The food was absolutely incredible and the brunch menu was perfectly priced. Unfortunately, when we sat down for our reservation at 2:45, the wait staff was less than accommodating and we had to push to have brunch, even though they allowed reservations at that time and they gave us the brunch menu when we sat down. The food and atmosphere was amazing, but they weren't clear on what they offered.

Elea has excellent food. The service is friendly and efficient. The outside seating is attractive and well spaced. It’s expensive but worth it. Really a neighborhood gem. We had live music at lunch which was delightful.

Great food and great service. Proper social distancing inside with the plexiglass barriers. If you are dining outside you might be closer to other guests than you prefer, however there are still barriers keeping you safe.

Our waiter was outstanding in helping with selections and friendliness of staff.

The grilled octopus was out of this world.

They were pushing their limits regarding covid-19 regulations. Tables too close together and the restaurant packed inside and outside.

We had a reservation for outdoors and waited a half and hour. Not good. Restaurant needs to honor reservations in a timely fashion

Food was just good. $36 for grilled fish (no sides)! Additional 10 for a side of spinach. Service was not very good. They brought out 2 of our cocktails and forgot about the other 2 until we asked.

Food was amazing, service was great, outside dining was warm and separated by dividers.

Everything was amazing and wonderful! I highly recommend and I will definitely be back soon!

A wonderful restaurant doing its best and beyond in these difficult times

The seating felt like they were pushing the limits of COVID-19 protocol/seating a little TOO tightly - not every table had plexi barriers between them when they should have being less than 6ft apart.

This was my first visit to Eléa since the Covid shutdown. A friend and I were celebrating our birthdays. The staff were so warmly welcoming! Eléa has brought the elegance of the interior to the outside sidewalk, which was filled to capacity; a few indoor tables were filled as well. The food was wonderful, as always. Thank you, Eléa, for an exquisite dining experience during this challenging time.

Our experience at Elea was not good overall. The food was too salty and uninteresting. I had a schrimp orzo and my husband the veg moussaka., Definitely not authentic Greek (I should know as I was born and raised in Greece). The spreads were not freshly made and what they called “tyrokafteri” was not what one would have in Greece. The favs was tasteless. In terms of service, we asked for extra pita bread three times and ended up never getting it. In terms of space, the tables are too close to one another. There was barely any space to sit comfortably and definitely not 6 feet away from other tables. I would not go back to this restaurant.

Fabulous dishes, fun wine list, wonderful ambiance with its terrace pouring into the streetside, well shielded from the traffic. Love it, my new go-to in the UWS.

Great food service and social distinction outside

Very delicious authentic Greek food! We were working our way through a bunch of appetizers, since they all looked really tasty, and got stuffed! The staff gave amazing service for our anniversary date. Thank you! We will definitely be back for the rest of the menu in the near future!
