Executive Chef Scott Anderson chose the name "elements" for the restaurant because he is passionate about sourcing fresh, local, organic ingredients and sustainably raised meats and seafood. He wants the very elements of your meal to play a major role in the taste of it. Then he and his team work to reveal the complementary flavor dimensions inherent in the elements by skillfully combining them—often in edgy new ways. Restaurant menus change constantly here, making this the dinner restaurant that is excitingly different every time you return.

If you're a foodie, you want to know where—and how--your food grew. It's fascinating, it's a good health practice and it provides extra pleasure from everyday experiences, like a meal with friends. elements is the American restaurant serving local steak and seafood, but with global influences in seasoning and cooking methods. A true culinary adventure!

Amazing experience. Each dish was unique (not to mention delicious), the service was fantastic, and the restaurant's space is beautiful. Would highly recommend!

We had a dinner for the Valentine’s Day!
At first we waited 30 minutes in front of the elevator. They didn’t propose any drinks or seats for waiting. It was in an entrance and it was very cold.
The menu looked like good but only two plat (Tuna and dessert) were good and on the right level of this restaurant.
The service was poor and we waited until 20 minutes between two plats. We waited for the wine also and nobody took care of us.
The quality was completely bad and not like a fine restaurant.
We were completely disappointed by this place and we don’t recommend it. It was very expensive and our foreign card didn’t work!!! Impossible to compare it as a fine and big restaurant!!!!

Every course was amazing and was cooked/tasted better than I could have imagined! The cocktails were also extremely yummy! Just plan on spending some romantic time at the restaurant - as the pace is a little slower. You will not be rushed! I am sure to be back!

For a Birthday. Everything was awesome. Japanese Wagyu Beef was definitely the best ever. There’s really nothing much else to say than Elements is always a phenomenal experience every time we go.

Elements is Princeton’s only fine dining. It delivers every time but we must support it if we are not to lose it, like Lahiere’s. Don’t reserve for special occasions - make every day a special occasion , which it is. Go often to support this wonderful Princeton treasure. Use it or lose it. The serene space and ethereal food and warm pampered service will remind you that supporting these fine chefs is no hardship!

The food was absolutely delicious. It was prepared with care and really fresh ingredients The personnel was very attentive and the dishes and glasses and bathrooms were classy and very clean.
I would have loved to dine in the main dining room to see the kitchen workers prepare the food. It is truly an art to prepare and serve such beautiful and delicious food.

Been to Elements a number of times over the years even before they moved downtown . Food is always exceptional but this time the service was poor. Waitstaff reached across my wife a number of times to pick up dishes . In addition she was drinking water as her beverage and her glass was empty for a good portion of the meal. Finally the should inform your guests that you that a 20% tip was included in the bill. I think a restaurant of this caliber can be better all around.

Not what I expected , for all the great reviews I was VERY DISAPPOINTED! Read my review on trip advisor traveler260. I have dined at hundreds of restaurants and most all Michelin 3 star rated in the area, would not take the drive to dine again

Outstanding!!! Each time I go I wait for my expectations to be dashed; they ratchet in one direction (ever increasingly impossible to please) yet somehow, some way Elements hits it out of the park!! Attention to detail, exceptional ingredients artfully presented and thoughtfully prepared makes this the finest of fine special occasion (or expense account) must-haves in Princeton.

The food was very good and of high quality but there wasn’t a dish we found spectacular.
The restaurant ambiance, level of noise and service also did not meet our expectation. Some examples include not getting the table I requested even though it was available, changing waiters, being unable to get the check for 20 min because no one was watching and our waiter has left, and mixing my husband’s name up with someone else on their birthday card. If the prices suited the ‘more casual’ experience, I would rate it higher.

This is a special place, in all aspects. Everything that surrounds your main course is delicious. The bread is to die for. Our main, courses were very good, but not as extraordinary as everything else. Service is most gracious, helpful, professional. This is Princeton’s best.

Went for special NY's eve tasting menu. STUNNING. SPECTACULAR. PHENOMENAL. In every way. Just finished celebrating a milestone birthday at three of NYC's finest restaurants, and as great as they all were, elements was even better. Really, it was MIND-BLOWING. Thank you, thank you!!

I was so disappointed! I was planning on booking a party here after I had an amazing experience in November. 75% of the dishes were lukewarm and had been sitting, we had a 30 minute lag between courses at one point, we were in a cold room off the dining room (the manager tried to stuff dinner napkins in the window as it was pouring cold air the whole dinner) and the light (fluorescent/not restaurant lighting) flickered above is for 3+ hours—not to mention the dining chair was breaking and had to be replaced. We asked to leave before dinner started but the policy is that all canceled reservations are charged in full. We had a really disappointing dinner for NYE at 400 dollars, and after poor execution of the food compared to my last visit I was surprised to see 20% gratuity was still added. I would appreciate a manager making this right.

Went to this gourmet restaurant for New Years Eve and had a wonderful dining experience. The 5 course menu (with additional amuse bouche surprises) was wonderful in the variety and top quality of the courses. Diners had choices from appy to dessert with variety spanning tuna to ribeye there was a choice for everyone.
While the dining area is small the tables are spaced very far apart so conversations can be kept away from your neighbor.
The only very very minor complaint was the multitude of servers - from cooks by the stove to jacketed server staff. One never knew who to call for a question or get attention.
Definitely one of the top restaurants in central NJ

Elements continues to lead the culinary world of Princeton with imaginative menu and flawless execution. There has been a turnover in front of the house with new waitstaff and sommelier, making you yearn for the old times. In particular, the knowledge and talkativeness of the departed sommelier Marin is missed. The chef needs to streamline service to attain greater laurels and coveted awards. Will be back soon to assess progress and to enjoy the creative cooking and special events. Highly recommended for great food and atmosphere.

Just go. It’s awesome. It’s really great that a restaurant like this is in Princeton. Usually you have to go to Philly or NYC to experience something similar.

It’s high end but down to earth. No snooty waiters. Everyone who came to our table was friendly. My wife was freaked out by the smoked quail egg but the chef who brought it was very cool about it and told her to just pop the egg in her mouth. She thought it was great. The rib eye might have been the best I ever had.
